So this time he let her choose either picking up speed now as up ahead the jungle cleared away to a large opened area with various plants separated by types. Being behind her Slarr had not seen it straight away, recognizing the garden at once for what it was.

Eyes widened, his pace increased when he didn't see Birch this path narrowed too much for him to get another blast at her without elevating himself some before cutting her off again with a blast of flame that created the wall of fire.

Smug that she was not going anywhere he hovered in the sky for a few seconds before loosing altitude to hedge her in between him and the flame.

“Such a hard choice girlie. Get over here now!”

As for Vivien, she didn't even know where she was going in the first place. She tried to approach towards a cave, but ended up blocked off from it, so no luck there.

It felt like a long while as she continue to run. If she keep it up like this, she'll probably end up out of breath from all the running.

However, she soon did notice a split in the trail. Unsure for where either may lead, she quickly made the choice to go to the right path, hoping it'll actually get her back to the campus.

It wasn't the case though, as she instead found an open area up ahead, and from the looks of it, it look to be sorta a garden. She wasn't even sure herself, but if that's the case, maybe there's someone there with a house nearby. That is, she thought. She wasn't able to assure if it's true when a wall of fire sprouted in front of her, leaving herself trapped.

Backing away from the flames, she made a turn towards the chaser, locking eyes with him. She didn't come towards him upon his command, for instead she froze in place, letting loose a scream in hopes of anyone nearby to hopefully hear.

He smirked generating a ball of flame that he tossed up again and again as if it were a ball. “You'll be doing a lot of that.” She did not approach, not that he had expected her to. He did not draw any closer judging her. Was she actually frozen in place or would she bolt through the flames, not that she would get too far in doing so if she chose the later.

The speaker was some sort of humanoid plant. Unblinking eyes had been looking up at the fiendish creature then looked at her a moment later. “Oh … even so, the students are no excuse. Get rid of the flames.”

“But -”

The wall of flame dropped at the same time some sort of plant tangled around one of her ankles to keep her from running straight away. “Now leave us.”

He approached crouching down beside her. “It is rare that anyone comes out this way, so I cannot pass up such an opportunity to feed. Don't be alarmed, I do not consume flesh but there is something else.”
