Pixies, unfortunately for Gwen, were not the only things on this island that did not understand her need for sleep or studying. Truly, she was unfortunate to have ended up on this island, for she would not be escaping again. She did not notice, but no one was nearby at the moment, and most probably, nobody would for quite awhile, at this time of day. At least, Antipode hadn't seen anyone in awhile, Gwen was the first. He watched her for awhile, with curiosity. When she began playing the music, he found himself quite pleased, and not wishing to interrupt right away... why not listen to some nice music first, before what was to come?
Then, the string broke. Doubly unfortunate for her, wasn't it? Not only did it mean her violin was damaged, but it also meant that the music which had given her a reprieve had ended as well. Oh, well. In one way, and perhaps one way only, she was fortunate. Antipode was not quite as ferocious as other monsters, and was not actually sadistic in the least. In fact, he might even give her some help, suggestions, before the end. He was just that good hearted a guy... or monster.... or eaons-old alien from beyond the stars. Take your pick.
The beautiful redhead would, while she was mumbling, perhaps hear or notice something wrong. However, she wouldn't notice the approaching tentacles themselves until one of them was already around her. She would feel it, a large tentacle, wrapping around her waist before she could do anything about it. And just like that, she would be trapped, whether she knew it or not. He did not do more quite yet, simply tightened the grip around her just enough that she could not escape. Then several more tentacles approached, moving around her in a sort of circle. Since it was daylight, she would be able to see them... and hopefully now how little chance there was for escape.
Then, she would hear, inside her head, a voice. A calm one, too, with no hint of malice or sadistic pleasure. It was not a real voice, coming from any of her senses, but instead like a strange thought that she would know is not hers, and was coming from... whatever this thing was.
Good day. I'm Antipode. You play music very well. Are you new here? Hmm?[/i]
