Scream (Elise)
The demon’s eyes fluttered open, the ethereal neon glow from his eyes radiating in the darkness like beacons of light. His broad chest heaved heavily with each labored breath he took. His pale hand rose to his face, his long slender fingers wrapping around the mask that he had crafted himself. Cold flesh came into contact with the icy metal of the mask and pressed it against the hardened features of his face.
Feeeeeeeed
There were many times throughout the demon’s treacherous life where he simply wanted to ram a sword through his stomach to silence the wretched beast that dwelled there. He slapped his abdomen hard with his free hand as he shifted on the mossy floor of the underground cave he had come to inhabit since his arrival to this planet. It wasn’t a slap meant to harm the demon that lived inside of him, merely a reminder for it to shut the fuck up. He painfully pulled himself into a sitting position, his large crafted wings scraping against the moss and rock rather loudly sending a booming echo through the vastness of his lair. A sharp pain plummeted through the demon at an alarming rate, his hands flew to his head, long nails digging into his scalp whilst he waited for the pain to subside. “Nngh! Damn this fucking realm.” He screamed. After what seemed like hours to the demon, the pain finally ceased to an unpleasant throb in his head and stomach. “The bastard was right, I have waited too long.” He said with a grimace, his hands sliding from his head, to the ground in order to push himself up. Once on his feet he seemed to melt with the shadows around him, quickly transferring him to the concealed entrance to his new home, which was quite bluntly a hole in the ground that was surrounded by tree’s and brush, leading down to a broad passageway, that twisted and turned into a maze of underground rocky tunnels. The walls were adorned with alabaster and obsidian, and years of dripping water that formed the deadly columns of stalagmites and stalactites.
The demon clawed his way out of the hole in the ground, coming to a seat on the edge of the entrance as his eyes surveyed the sky. The sun was beginning to set, sending an array of wondrous pastels of orange, pink, and blue across the dimming skies. He’d have to hurry if he hoped to find any prey still stirring about before the day’s end. His eyes still searched the darkening skies, he would have to save was bit of energy that still remained in order to subdue his prey, he would walk. His body dissipated into the creeping darkness that fell over the island as the sun set. This made travel much faster, like jumping yards ahead without the slightest of effort by becoming a shadow himself. He could feel their energy, the thousands of girls that were relaxing in the dorms after their frivolous matters of education, stressing about minute aspects of their pitiful lives. Yes, he felt them all, but one he felt was close by, still outside when the sun was giving it’s last goodbyes to the day before surrendering to the glorious night. His shapeless form whipped through the seemingly endless forests, the bright fluorescent green leaves now a rich, dark green due to the absence of light. He’d not yet had the time to fully explore the island and hadn’t the slightest idea of where he was going, he was only following the sweet scent and energy one rather unfortunate mortal girl. Searing hunger surged through the demons belly, only motivating him to leap faster in his shapeless form. A powerful lurch broke the demon free of the forest tree’s, his body materializing in mid air and landing on coarse gravel and dirt, with a loud thud. The demon rose from his knees, engulfed in a cloud of powder and sand that was stirred by his rude landing, his eyes scanning the area for the girl he sought.
