Lorielle considers his words and then nods. "I suppose that's true. And from what you're telling me, you are apparently correct - although I hate to think that the Queen lied to me all these years." She shrugs. "If I ever go back, maybe I'll ask her."

She giggles when he talks about a twirl among the stars. "That is true.. there is nothing quite like the freedom of soaring amongst the stars. But for now, I suppose we are both confined to this vessel." She will take his hand and let him guide her to the practice hall.

Along the way to the practice room, Lorielle receives several more curious glances, particularly towards her wings, but no one bothers her or seems intrusive about it. When they reach the room, they take up a position against one of the walls. Arkan smirks and leans back. "So, let's see your dance. I'm sure I'll be able to join in."

Lorielle takes a look around the room, taking in all the others who are practicing before stepping back from Arkan to take her position.

She closes her eyes and concentrates - for two reasons.
First she uses her races ability to phase-shift their mass to reduce hers to only a third of what it normally is.
Second, she strains her senses, seeking the solar winds that still rain against the vessel, and even through it. The winds are her music.. the stars themselves the song that she dances too.

She takes a breath - and then begins to move.

At first her steps are slow.. tentative.. but it doesn't take long for her to find the melody of the song and pick it up. Her body arches as her long legs stretch high above her head, holding poses that would be impossible for most humanoids to keep their balance. But her reduced mass, and a little flutter of her wings allow her to keep balance.

She glides across the floor to the song only she can hear, limbs reaching.. head tossing, letting her long hair flow around her as if it were part of her costume.

The dance is extraordinarily graceful.. beautifully sensual.. and subtly erotic. A dance that only a true Star Faerie could ever perform.

Arkan watches with his arms folded for a few minutes, taking in her movements and the rhythm her body has found. He can't here the music of the cosmos the way she can, but he seems to be interpreting it through her.

Finally, he steps forward, and deftly catches one of her moving hands in his. Moving behind her, he places a hand on her hip, and, with grace and confidence, spins her around him in perfect tempo with her previous movements. He falls into step with her, twirling her and moving beside and behind her, like a gentle wave underlying her ripples. His eyes are gentle, but focused, and it seems as if his entire being is being channeled to follow along with her motions. Every so often, his muscular arms lift her effortlessly from the floor as he spins her around, before lowering her to finish her pirouette. At times, he only stands back, and lets her movements fill up the whole space, capturing the moment all for herself.

As he finally steps back, it seems like even his breathing has synchronized with her. "I think you're an even better dancer than Isara," he says with a grin.

Lorielle gives a soft gasp when Arkan first steps up, and spins her around. That is the only sign of a reaction though, as her dance never falters, and she steps with Arkan as if they were synchronized to the song.

Her dance if anything grows stronger with his presence.. her motions sharper, faster and more precise.. her poses more sexual and erotic. She loses herself in the song and the dance..just letting it flow through and around her. The dance goes on for a full fifteen minutes after he joined her before it reaches it's conclusion, and he steps back.

Lorielle is breathing a bit heavily.. her eyes bright and shining.. her skin glistening with the slight sheen of sweat, and flushed with exertion.

When he compliments her dancing though, she blushes. "Thank you. You are amazing as well.. I've never had someone just.. step in like that. To predict and feel the dance almost before I could move."

"I've had a lot of practice picking up partners," he explains. "It all comes down to being able to read their movements. Evolutionary, my species descends from predators, so I think I have a genetic knack for it. Still, I'm not even the best on this ship."

He glances around. Quite a few of the rooms occupants are watching them, although most of their attention seems to be more on Lorielle than Arkan. They're smiling pleasantly, but the intensity of their gaze is noticeable. "Speaking of which, looks like you're already getting some fans. I'm sure you'll get a chance to perform with quite a few of us. You should try to enjoy it." As he speaks, he grabs a towel from a basket in the corner. He passes one to her before wiping his brow and face.

Lorielle gives a soft laugh when Arkan talks about being able to read her dance because of evolution. "Or maybe you're just an excellent partner." she says.

When Lorielle notices that they've gotten a lot of attention, she smiles at everyone and gives a little bow. Even if she notices that there is more attention on her, she figures it is either because she is new, because she is a Star Faerie, or because she was the center of the dance, with Arkan acting as a supporting partner - rather than a duet dance.

"If they are all as good a partner as you are, Arkan, I am sure that I will enjoy it immensely." she tells him.

Like all of her race, Lorielle has little in the way of taboos or sense of modesty (which is obvious given her normal dress style). She has no problem drying off in front of everyone - including bending over to dry off her long legs, or rubbing the towel down over and between her breasts.

Arkan stands just out of her field of vision as she dries off, inadvertently putting her whole body on an inviting display. "I'm sure we all will," he agrees, keeping his voice even and steady. "Well, it's been splendid, but I've gotta go talk to some of the other performers right now. Feel free to keep practicing." He gives her a bow, before departing. "And don't miss dinner," he calls over his shoulder.

The other members in the room seem to go about their business. A few glance her way and whisper to their colleagues, but there's no overwhelming sense of bad intent in the room.

Lorielle nods. "Thank you Arkan."

Once he leaves, Lorielle will find space again and then begin another dance. This one is more energetic than the last.. causing her breasts to bounce seductively, and her hair to fly and float behind her because of her near weightless state. She even uses her wings as much as the space allows, adding in flying spins and twirls to the dance. Each movement speaks of the deep inherent sexuality of Star Faeries in general, and Lorielle is exceptional amongst her kind.

She will dance like that for another half hour - far longer than most species could hold such a dance, speaking again to the great stamina and endurance of her race.

When she finally settles to the floor, she is glistening with perspiration, and her hair is nearly matted to her - but she seems barely winded - as if she could do this for hours more.

She'll pick up her towel again, and as she rubs herself off she'll approach another of the male performers in the room - a strange looking reptilian humanoid, somewhere between a gator and a dinosaur, with three scaly tentacles on each side as opposed to arms. "Excuse me.. is there a shower where I can wash up?"

The creature looks her up and down, tongue flicking at the air like a snake. "Back of the bunk rooms." he tells her in a hissing tone.

"Thank you." Lorielle tells him before heading back to the room Shir-Si had taken her to.

Other male performers had heard the lizard's response - and none of them corrected the lizard with the fact that there are gender-specific locker rooms off the practice hall for exactly that purpose. As opposed to the showers in the bunk room which are mixed-gender.

Lorielle heads back to the barracks and to her bunk area. Without a second thought, she strips off first her bikini top - revealing her generous, yet firm, bosom with cherry red nipples that are pierced with dangling silver charms each with a pair of diamonds to match the larger piercing in her navel. She steps out of her sandals to then pull down the bottoms of her bikini as well and lay them aside on her bunk. She turns back to the room, now revealing her entire body - from the little strip of hair over her mound which is a darker garnet than her head, to the glistening garnet stone that pierces her clitoris.

Completely unaware of the intense gazes she is getting - she walks through the bunks to the showers in the back - stepping in and turning on the water where half a dozen other performers (all of whom happen to be male) are also showering. A silence comes over the men as Lorielle just walks in amongst them like nothing and starts washing and soaping up her body in front of them. Then as she washes herself, the whispers begin both in the shower, and back in the bunk area.

Just about every pair of eyes in the place is on Lorielle - even the majority of the women. But they had already been given the message - she is not to be touched yet. Not until the show! But the interest and eagerness amongst the performers definitely rises considerably.

It won't take long before stories of Lorielle - both of her dance, and of her shower - start to spread amongst the rest of the performers, raising even more interest in the beautiful Star Faerie.

Everything the Star Faerie does seems to raise attention, but the other performers and crew of the ship are careful to hide their interest, or their intentions. Many have heard stories, true or not, of Faeries' ability to sense feelings or emotions around them. Fortunately for them, the troupe has become well-versed at hiding such things until the time is right. Throughout the rest of the day, her fellow shipmates regard her with courtesy and congeniality, but never excessive friendliness or forwardness. At dinner, they sit with her, share their food, trade stories, never once hinting of their desires.

But the eagerness is there. Quite a few of her bunk-mates were present to get a full, unobstructed view of her naked body. And when she's out of ear-shot, they talk to the others about the sight - her perfect pert breasts, her enticing sex, her perfectly round ass - although that's fairly visible at all times anyway. Word of her grace and flexibility gets around, too, and the beauty of her wings. And most agree that such magnificence is fit only to be tarnished and defiled.

Time passes, and the ship finally drops out of warp, nearing its destination. It makes for the planet's surface, flying into the shade of dusk. Though most of the ship is only waking, the crew has an evening show scheduled, just hours away. After a short descent, the ship touches down.

Racio approaches Lorielle as the crew is offloading equipment, Shir-Si following behind him. "My dear!" he greets her merrily. "I hope you're ready for the show! I've heard talk of your dancing, all very impressed. I know the crowd will adore you."

Lorielle blushes a little when Racio states that he has heard about her dancing, and that the crowd will adore her.

"Thank you, Racio. I DO hope that I don't disappoint you, or them." she will tell him. In addition to the tiny gold bikini she wears, she has added a number of very sheer colored cloths to the waist of the garment. The fabric is not thick enough to hide anything at all, rather it will just float and move around her as she dances - as if to accentuate her own grace and fluidity.

"I'm sure you'll be splendid," Racio assures her. "Now, you'll be starting the second half of the show. I'll let you know when to take your place. In the mean time, I must oversee preparations, excuse me. Come along, Shir-Si." He bows to her, before waddling off towards the bustle of the workers.

Several hours pass. Just after sunset, the show begins with a grand fanfare. Racio greets the sizable crowd boisterously, energizing the spectators before giving way to the acts. A plethora of grand performances unfold - acrobatics and juggling, beast taming and high-wire balancing acts. The crowd cheers and gapes for each one. Even from backstage, Lorielle can see that the audience is composed of a wide array of species, from small, fuzzy things to large aliens covered in stone or scales. Some are more gelatinous than solid, others look like moving plants. An energetic vibe pervades all of them as they enjoy the show. Curiously enough, there don't seem to be any beings Lorielle would think of as children in attendance, though it can be hard to tell. It's also hard to tell male from female for a number of the species in attendance, but there don't seem to be many clearly female spectators, either.

Lorielle takes some time on the planet to practice again - this time having a little more room allows her to add some aerial maneuvers to her dance as well. Wherever she practices though, a lot of the workers seem to stop and watch, only to quickly go back to work the moment she appears to be ending - so that she never catches more than glimpse of anyone watching her.

As she watches the first part of the show, Lorielle admires the skill and beauty of the first acts. Clearly Racio's performers are all seasoned professionals who know their acts. That makes Lorielle a little nervous, given she just got signed to the show. However, she can feel the energy and excitement from the audience, which makes her both anxious yet eager for her own performance. If she thinks at all about the lack of children or women in the audience, it is rather quickly pushed aside -- perhaps this is one of those more male-dominated planets where the women aren't allowed out, or are prohibited from certain activities. It would seem odd that going to a circus would be amongst those - but she's encountered stranger social rules in her travels. Hell - her own people have some rules that other civilizations would think were crazy. Who is she to judge?

Just over an hour into the show, Racio returns to the center podium to address the crowd. "And now, ladies and gentlemen, here she is, your favorite girl! Our own lovely Miss Masque!"

A moment later, Lorielle can see Shir-Si strut onto the stage. She's wearing a black masquerade mask over her eyes and nose, mostly covering her large eyes. A thin black veil covers her chest, shimmering under the spotlight, and a similar sash-like skirt runs from her waist down to her knees. A row of black feathers hangs from the ends of her raven-black hair. She struts onto the stage, holding two large feather fans. Gracefully, she begins to waltz and spin around the stage, waving the fans slowly and gracefully in front of her.

The crowd goes wild as she begins her dance. They hoop and holler, and do several other thing that aren't quite as tasteful. The energy seems to double, then triple, as Shir-Si's dance whips them into an eager frenzy.

As the dance on stage continues, Racio appears behind Lorielle, Arkan in tow. "My dear, there you are. Are you ready? You'll be up next. Arkan will be your partner for this dance. Just stay calm, and do as you practiced. Do give them a good showing, won't you?"

Lorielle watches with surprise, and then interest as Shir-Si begins her dance - the woman had said she was a nurse.. she hadn't said anything about being a performer as well! And even if the crowd is a little crude, Lorielle has to admit that Shir-Si is an amazing dancer. Of course that makes her start to wonder why Racio hired Lorielle.. and even more to the point, that he put her AFTER Shir-Si. She would think that Shir-Si would be the main attraction, and that Lorielle should have been dancing first as a 'warm - up' to the big show.

Her questions and thoughts though are cut off when Racio comes up to her with Arkan. The faerie gives the lion-esque man a smile, then nods at Racio. "I will try.. but I don't know if I can live up to THAT" she says, indicating where Shir-Si is finishing her dance. Only when she looks back does she realize that Shir-Si has 'lost' the veils over her chest and waist - leaving the fans as her only coverage. Lorielle blushes a little as Shir-Si curtseys to the crowd, giving them a little flash of breast, before heading back off the stage, past Lorielle and the two males - and Racio steps out to introduce her and Arkan.
