Rumors of magic. (Janita)
*A story had been circulating among the girls of the school. It seemed that one of the History professors had been spending more and more time in the old library annex, only emerging to eat and ask questions....questions about ancient history, mythology, and....magic. Most girls giggled at the ridiculous story and blew it off as another elderly man losing his marbles. But some among the student body knew the truth, magic was real and just as much a part of life as anything else. Perhaps this old man knew something after all....*

She had only been in the school for a few weeks, and it had been full of nightmares. First, she had been accosted in by...something. She couldn't recall, since she had used a spell to cause herself to forget. If she had resorted to that, however, she knew that it must have been terrible. Then, in rapid succession, there had been a magical mishap and humiliation in the school's basement, the...very strange "cheerleading" scene in the gym, and her oral rape by a demon!
There was something terrible and dangerous about this place, and Janita knew she needed powerful magic to protect herself. This strange professor just might be what she needed.
Janita found her way to the part of the library where she believed the professor to be. She walked slowly through the stacks, looking at the strange books. "Hello?" she called out to the dusty, empty room.

*The hallway behind the door she had opened was relatively clean given the state of the windows, grime caked as they were. The large metal door swung open nearly without noise, her call echoing slightly down the long door-lined corridor. From an open door halfway along its length came the sounds of clinking china, followed by shuffling and an elderly male voice.*
"Hello? Someone there? You'll have to either speak louder or come closer, I'm a bit hard of hearing."
*The little dust left on the floor showed signs of heavy recent use. Perhaps the rumors were true, and the old professor had been living in this disused old building.*

Janita crept forward hesitantly, finding to her surprise that she was actually quite nervous. Her usual bold attitude floundered with thoughts of a man who may know secrets that could help her protect herself in this terrible, terrifying place.
She approached where she heard the voice coming from, making sure to adjust her clothing, covering herself as much as possible. She had found some old men to be less than polite regarding her appearance.

*As the girl turned the corner of the doorway into the room, she saw her fears for the old man looking at her were unfounded. The elderly gentleman appeared to be blind, large sunglasses covering the top half of his weathered and honey brown face. The thin white cane leaning against a nearby chair confirmed the theory. The apparently blind man seemed to be of Greek decent, his accent very faint, his skin the color and texture of old teak. He was bald save for a fringe of unruly hair, the color and appearance of cotton. Similar cottony tufts stuck out of his ears, giving him a friendly, though comical look. He was seated at a small table, a pot of tea and a cup sitting in front of him, steam rising from both. The room appeared to be a small kitchenette, with microwave and range oven against one wall, a refrigerator against the other. This room seemed much cleaner than the hallway outside, the surfaces polished to a shine.*
"Hello? Someone there? Harley, Pierrot? You boys playing tricks on me again?"
*The sunglasses swung towards the vague direction of the door, the old man's white gloved hand fumbling for his cane clumsily.*

Janita was disappointed when she saw the aged and blind professor. THIS is who she had come to see? He looked ridiculous! Still, she supposed she had better introduce herself, at least.
"Uh, no, my name is actually Janita, sir. I'm looking for some information about..." she dropped her voice to a guarded whisper, "magic? I was hoping you could help me."
She moved closer, making sure to stay out of touch range. She didn't trust this strange man.

"Oh, hello there young lady. Magic you say? Not much call for that sort of thing. We do, however, have a few old, beaten up books in the annex that might be what you're looking for. Just to be clear, you don't mean stage magic, eh?"
*The blind old man smiled widely in the girl's general direction, speaking softly in his faintly accented voice. He finally found his cane and rose shakily from the chair, cane tap-tapping as he shuffled around the table.*
