((I'm not good at starting either, but here we go...))

"Hmm..." A short figure reclined on teh beach, her eyes closed. Cool air swept over her body, clad in the school uniform, as night fell on the island. A second later, she sat bolt upright. "Oh damn, how long was I sleeping?" she asked the deserted beach.
She brushed her long hair out of her face, frowning. Oh well- nothing had happened, that was good... Without any other hesitation, she got to her feet. Of course, she still had to make it home, and the trail was so long... She paused. Then again, she knew what direction the school was in, so she could take a far less winding path through the woods. Satisfied at her apparent genius, she started through the dark forest, a slight smirk on her face.

Kiwagar had been waiting in the forest until night would finally fall, finally, his patience paid off as he noticed the young student pass by somewhat cockily. "Hmm, maybe I should teach her a lesson..." The reptilian beast said to himself with a smile. Kiwagar quickly merged with the surrounding shadows and transported, almost instantly, to Severity's location. He stay right behind her, following her in her own shadow.

Severity gulped, darkness quickly falling over the seemingly deserted forest. This might have not been the best idea... She sped slightly, unaware that she was going in the entirely wrong direction. For all she knew, just going straight would lead her to the relative safety of her dorm, so that's what she did.

Kiwagar decide to frighten the girl, he completely disabled her movement for a few seconds and cast his shadows across her feild of vision, blocking her sight.

She gasped softly, struggling against... whatever just happened. When she found herself able to move again, she ran blindly forward, startled.

Kiwagar licks his lips in anticipation. "Ah... finally... the first victim of my little 'hunt'.."He emerged from the shadows and spread his large wingspan. "Give me a workout girl!" He takes off and quickly catches up with her.

Was something talking? Severity didn't know, and right now, she didn't care. She just raced on through the woods until she tripped, her midsection landing firmly on an old, rotting log.

Kiwagar stopped quickly, landing to the ground with an earth-shattering bang , a sound that didn't get past the shadows of the forest. "Aww, you tripped already did you? I could.. give you the option to keep running now..." Grabs her by the head and lifts her to her feet. "...and I could give you a head start..."

She stared at him, trying to backstep. "Please- let me go to my dorm," she said softly, her eyes wide.

Kiwagar smirked, if it wasn't so dark, Severity would see his rows of jagged black fangs. "If you can outrun me until sun-up... I'll let you go to your dorm..." His large wings flapped once and he growled fiercely .

She didn't need any other prompts, racing off into the darkness. Severity had never really been the most athletic girl, and now she was feeling it. She didn't even care where she was running, as long as it was away from whatever the thing was.

Kiwagar retracted his wings and got ready to sprint. "I haven't ran in a long time, I hope she doesn't get away.. " He chuckled to himself as he took one 5 foot leap and used the momentum to run.

She soon slowed, not being in the best o shape. Not being able to see him, and stopped, panting. The school had to be around here somewhere...

Kiwagar noticed the girl slowing down. "Ahh... so you aren't in the best of shape I see... oh well, you haven't been able to keep me entertained in this way, how about another?" He let out a bestial chortle.

She gasped softly, realization kicking in as she remembered other encounters. "No- no, please," she said softly, turning to face him. "I just want to get home..."
