Background: Aya was born in Austin texas to a failed japanese musician and an american woman who as her father says managed to pick up his pieces during the lowest part of his life. As a child the families favorite bonding activity would be to find songs on the radio and sing along to them. This kind of upbringing gave her a deep appreciation for music and even helped grow the song in her own heart. one she wanted to eventually go out and share in a professional setting. Her father helped teach her guitar while she trained herself to perfect her voice. The results clearly showed in school as she was easily able to draw a crowd when she sang. This lead to a fairly successful social life throughout middle school. When She found a sweetheart in a girl named Catherine. After Highschool had ended Aya and her father had received word saying that her talent had caught the ear of some visiting officials from the prestigious Shokushu academy. The message said that the school was willing to help pay her way through their music program promising an easy head start to a possible music career. She eagerly said yes, the thought of turning down this opportunity never even crossing her mind. This however meant moving away from Catherine. The two agreed to stay in touch and Catherine jokingly told Aya even when she becomes famous "Never forget her first and favorite groupie".
