Hello. I'm kinda new here and had an idea for a character, but wasn't entirely sure if it's allowed, so I'll just post it and see what kind of responses I get. Maybe people with a slightly longer history can tell me if I'm being silly or not.

A twitchy alien race who wanted to do experiments in genetic engineering on humans but didn't have the patience to go through the proper channels decided to cheat. They swung by the planet Earth and, when nobody was looking, kidnapped a teenage boy to start their tests on. Finding Earth to be an easy target, they assumed that the planet where the best stock of humans was would also be an easy target, and flew their way to the planet where the Shokushu Campus is.

Shortly after landing, they were disintegrated to an alien by NICE Labs for violating the treaties and their ship was claimed for study. Inside, a female technician from the Labs found the kidnapped human from earth, who now had a highly unstable genetic code thanks to the alien's meddling. On skin contact, the teen picked up a number of traits from the tech, his entire genome rewritten to suddenly be a younger, teenage version of the scientist, from skin tone to gender.

It was determined that the 'girl' couldn't be returned to Earth with how much she'd already experienced. However, after making a few efforts to stabilize the unsteady genome, it was decided that the now female human could be added to the student body, especially for the purposes of observing the physical and mental ramifications of being at this school for such a person. The councilor just tell all the students that the new girl is a compulsive liar... and it's not hard for most to believe, since Kristin tries to convince people she used to be a boy.

Her genetic code still remains somewhat odd, altering by small amounts during intense or protracted contact, only to return to the current 'base' state when left alone or rendered unconscious. Though she doesn't realize it, several cosmetic traits (her hair and eye color, height, and build) will alter within limits to match the average of those around her. At the moment, though, she's been stabilized too much to gain certain feathers. Her gender was carefully locked in place by the technicians before introducing her to the student body, and there are not yet reports of her gaining any cosmetic features from monsters... but then, she also hasn't had the misfortune of running into one yet.

Wow, now THIS is unique! I've never thought about this. But maybe you should actually post the traits? Just check out other people's files and you'll see what I mean.

Psychological Profile: Confused and uncertain. NICE Labs went ahead and provided an entire wardrobe of clothes and a number of modified pictures from Earth showing Kristin as a girl. While she’s only been on the campus a week or so, she’s already concerned that she might just be crazy, since she’s in a girl’s body, nobody believes she was ever a boy, and even her own pictures show something opposed to her memories. This, too, is something the techies over at the Labs get to watch with enjoyment, as they’ve laced her entire stock of clothes with devices to analyze the unique subject.
Personality: On occasion, when either alone or drunk, Kristin’s normal personality is more likely to come out, because there’s nothing to remind her of how weird her life is. In those situations, she’s a light-hearted, easy-going person with a dry sense of humor and a compulsion to make fun of anyone and anything.
Virgin? For the moment, at least.

Likes: Chemistry. A lot. Also booze since she got transformed, and has taken to reacting chemical compounds to remove the denatonium from the ethanol stocks in the school’s labs.
Activities: Few. She mostly keeps to herself because of her unusual state, though she’s considered joining the track and field team again, as it was something she did back on Earth.
