Mayhem By Moonlight (for Sofia)
It was a comfortably warm night that eve, wind gently blowing through the trees and creating a soft rustling noise that accentuated the nighttime beauty of the paradise island that housed Shokushu Campus. Grass danced around her at the breeze, the tree looming over her not broad enough to keep the moonlight from highlighting her regal and beautiful form.
It was a gorgeous night, stars brilliantly lighting up the sky in an amazing mosaic centered by a full and brilliant moon. The only sound was the wind around her and the rustling plants; most of the students had turned in for bed, and those remaining were well out of hearing range. With the broad grassy field around her, with the dorm buildings framing the right and the long line of trees on the left, the slope before her was like an amphitheater just for her. She wasn't sure on the acoustics, she imagined the wind would carry the beautiful music she would create across the dancing trees and out onto the glittering ocean.
Here, she could join the night wind and moonlight with beautiful music...
What she didn't know was something was lurking nearby, something had been watching her for days. It had been several past since she had arrived, and ever since it caught sight of the beautiful and majestic woman it followed her curiously. But for the moment, it merely waited for her to begin...

"Mmm...mmm..mm..." Sofia melodically hums, finding some harmony in the midnight breeze. The clearing was like a stage and the bright moon was like the spotlight, or so Sofia wanted to think. She runs her fingers through the polished wood, she envisioned the trees as being the audience, eager to hear her play. Her nightgown, she wished it to be a magnificent flowing gown.
She inhales deeply and lays the bow on the eager strings. Her violin seems to tremble in anticipation and excitement, Sofia hasn't played since she has arrived on this island.
"Mmmm...." she hums a note and she follows it with a similar note on her violin.

beauty in the moonlight
Her beautiful voice carried into the air, drifting off into the night. Soon after it, her violin began out to sing out lowly as the bow slid across it, matching her voice perfectly. She heard the trees rustle about her again, her audience murmuring as it anticipated the rest to follow.
It did indeed. Deep in the bushes, low to the ground in the wall of trees, it was sliding into position. It was curious now, curious... and delighted. This is what it was anticipating! This was an expression of her soul! A beautiful pearl tossed into the night sky... and it would catch it. Catch it, and play with it... and her. Grinning broadly, it waited and watched, drawing ever closer, out of sight...

With each note, Sofia lost herself further in the music. She might as well be on stage, surrounded by an eager audience. She lightly steps to the notes, twirling around to the music, as if she was dancing with her violin.
Completely enthralled with her own music, Sofia grew dangerously oblivious to her surroundings. She dances through the clearing without a care in the world.

approaching crescendo...
She spun, pirouetted, and danced in the grassy clearing, the gentle breeze helping her song prance and flow through the night. The crowd rustled and oohed with the flow of the evening wind, and she spun about as she played, ecstasy and joy making her heart pound and her soul sing!
As she wandered and spun about, she approached the treeline, the finale approaching as her song rose higher and higher. It waited, its own body moving with the flow, tensing in anticipation of the final moment, watching her sway as she ended up closer to the forest with every spin due to the slope of the field...

Sofia reaches the climax of the song. Its melody echoes through the dark and empty, or so she thought, forest. She draws out the last note, enjoying every second of the music.
Sofia giggles, a somewhat uncharacteristic action for her. With her back towards the forest, she stares up at the moon. Huge, round and full, it's almost hypnotizing.
"Pretty..." she whispers, "... wish he can see this with me." She stares at her violin sadly, "... wish he could've heard me or danced with me."

a fan
The final echoes of the song resonate and dance through the air, fading from her ears. For a few long moments, everything was peaceful and still, the moon a shining and mysterious light in the sky above her.
And then, she hears clapping. It was slow and deliberate, but seemed loud and strong as well! Above her, a young man was sitting on a tree limb, legs dangling towards the ground as he applauded her music! But what was a young man, about her age, doing on this island? She couldn't get a great look at him because of the shadow of the tree, but he was wearing a white shirt and jeans... and for a moment, she swore something was -writhing- above him deeper within the tree. But that must have been her imagination, right?
Grinning, he makes no move to reveal himself further or hop down, but seems well-impressed with her playing. A moment later, he speaks in a light and friendly tone. "Very good! Very good! I haven't heard music that beautiful since... ever!"

Sofia jumps back, startled. She thought she was alone. She steps back and keeps an eye on the young man. With her violin bow out in front of her, she stood in some semblance of a fencing stance.
"How long have you been there?" Her voice was sharp and the young man can definitely sense some anger in her tone, "I don't like being watch without permission.
She narrows her eyes to get a good look of him, but the shadow of the leaves obscure his face to her. "Come down here!" Sofia demanded rather sternly.

With a loud chuckle, she sees the person lean forwards a little, grinning down at her. She still can't see much, but the grin he had on his face was irritating...
"Since you started, really. I saw no reason to move... you came into my sleeping spot, why should I have to be the one to do as they're told?" He sighed a little at her demand, but then pushed himself off the branch and hopped down!
He landed easily on the balls of his feet, knees bent at the impact and arms spread in a 'Y' stance before he steps forwards a touch to stand easier. He's a young man, probably about nineteen or so, with light blonde hair and hazel eyes. He's short and slender, looking a bit wiry not nowhere near an athlete... or physically imposing to her in any real way. His dress seems casual, just a white shirt and a pair of slacks fraying a bit around the ankles.
He puts his hands in his pockets, smiling from ear to ear at her, though his eyes move to the held out bow with some curiosity. "Er, going to run me through with that there? Watch it, you could hurt someone..." He seemed grossly amused, like her anger was some sort of game to him.
In truth, it was... this irritation and anger was cute to the wily monster... much more fun to watch than blatant fear and panic. For now, that is... {...I wonder how long this composure of hers will last? In the face of fear, or something more... pleasant.}

(( I guess we'll have to find out, hrm? ))
"Sleeping? Out here?" She raises her bow and points it at him threateningly as if it was a fencing foil, "how come I don't believe you."
She sets the violin on the grass but keeps the bow up. "Well, though I know I am not holding a rapier, I'm making sure you stay where you are."
She narrows her eyes at him. Suddenly a soft breeze flows through the clearing, causing her pearl white night gown to flutter about. "What do you want from me?" Her French-accented voice becomes increasingly stern and demanding.

hehehehe... ;)
He chuckles a little, raising his hands as if he was held hostage. "Sleeping out here. What, it's a wonderful night for playing music, but not for taking a midnight nap?" He looks a little hurt, lowering his chin a bit and putting a hand slowly to his chest. "And really. What makes you think I want anything from you? "
His vulnerable look suddenly vanishes as quickly as it appeared, the young man laughing as he takes a step back. He moves further out of range of the bow, lowering his hands as he grins. "Well, you'd be right I suppose!" He steps to the side a bit, turning his body and beginning to trace a large circle around the proud girl, smiling broadly at her and practically skipping as he walked.
"Well, I want to get to know you better! I mean, it's not often that such a pretty and interesting young woman plays a beautiful song to me. Why don't we start with a name?" His eyes didn't miss the fluttering of the gown, and he spent a long moment to appreciate the curves hidden under the white garments, an action quite obvious to her. The breeze brought it a slight chill that was felt through the thin garments, giving the young woman goosebumps... or maybe that was just from the appearance of this strange man.

Sofia relaxes her stance and wraps her arms around herself when she feels a sudden chill. Her night gown did nothing to protect her. She wore silky pearl dress that was being held up by thin straps. She wore panties, but no bra. She went to the clearing compulsively and brought nothing but her violin. She crosses her arms, afraid that the cold wind might cause her nipples to poke through her dress.
"Before I start with a name," Sofia says looking obviously quite miffed, "what business does a boy like you have in an all-girls' school?"
Sofia swallows hard, she felt an uneasy feeling from the man. The air around them feels unnaturally cold compared to how the rest of the night was. The bow drops from her hand, but she didn't dare bend down and pick it up.

cornering prey
He was smiling broadly at her bout out shyness, obviously admiring her curves and beauty through that white dress. "Me? I'm visiting. I have family here."
His eyes locked onto hers, staring intently. He caught the sight of the bow toppling, and his circling stopped as he slowly started to approach. If she wanted to maintain distance, she'd have to back up... and in doing so manipulating her, pushing her back towards the tree while she was focused on him...

His eyes was entrancing, Sofia couldn't look away. She felt a knot in her stomach. She's nervous. She's scared. She doesn't know what to do.
She didn't dare touch the bow. If she looks away for a moment, she thought to herself, what knows what he would do. She continues to back up away from him, hoping and praying for a chance to escape.
"Oof..." Sofia backs up into a tree. She swallows nervously, "I...I don't believe you..."

He chuckles, stepping forwards as she backs up into the tree, then stopping. He puts his hands in his pockets, grinning at her obvious discomfort. "Heh... are you seriously that nervous? A brave girl like you taking this kinda flak from some twerp like me?" He was prodding at her sense of pride, trying to bring it to the front.
"Well, anyway! You played really well. Marvelous and beautiful. You, look quite good too." He tilts his head and grins broadly as he takes in her shape from a much closer vantage point. "Cute and awe-inspiring. But a little bit scary! With an expression like that you could scare someone off..." He admonishes her, his tone teasing.
