Other: A slightly dark birthmark on her right hip. The occasional bump or bruise from walking into things, or falling over.
Description: With an unnaturally pale tone to her skin, Catherine’s ebony hair stands out against her skin; cropped unevenly and left to lay about in messy manners about her lithe features. Her sharp olive-coloured eyes hide themselves behind a pair of reading glasses, which she keeps on her person at all times. Her clothing tends to be loose, to keep her body out of the attention of anyone and to keep herself out of the spot light. Small bruises tend to appear on her without explanation, though only due to her clumsy behaviour and usual distracted behaviour. In order to try to combat her fear of needles, her older brother took her to a piercing parlour. Her left ear is pierced twice at the top with two silver rings, and a silver stud with a green center runs through the lower portion of her tongue. Needless to say, it didn’t help her fear once the piercings were still aching a week later.


Other Information:
Psychological State: Known to have an over active imagination, a lack of concentration and a sharp temper, Catherine is still considered stable, but has attended previous anger management classes, months before joining Shokushu High School.
Sexuality: Careful not to distract herself with anyone at all. Catherine seems not to pay attention to anyone; regardless of gender.
Likes: Reading, Writing, Music, Violin, Animals.
Dislikes: Needles, Spiders, The Dark, Crowds.
Personality: Catherine is reserved. She tends not to make friends easily, and doesn’t mind that fact as it gives her more time to pay attention to the things she likes most. She can be completely distracted and sometimes stares off into space for hours, which is one of the reasons she is constantly falling over and making a fool of herself in public. However, she is sharp-witted and doesn’t like losing. Because of her brash manner, she tries to keep from being in public so as not to get into an argument or spite with someone, her temper usually something that gets the best of her. She has a bad habit of getting into fights with her smart remarks, when she doesn’t have the strength to get out of them with her strength, or lack there of.


Background:
Born from a mother who passed away barely minutes from her birth, Catherine was brought up with her father and three older brothers. Needless to say, her elder brothers were quite protective, and barely allowed her out on her own, even when attending school. Rarely did she start a friendship with someone, and though it was not of their fault, her friendships rarely lasted as she preferred to stay at home, and socialising was seen as a bother to her, and kept her from doing things she preferred.

Playing the Violin was her passion since she was a child, and at the age of five, her father gave her the Violin her mother had once played. Since then she’d been addicted toward the fluid movements and the soft tunes which were emitted from the instrument. She would sometimes spend hours, bordering days, within her room, simply playing. To her, it seemed the only connection she and her mother would ever hold, and so, it was only unfair for others to attempt to become her friend. In her view, they were selfish. Trying to take her time with her mother away from her, and slowly, she began to resent most people.

After awhile, she finally gained another friend, and while she didn’t spend much time out, she attempted to make the friendship last by inviting her friend over. The girls name was Jean Aston. An average looking girl, not popular, nor one of those ignored students within the school. She would go out of her way to spend time with Catherine, and as time progressed, Catherine didn’t mind her presence, and would play even infront of her. Something she’d refused to do for even her beloved family.

Unbeknownst to her, Jean had gained an attraction toward her, and one night while playing, Jean kissed her. It was a startling thing toward Catherine, and for a moment she considered responding before her eyes caught onto the sight of the female pushing her Violin aside. She cracked and ended up harming Jean more than she’d intended. The girl sent toward the hospital with a broken wrist and many small injuries. Charges weren’t pressed, but Catherine was urged to join an anger management class, and while she progressed there, she slowly began to slink away from the sight of other people, hiding in the field during break at school, and leaving school almost as soon as the bell rang.

Slowly her family drifted away. Her brothers aged and married, or simply moved away, and as time went on, her father began to age, and become weak with sickness. Without any hope of being able to provide for Catherine, he sent away an application to Shokushu High School for her, and booked himself into a local hospital. Without a choice, Catherine packed her bags and farewelled her father, bringing her things to the school, approaching with an apprehensive expression, unaware of anything to expect from the school before her.

A fine character indeed ^_^ I hope that she finds a niche for herself in shokushu.
