Josephine "Josie" Van Ryan (Slightly Updated Version)
Hey everybody, decided to bring Josie back, at least for now. We'll if I can keep her around this time. Hopefully, I'll have enough time online to keep her here. If not, she may end up, 'graduating' permanently this time. Might Add her to the ADD ranks sometime in the future...

Student Bio/Profile
Name: Josephine Van Ryan Gender: Female DOB: 7/10/1983 Age: 24 Place of Birth: Detroit, MI Nationality: American Hair Color: Purple (and yes, it’s natural) Eye Color: Brown Ethnicity: Caucasian Skin Tone: Fair Pubic Hair: No Distinguishing features: None, apart from the tats Height: approx 5 ft, 5in Weight: Classified Bust: 38 D Waist: 24 Hips: 33 Personality/Psychological Profile: Josephine is like Sondra in a lot of ways: Friendly towards others, enjoys keeping herself active most of the time, likes to have a good time, ect. She’s not quite as fearless as her sister, though, preferring to flight over fight when danger threatens, unless someone else is in danger as well. Josephine would try to defend them the best she can, despite her own fear. Josie can be a a little emotional at times, especially when family is being mentioned. She believes strongly in the value of family and sisterhood, and this extends to those she becomes close to at Shokushu. Virgin? No Piercing or Tattoos: Both ears pierced; Three Celtic-looking tats, one on each arm and one around her naval Language: English Likes: Her sister Sondra, music of all kinds, art, sex, keeping fit and active, ect… Activities: Running, working out in the gym, hanging out with Sondra, swimming, ect… Magic? No
History/Background: Josephine Van Ryan (or Josie for short) shares many characteristics of her fraternal twin sister Sondra (them being twins, they would obviously have a lot in common). She is very kind and generous towards others and is always ready to help those in need.
The Van Ryan house was not a very pleasant place to live in. Patricia Van Ryan was alright. There weren’t a whole lot of rules in the house. She pretty much let the kids do whatever they wanted to, as long as they didn’t break any laws in the process. It was Timothy Van Ryan Senior that was the problem. Timothy Van Ryan Senior was not a very good father. His daily activities at home included beating his wife and kids, drinking a whole case of beer while watching sports on T.V. (if your idea of watching sports includes yelling at the screen ever five seconds), beating the wife and kids some more, sitting on the porch swing and smoking pot, sexually abusing the kids, sitting on the living room couch and drinking a whole bottle of rum…I think you get the idea.
Not long after Sondra had ‘left the family’, as her father had put it, Josephine’s siblings had started to get rather suspicious. Her cat Caesar hadn’t gone with her, and she hadn’t come back for him. Everyone in the house knew that Sondra had loved the cat too much to just leave him behind like that. It was generally agreed that if she had left Caesar behind, then she hadn’t left of her own free will. They all quickly decided to pack their things, say good-bye to their mother, take the cat and leave the house before anything could happen to them too. Josephine decided to stay, though. It was against her better judgment, but, she stayed anyway, because, as she had put it, ‘someone has to take care of mom’.
One cold and windy December morning, Josephine drove home from a party that was held at her best friend Christine’s house. From the moment Josephine entered the dark, silent house, she knew that something wasn’t quite right. It was the strange, eerie, foreboding silence you get before something really bad happens to you. And something really bad did happen to her. Walking down the hallway she saw that her mother’s door was open, and when she walked into the almost pitch dark room, she heard a sound coming from the bed. It was a sound that was made quite often in the Van Ryan house. It was the muffled sound of someone trying to speak with something covering their mouth.
Carefully making her way over to the bed, Josephine could just barely make out the nude figure of her mom, who was tied very firmly to the bed. Taking the gag off her mom’s mouth, Josephine was about to say something when her mother shouted at her, saying, “Get out now! It’s a--” Josephine didn’t get to hear the rest of the sentence, because at that point someone had hit her very hard on the back of her head with something very heavy and knocked her out cold. When Josephine had regained consciousness, she noticed two things. One was that she was bound and gagged on a plane, somewhere that she had not hitherto associated with being tied up, except possibly in a hostage situation. The other thing she noticed was that in the plane with her were some very unpleasant-looking men in white jackets.
This did not bode well with her. Being tied up and surrounded by any number of very unpleasant-looking men in white jackets was not a good sign, no matter which way you looked at it. Upon eaves dropping on a conversation between a few of the men, she heard the words ‘Shokushu Island is straight ahead’. Josephine’s grasp of foreign languages was shaky at best. She had picked up a few words here and there, and ‘Shokushu’ was one of them.
Shokushu…Shokushu…well, some old man had once told me that ‘Shokushu’ was Japanese for ‘tentacle’…
Josephine trembled with fear as the plane started to descend...
Two years later:
Josephine has come and gone from the island a good few times. This is nothing new on Shokushu Island, where students tend to disappear on a rather disturbingly regular basis. Many students who have mysteriously vanished from their beds at night never return at all, creating a widespread flow of panic, paranoia, rumors, and speculation among their fellow classmates. For those students who have returned from their long, unexplained absences, it is fairly common for them to have little or no memory of where they had been, how long they had been gone, or what had transpired between the time of their disappearance and the time of their return.
At least these students are able to remember everything that has happened during their time on the island prior to their inexplicable disappearance. Josephine remembers none of it. Every experience she ever had...every friend she ever made...all of it is gone completely from her mind, save for a few fragmented images and disjointed dreams. Trying to form a clear image of anything that has happened since her arrival to Shokushu Island is like trying to put together a jig-saw puzzle with most of the pieces missing.
Josie remembers seeing her poor, naked mother tied to her bed and the excruciating pain of being hit in the head very hard with something very heavy, and then Josephine's world had gone black as the hard marble floor rose up to greet her...And then nothing.
Will this poor woman ever be cured of her amnesia, or will she live out the rest of her days searching in vain for all those missing puzzle pieces?
Tune in to find out...

"It's a pleasure to meet you, as well, cutie," I replied with a grin as I looked the pretty, blue-haired girl up and down.
Mmm...wouldn't mind getting this sweet little thing a little better...
Then it hit me. "Sondra? She's here? Can you take me to her? I'm still a little lost, and I could use a little help finding my way around."
OOC: Yep! I hope I have enough online time to keep her around for good.

And what's your name, cutie pie?" ((I shall endeavor to try. We'll see how things go, time-wise. In the meantime, I gotta see where I should have Josie make her grand re-entrance. Oh, speaking of Sondra, I sent a PM to your Vanessa character under my Sondra acct about a thread in the commons. Check it out when you get the chance.))

Sable wrote: *thinks to her self* "if this girl any thing like her sister she should be fun to play with." I'm sure you'll find out soon enough, my dear. I might have her join in on the little sex party going on in room 300. And speaking of parties, I sent your Kim character a PM under my Sondra acct to let you know about the party going on in Jennifer Chantel's (sp?) room. I know Kimmy's big on video games, and Jen's got just about every current game console known to man in that room, so I'm sure she'll have a herself a ball with that...and of course there's plenty of sexy young ladies there for Kimmy and Sable to...ah... 'make friends with'.

Aegir wrote: Welcome back to the island. Thanks Aegir, it's great to bring Josie back on the boards again. It might be a bit of a challenge to keep her on with all the threads I have going with my other characters, but I guess time will tell on that one. As with Dendrite, I shall look forward to role-playing with you sometime in the future, once I get through with some of my other threads.

There's no rush, Airi, and yeah, I'd like to have Vanessa join. I'm trying to get as many of my roomies in the thread as I can, though there's a few of 'em that I haven't seen around for a while.))

"An amnesiac, eh?" One could barely make out the figure of Prof. Montclair as he ruffled through the many papers and scrolls littering his desk before finally sitting straight. "I may be of some assistance." He smiled, the devil in his lips. (Welcome back. )
