"Looks to me like those three will be busy for a while." he finally speaks as Etolie stands up from being on all fours.

With the prefect and her two escorts busy, the next task proved easy to do. With no guards to worry about, the walk to the elevator was short and the ride down was an easy matter. Her attention shifted to the key card reader. Focusing on the numbers she turned the card over reviewing it once more. A deep breath. “Here goes.”

That light going out and another flickered on. Green. They were good. Opening the door the room beyond would have been dark had it not been for those adjustments. She could hear machinery. And there it was. With each 'throb' of the things inside her, the room slowly came into focus. Manacles on the walls, beds with security straps by the sides. These restraints might be to immobilize extreme cases … I'm guessing that the students that have break downs or don't take things too well. Students disappear and reappear all the time. I never paid it too much mind.”

Etolie didn't follow the plight of commoners not until it effected her in some way.

“So the vats contain missing students ...” She questioned, unsure by the sounds of it. Her gaze shifted back to the tanks. “Or maybe … no never mind.”

Her mind couldn't quite wrap around the possibility though she witnessed some bizarre things here. Cloned organs? People? Where the returned students clones or was there something else at work here? “Maybe there's some paperwork around, something that tells us what's going on. Do you see any clip boards?”

She looked back and forth shuddering a bit.

"I don't see any, but we should look around anyway."

The search around the room yielded no such files, but her enhanced sight picked out indentations in the floor where filing cabinets once stood, their weight warping the concrete floor ever so slightly. These differences leaped out at her, giving her a terrifyingly precise insight to how long they had been standing here before they had moved.

"Its an interesting facility, to be sure." he mused, the tentacles working over the vats that remained. "But judging by average human sizes, these vats are too small for human use. Perhaps they're used for storing medical samples?"

Etolie discovered where there was once filing cabinets. She considered it for a moment, hard files couldn't be hacked and thus were more secure than if they were someplace in digital format. Maybe someone decided to make the switch anyway or the files where removed to someplace outside this lab, someplace even more secure. She didn't have long to dwell on it before her attention went back to the tanks.

In sci-fi there were all sorts of accelerated growth rates and adult clones but the science as she knew it just copied genetic information. The clone had to mature on it's own, as a separate being. "I would like to collect a little something for my services thus far..." he continued as he slowly worked his way above the ceiling, looking like a shattered hole in her senses from which distorted tentacles and reddish eyes seemed to drip out of. Above she only felt that ache for a moment at the unexpected “sight”. But it was a brief flicker. Then darkness took her as those tendrils slipped out of her severing that connection.

“Uh ...” Even her head was free for the first time in a long time not that she could see much. Her senses were still enhanced but far off from what they had been. She felt a bit cooler too, laying there, stark naked outside of the gel that still coated her.

Etolie was aware of the bed, the terrible thread count of the sheets beneath her despite the softness of the mattress. There was little she could see that had been farther than half a foot away and that was all cat in dark shadows. His voice came at her from the ceiling with his latest question.

“No, not really.” She answered. Since she was trained she didn't work with anyone. “If it's focusing then I have some experience. When I fashion my voodoo dolls there's a lot of focusing done … at least until I figured out how to save a ton of time.”

She only knew four spells, five if she counted her botched summoning spell. One spell was a simple counter to the accursed evil eye she had to deal with. Another her sleep charm though the other two effects, the creation of her dolls and her ability to erase recent memories took a degree of focus and time, the later being used after her sleep spell to give her that abundance of time she needed.

“Summoning takes plenty of focus as does most of the magic I know. If it's similar I think I can manage.” After all she self taught herself how to get rid of the evil eye so how hard could it be?

"Of course. Still..." he looked her over again, her eyes unseeing in the utter darkness. "It may not seem it, but your body has been pushed to the limit. Before we go on, I would like you to rest up a bit. If you were to pass out during this little expedition of ours, it would be quite an unsatisfying outcome for us both, don't you think?"

With that, he lets her rest for a small while, until her stamina recovers.

When she moved her head, he continues where he left off. By now, her heightened senses had returned to a state of almost complete normalcy.

"Instead of focusing on doing something with the magic energy you draw up, close your eyes and mentally visualize yourself drawing upon your magic to cast a spell, then empowering a summoning circle like you did... back then." he explained as he let drop the first tentacles around her body. "Instead of a magic rune, you will be channeling your magic energies to me. Focus your mind on that."

That's when she felt narrow, sucker-tipped tentacles latch onto her arms and neck. In this raw darkness, she hadn't even seen the subtle motions of shadows.

"Do you understand what you must do? Good, please begin." he instructed her.

“That would be bad ...” she admits. Envisioning the sort of fatigue where she passed out somewhere only to be discovered by staff. What would they do with her? She had to suppress a shudder remembering back to when Vera disciplined her. Suffice it to say she would never claim power again as president of the student council, which she had been only in name these past few months.

She rested and when she did move at last she felt only her ordinary senses. Her skin had dried, she felt the coolness against her. Nipples ached, inflamed by the cold she felt.

“Ooh!” She was surprised by those movements and the feel of those tendrils taking hold not noticing their movements in the darkness or feeling the subtle shift in the air. As he explained things made a bit of sense. She closed her eyes, not that she could see much. It did allow her to visualize easier. As far as focusing, the summoning spell was best suited for it. There was more to examine. She could see herself forming the symbols, checking them against her books, setting out the candles and projecting those energies into the circle as she recited the incantation. She had found that she could have used most anything for the incantation. Words were just a means of projecting and sculpting that power.

“Yes, I understand.”

Instead of a summoning circle she envisioned casting this energy upwards towards the ceiling where she knew him to be. Her chest rose and fell, her heartbeat remained even. It took time to build up to it but she did what she normally would do in tearing opened a rift. Never mind she had only opened one seeing how that he never emerged from one but rather seemed attracted to what she had been doing Etolie had no way of knowing if her changes were successful or not.

She was acting on the assumption that they were. Her focus was to fast at first, though she adjusted the flow so that it was a steady stream. Her lips worked as if speaking or chanting though she wasn't saying a thing. Something felt a bit different as she went on not that she could explain it. It felt as if something was above her, an essence that she projected. Etolie had no clue as to how to do anything with this, if she could at all. This had been an area where she never explored before and she had no idea what was possible. Nor was she confident to experiment with this essence.

“I don't know how long I can maintain this,” she rarely used her spells and never for long unless you counted the voodoo dolls she made but those didn't cause her to maintain any magical connection she was aware of.

A trio of slick tentacles closed in on her hands, their tips exploring her fingers as she felt her magic energies being drained. The image of light being bent into a black hole came to mind as more of those things moved in the dark, drawing out her magical energies as she summoned them up.

"This is good. Relax, you're doing great."

More of those things clustered around her, moving carefully so as not to interrupt her thoughts. In the still dark, this was a much easier matter to do so as long as he kept them quiet. He did let out a sigh of pleasure as he basked in the mana-rich streams, his biological and artificial sensory organs taking in this phenomena as one would take in the view of a sunrise.

"I believe you're ready to take this training up a notch." he finally said. "Now, I'm going to tie you up. Your task is to keep your focus even in a scenario where you've been captured."

And with that, he picked up the restraining straps on the bed and looped them around her ankles, positioning the padded material and using the straps to bind her properly to ensure that there was no chafing. Her wrists were similarly bound with a deft pair of tentacles picking out the padded straps on the bed on the opposite end. A few experimental tugs were all that it took to make sure that she was completely bound, her nude body on full display for him.

"Please continue." he prompted her.
