Even when she broke apart her mouth hung open in shock. She was kissing her and... speaking odd things. She blinks at the part where she said not to change. that helped her snap out of her stupor.

Violett's lips came to kiss the palm of her hand as she blocks her off from her mouth.

"You caught me off guard once. But not this time," She says sternly and pushes her away.

"I can't...I can't have someone hanging all over me like this. I-I won't allow it. I won't let someone like you get close to me."

She turns her head away from her and stood up straighter then what she had been. The map was held in a cumrbled fold in her right hand as she tries to appear unphased.

"Your annoying."

Staggering back,Violett's mouth dropped open in surprise as she tumbled over backward, landing on the floor, limbs splayed like a rag doll.

"I'm sorry..." she said, rising to her hands and knees, tears startint to form in her eyes. "I'm so... so...."

Staggering to her feet, she turned as quickly as she could, burying her head in her hands as she dashed off.

She kept her head turned away, gritting her teeth in the guilt of causing Violett pain. But she had to keep her away. It was for her own good to stay a distance. But she was saddened deeply. She had... almost made a friend and then...

"I... I don't blame her if she hates me now," she mummbles to herself and turns away. Her head almost turns back to see where the girl had gone but she stops halfway.

"She'll be fine. She's probably got... lots of friends. The question is... will I be okay with this?"

She couldn't find it in ehrself to chase after the girl, and could only hope for her safe return to her dorm. She shook her head and tried to remain strong. She didn't need anyone. Everyone else would be fine if they didn't get near her.

She sighs with defeat, having driven her away now, she would be able to return to her dorm.

Eyes puffy, Violet slunk into a corner, curling up behind a bookshelf in a tiny little ball.

In the quiet of the library, she heard Ally's words...

Slowly, she crept back, shaking her head, sniffling softly and trying not to start crying again.

"I'm not sure I will be," she said quietly, sliding up alongside Ally.

"I... I don't hate you... I just feel so bad that you hate me..."

With that, she turned to go.

She was momentarily surprised to see she had returned, only that she felt the guilt wale up deep within her. She had to tell her she didn't hate her. But... she couldn't. If she thought that then... then it would be easier for her to stay away.

She crosses her arms and watches her start to go and finally clears her throat.

"I-I know its a shame. Maybe your not so hopeless if you've figured it out. Someone like you doesn't need someone like me so... so just keep walking."

Well, that should do it. She sighs after the fact, shaking her head as she begins to walk in the opposite direction.

"This is just how things must stay."

Turning around, Violett placed a hand gently on Ally's shoulder.

"It's not how it has to be... And you don't have to be scared. If you really hate me, I'l go away... But if you're scared of hurting me... well... I'll be okay, all right?"

turning away, she started singing softly again.

"How I wish.... How I wish you were here... We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish boel,year after year... Running over the same ground.. What have you found? The same old fears...Wish you were here..."

She pulls her shoulder away roughly, not daring to turn around and face her. Her bangs covered her eyes, preventing anyone from seeing the hurt they had inside. Slowly her head moves to the side, to let Violett hear loud and clear.

"I don't hate anything," she merely says and walks off. She didn't stop for no reason and just kept oing, pushing the door roughly apart and left Violett with ehr thoughts.

She just had to get away from the girl. That's all there was to it. there was no deep meaning aside from not wanting to hurt her in the long run. Aside from that she was used to staying alone. That's all she wanted... was to be left alone, right?

Sighing softly, Violett turned around, headed back her own way.

"Goodbye, Ally," she said, not loud enough for the girl to hear. "I hope some day things get better."

With that, she began the long, lonely walk back to the dorms.
