Dawn felt a bit ackward suddenly from reading the book. As though she is being pulled INTO the book. No wait that can't be it can it? How can that happen? There is no way that can happen! Dawn quickly stops reading for the moment and looks around trying to see if her senses were right after all.

"What the heck? There is no way this kind of stuff actually happens." Dawn thought out loud, "Then again, things I get from my flash memories doesn't actually happen either. Magic like this though? I thought i only happened in...books?"

The book yearned to be read, to be finished. The Phantom of Truth was a horrible being. It (for no one could say if it was man or woman, and indeed, it seem not very human-like) wore a strange mask that moved and shifted as though faces were in it. She would learn that those faces were the lost souls of the victims of the King in Yellow, the faces of Yhtill, the faces to come. When asked to remove it, it stated that it wore no mask...the mask was it's face! The Phantom of Truth was seized by the court and tortured to death. All they got from him was that he was the herald of The King in Yellow. Then the reflection returned to the Lake of Hali, but it was not of Yhtill itself, it was of horrible Lost Carcosa, the terrible and ancient city of the alien god Hastur. The King in Yellow rose from the Lake of Hali and turned Yhtill into Lost Carcosa, twisting the people into horrible creatures, twisted things that defied the natural order of physics and biology. The city itself was terrible, and the play ended with the members of the court in horror of their assured doom. The book reveled to her horrible truths that attacked her sanity. She now had a pervading sense of terror and doom all about her, like The King in Yellow would come to get her.

This is what her sense was blaring about, something was comming after her and it was too late for her to react. panick set it, it was the first time this has happened to her. Dawn keeps on trying to keep her mind in check, her senses are all that she can relay on by now. She was able to stay keep her mind in check, but the panick keeps on comming, unrelenting. "Crap...crap it is too late...i should have known something was wrong...my instincts have always been right....why oh why didn't i realize it until now? What can i do? agh!"

The book was cursed, the play itself was horrible. But nothing happened, not at all during he night, but her dreams were restless. They were filled with alien skies and constilations not of Earth, and a great red moon like the one in the play. And everywhere the horrible Yellow Sign. When she awoke, she felt rested, but unwell. Somehow everything seemed a shade darker, shadows seemed long, and the sense of dread did not leave her.

Stacked on top of her sense of dread, that she had figured gotten from reading the werid book, her senses are still warning her that something was going to come. However by now she already knows something is very wrong, but really can't put her finger on it. Again her senses now have become more of a burden then of any help. "Damn it my head is hurting from all of this warning crap. What does it want to tell me? It feels like I am living in a bad dream...or something else?"

The librarian was the one that recommended the book to her. Could he be trusted? Did he know about what it could do? The King in Yellow...just looking at that horrible Yellow Sign filled her with terror, because she now knew of the horror it beheld and foretold of. What could she do now?

Dawn had or really can't do anything, she had to get the book back to where it was from. That was the only thing she can think of, "Damn that Libarian, i knew something was amiss. There arn't real males on this place, other then Mr. Niceman and Mr. Stormbringer." Dawn tries to keep her feelings in check, as much as she can before rushing back to the Libary to return the book, by now she knows he probably knows what is going to happen to her upon reading it. He had to pay for this.

The library was empty aside from the lone male librarian who was polishing tables. He saw her coming and smiled warmly, standing up. "Did you enjoy your books?" He asked innocently enough.

Dawn growled angrly, with her warnings blaring in her head she didn't care, she was just TOO angry to hear what her senses were telling her,

"You SON OF A BITCH! What the hell did you make me read?!"

He smirked slowly, pulling out a chain around his neck from his shirt. On the end of it, glowing softly was that hideious rune. "Tell me girl...have you seen the Yellow Sign?"

"That...that sign...it's the same on the book! That damn thing was you all along?"

Dawn put two and two together, before realizing that she has been tricked into reading the damn thing. The book seem like if it was the guy's history, of what he did, but how would that give her so much problems? Why is her senses going nuts? What exactly is his goal?

"What the hell do you want? What is your goal in all of this? I dought it is just to reading a simple book."

He laughed out. "Why? Because I'm starting a live performance of The King in Yellow...right here in Shokushu..." He smirked at her. "And I have the perfect part for you..." From what she read, a live performance would destroy Shokushu and the entire island.

"What the hell are you saying? You think I will let that happen? As much as i love to see this place destoried, i can't let it happen with my friends on the line." Dawn nodded before trying to strike whoever this person was, she has to stop it before something bad happens to everyone, including herself.

"There is no stopping the play. It has been set in motion, the First Act is already playing...once the dreaded Second Act begins, Shokushu will be doomed." He smirked. "Your part has been chosen, you will play it whether or not you chose to embrace it. If you fight it, your part will destroy you..." He looked at her. "You read it...you know the doom that will befall Shokushu...your doom will find you if you reject your part." He laughed madly. "Join the play, I could use your talent. Your part requires your intelligence to use the magic involved...real magic."

"There is no such thing, you think I'm really that stupid? that the campus would let the whole place go up in smoke because some crazy idoit wants to do a play? Your as dumb as the monsters get on this place." Dawn said very angered and throws the big at the Libarian. "Take that back and shove it up your ass before i do it for you!"
