Post Miria "Nova" Dyranda
“If you need any help, let me know.”

Name: Miria “Nova” Dyranda
Gender: Female
Age: 111 (around 32 in human years)
Species: Holian
Place of Birth: Holion III, just inside the outer territories of the galaxy.
Hair Color: Crimson hair, mid back length.
Eye Color: Ochre, yellow almost brown.
Skin Tone: Light untanned
Pubic Hair: None.

Distinguishing features: 3 earrings in left ear, red makeup around eyes, red markings on her back in different shapes. Eyes are slightly bigger than a human’s, ears also slightly longer and with more pointy ends. Irises are like pools of a swirling vortex of their color.
The red markings would easily pass as tattoos, but they are painted upon certain Holians by some people called Weavers, that have a special Sundr that allows them to do this. Though every symbol can be different, some are awarded as medals of merit, while others are imbued with special magical protections or boons. In Miria's case, they are for her services as a Warkir.

Physical description: Miria has a tall, slender yet very voluptuous body, filled with enough muscle to not take away from her beauty, toned and firm. Her humanoid appearance might let her pass as a regular human female except for the various notorious details her race has.

Their ears and eyesight are developed to perform better than similar races, since they evolved from millennia of being hunted in their home planet by larger creatures despite their natural capabilities.

Proof of those powers, the irises in their eyes appear to swirl around the pupils like a vortex. This motion is relatively calm but while they are in danger, fighting, or using their abilities, it intensifies in speed and brightness.

Her body is also covered with some little scars, all products of her hunting days and service in a war. They have mostly healed well so they don't take away much from her beauty either, but she is also proud of them as memories of good fights.

Height: 182 cm or 6 feet
Weight: 68 kg or 150lbs
Bust: 36E
Waist: 26
Hips: 38

Job/Occupation: Bounty/treasure hunter, patron of many a tavern. Trainer or assistant for some clients.
Orientation: Bisexual but leans heavily on females.

Psychological Profile: Miria is a woman who struggled with her upbringing thanks to the way of life in Holion III. In their society, women outnumber men and, due to their constant life of fighting, are expected to elevate their status through valiant efforts and helping their community. When she was old enough to join their armed forces, she was not the best. But her tenacity drove her to be one of the elite Warkir, tight-knit squadrons who answered to different threats.

As such, Miria is a woman who isn’t afraid of a challenge yet tries to keep a cool mind to do her job. She has a strong will and enjoys teaching and helping others. One could say she is like a motherlike, or big sister-like, figure. Her specialty as a huntress of large game makes her an expert in finding weaknesses and trying to use the environment to her advantage.

Personality: To accompany her alluring looks, Miria is a cheerful person and enjoys talking and flirting with people she fancies. Despite her demeanor, she is also highly intelligent and isn’t afraid to surprise those who think less of her. One could think she is a cool woman from afar, as she can be serious or focused in some situations, but she enjoys her downtime and is constantly trying to help those around her, even if only with words.

Image

Virgin?: No, she was “honored” to have sex with her first Holian man during her time as a huntress. She can be considered sexually active ever since.

Piercing or Tattoos: 1 earring piercing on her right ear, 3 on her left.

Language: Galactic Common, Holion international dialect, and is fluent in other two alien languages.

Likes: Weapons, hunting, learning and teaching, training, order, and fighting as a team. Likes her alcohol, games, finding time and new stuff to relax with. An alien kind of brew, the Far Realm, is her favorite kind of alcohol since it’s strong enough to affect her for a while.

Dislikes: Betrayals, lazy and unorganized people.

Activities: Taking jobs to hunt down mainly dangerous beasts or sometimes criminals that disturb cities or villages along her travels. Training to keep her skills in close combat sharp. She does or assists investigations in difficult areas thanks to her endurance and reliability. Likes to drink alone or with friends and play games with them. She mostly likes to assist others with jobs or help people that need a hand with something. She also plans to find all the best kinds of alcohol brews that can affect her.

Capabilities: The Holian species is formed of individuals who many would call powerful. Their most defining characteristic is their power called Sundr, which manifests differently for each individual to some extent and protects them in some aspects. Some people say it’s an innate form of magic they have.

Superior physical capabilities: As is natural among the Holian race, Miria has a strength superior to other races around their size, along with speed and reflexes. Much of it is thanks to Holion III’s size and part to her Sundr. Her skin is magically made resistant to slashing or piercing damage but remains soft to the touch. She is also resistant to fire, but not other elements.

Plasma Sundr: Miria’s powers enable her to take energy from her surroundings or from herself and produce it in another form, which is mainly plasma. She can bend it to form a shield around her, or fire waves and beams of plasma besides powering or enveloping her weapons with it. Releasing it simply around herself can be notoriously dangerous to others and the surroundings in a short radius around her. Miria has a large inner well of Sundr to use before she has to rely on siphoning the area to fuel it. Not using her Sundr allows her to naturally recharge it.

Fire and lightning Sundr: Simply, a direct variation of her plasma Sundr, Miria can channel it to produce flames or electricity if she focuses enough but is harder for her.

Mental and physical regeneration: Miria’s mind is immune to most mental attacks, like mind control or hypnosis, thanks to how her Sundr was forced to evolve throughout her training years. Most importantly her immune system is highly developed and breaks down foreign substances quite quickly (medicine, drugs, aphrodisiacs and the such have a slightly lowered effect but disappear quickly, and grows immune to them for a time afterwards).

Image

Miscellaneous: She is thinking of undertaking a pupil or making a school to train or teach others about hunting or fighting.

Thanks to her metabolism and immune system, she has grown a real love for alcohol, whether it’s beer, wine, spirits, etc. Since it barely affects her, she has used her ability to win in drinking contests and games, could be remembered for participating in these as well, besides her other usual activities. Drinking to forget is also one of the reasons she enjoys it, but rarely achieves it.

Coming from a matriarchal society with the majority of the population being female, Miria like most, if not all, of the Holians almost never uses a bra, and is perfectly comfortable being topless. When she's alone, on her ship or otherwise, or even in other occasions, she goes topless or with minimal clothing on her torso.

Weapons of choice: Her greatsword Farkr is her favorite weapon, which she uses nimbly and with great effect. It is designed especially for her, allowing her to channel her Sundr through it. But she is also trained in other close combat weapons, hand to hand, and firearms of various kinds; all to assist in her jobs to hunt down targets.

Equipment: Miria’s main piece of equipment besides her greatsword is her black and red Warkir suit, which was given to her when she was admitted to her unit. It helps her to protect her body using her Sundr as a form of shield and is much sturdier than what it would initially appear to be. It comes with a pair of devices that are used to channel her Sundr as jets of plasma, allowing her to have a short-range flight.

Her other suit is a black, skintight suit with helmet that is typically given to women in the Holian Armed Forces. Its main function is to help them focus and channel their Sundr better, while they are still not in full control, and protect their body. Though Miria is an expert in using her powers, it still helps her to fight better using only her Sundr instead of relying in a more physical approach.

She has a small spaceship frigate, big enough to accommodate for long range travels and adjusted with basic fighter requirements. Most of its functions are covered by an AI that aids Miria in maintaining and piloting the ship.

Fighting style: A fair fight is definitely her preferred kind of battle. But she will never ignore a cunning plan and even surprise tactics to catch her opponent off-guard and be efficient with eliminating her enemies. She likes to set up traps and prepare beforehand. Be warned, however, that Miria is a woman whose fighting spirit increases as the battle goes on and as she takes and deals out damage.

Motivation: Survival in this tough galaxy, to perfect her hunting and fighting skills. Help others who can need a hand.
Special attributes:

Weaknesses: Besides her immunity to mental attacks, her other resistances don’t make her immune to other forms of damage. She is a sturdy, durable woman, but she isn’t invincible either. Strong, powerful monsters or creatures can hurt her and though she fights harder as a battle drags on, she would eventually tire out or run out of fuel if her enemy outlives her attacks. With her Sundr depleted, her fighting capabilities lower considerably, though her strength and speed make her a worthy foe still for injured or lesser foes.
To counter that, some adverse effects like paralysis or drugs would allow for a brief window to overpower her, before her body recovers.

Background: Miria “Nova” Dyranda was born in the planet Holion III, a world with a vast range of ecosystems. Though most of its surface are jungles and plains; some arid places balance out the landscapes found there. Her race has a matriarchal society, although men, as they are rare, are protected and taken care of.

When she was a baby, a war broke out with a neighboring alien species called the Hakor, which had rebel Holians among their ranks. While growing as a kid, she was sent to a camp like most other children and had tests and experiments done to her to affect their Sundr. The Holians with the Hakor controlled these aliens because they had psychic powers, and to avoid having their allies turn to their side with every battle they started doing these procedures to children in order to make them immune, as they would eventually grow to be recruits and soldiers.

As a society, the Holians have found honor in battles and the perfection of hunts, tactics and arts. It was not unusual to send the women into training since they were young and to find their best qualities to guide them into a position that would benefit everyone later. Miria was assigned to the hunting packs, despite wanting to help the war effort. The rest of the civilians had to be protected from the dangers of nature and its monsters.

So, she embraced this decision and became an excellent huntress in little time with effort and constant training. Once she had grown in renown she solicited being transferred to the Armed Forces, adding her own commentary that she was trained and meant to more than hunt beasts and serve her people elsewhere. Despite such an unrefined petition, her plea was answered, and she joined the other soldiers.

Her tenacity and willpower to fight despite most odds was quickly noted and her ability to lead others was praised. After a year of war, she was moved to the elite Warkir units, given the nickname of Red Nova. There, she trained under a new mentor called Amedea Fulgr. Amedea was a veteran and had helped develop new tactics and strategies for the Warkir, and Miria soon fell for her. She admired her mentor and before Amedea retired Miria and her had started a relationship that both knew would not last long as the veteran would eventually be moved elsewhere.

Within the Warkir, Miria lived through a few years of war, her unit constantly getting called to different fronts to help the frontlines and push strategical targets. She was loved by her teammates for placing importance in securing their safety along the completion of their goals.

When the native Holians finally won the war, the Warkir units were disbanded and most resources were redirected to support affected settlements and to rebuild what was lost. Miria didn’t find Amedea after the war, so when one of her Warkir friends invited her to venture out into the galaxy to use their hunting skills on new game she accepted.

Several years have passed, and after parting ways Miria had grown to be a bounty huntress of some renown among several sectors of the galaxy. Though she likes to take jobs, hired by civilians or authorities alike, to take down monsters and help settlements, she hasn’t turned down a few contracts to deal with criminals. Some jobs to undertake investigations or assist them have also found their way to her, trusting her abilities to endure elements that would prove dangerous to other races.

Ship/Vehicle:

The FV-6 Fedrich is a small frigate ship, able to be manned by a small crew or a single person AI-assisted. It is a multipurpose vessel, capable of being outfitted with several modules and instruments, as well as intended for long range travel or staying out of docks for a long time. It can hold a wide variety of weapons but is perfect for accommodating a selection of different modules like cargo bays, small machinery and instruments for investigation, etc. It’s nimble enough to fight against other ships around her size and weight class given it’s outfitted with decent firepower but should stay away from larger threats.

It has a gravity converter and stabilizer for the crew to walk and resist maneuvers in its interior and helps moderate her weight in planets with different gravities.

Hello, you can probably guess I'm the one usually playing as Rahs, Elizia or Sylvana around here.

I mentioned I had a new second SFA coming her way and here she is. She is of the same speces as Sydr, but is a slightly older, mature woman and more approachable (at least more friendly-looking) than Sydr.

Hope you like her profile and I'm open to hear any suggestions or any thing I may have missed I should include!
