Re: The next step (Clarice)
"Burn my enemies to crisps," she said simply, ahving her arms crossed and nodded to it. She wnated to at least make sure her magic would keep away most monsters and possibly protect Kanoe if she could. Even protecting Kanoe and not herself was fair enough in her view.

Re: The next step (Clarice)
"Oh, so the young lady wishes to be pyromanic. Ha, ha, ha." His eyes then seem to light with fire. Your bedroom then vanishs around you as you stand upon fire that flares around you but does not burn you as the Salamdar speaks. "Welcome to the plain of fire. I didn't want to ruin your bedroom as you fling fire around." He tells you.
However it was more of a spirit journey as the Salamandar took your spirit with him back there rather then your actually body as you lay before me unconcious.

Re: The next step (Clarice)
A sort of small meep later and she's surrounded by a fiery plain. Curious, she stretches her hand out and tests if the flames are not hot around her and sure enough she doesn't burn.
She quickly listens to the salamnder's comment and nods a silent thank-you for his consideration. Being transported only felt like a tingle when her spirit was change, but she was sure it was only because of the plain shifts.
"Alright, just tell me what I need to do, Lamis."

He smirks at you as you ask as he holds up his tail spliting apart. Into two. "At this point this is as far as your magic will take me in power wise. The more tails I can split my one into the better it shows your power at.
Now this will come into play later. What I want you to is to show me what you got, what sort of spells, your type of fighting style and we'll go from there. Tell me and show me and we'll see what we can do."

Re: The next step (Clarice)
She takes notice of what his tails were supposed to symbolize and gives a soft 'hn' to it. So her power was only that far? Well, it was ncie to know what level she was at.
Suddenly being asked to show what she's got made her slightly nervous. This was someone who practically lived in fire magic. He wouldn't be that imrpessed with what she had, being self-taught and all.
"I can really only manipulate fire, and soemtimes when I'm at my peek of power I can conjure it in a good size ball. And then really I can make it larger or smaller, but all of this saps my mana away extremely fast."
Now for showing him. A calm sigh escapes her lips as she closes her eyes. It only took a few moments before soft spidery words begin to flow like a brook. Swirls of small rays begin to form in her hand and soon a hand sized ball of controlled fire is formed.
"If its alright with you, I'd rather not sap away my mana quickly in showing you."

"Hmmm, unfortunatly that doesn't tell me much. I can just teach you some basics then and continue with combat training to see how you devlop. Is there someone else that you plan to pair up with as your fighting partnar, that might help me decide. Or I can tell you the different types of mages." He tells you.

Re: The next step (Clarice)
"Kanoe is a dark mage whom I plan to fight alongside. She can also do some fire manipulation, but she's more in depth in dark magic," she explains softly, pushing herself to show more of her fire manipulation.
The ball of fire began a descend to the ground, almost looking like a staff from how it poured from her hands.
"Does this help any?"

Re: The next step (Clarice)
"Hmmm, well your mana supply is sorely lacking it appears. Your manpulation of the fire is pretty good, and your not losing much mana in the process. For a mere novice I would say your mana manuplaition is top rate. There's room for improvement, however..."
He says as he sighs. "Your mana supply is just sorely underrated. If I were to compare you to Keemari, I would say he's like this plane a never ending sea of flame. In comparision your but a small camp fire. Now I see why he decided you needed a partnar." He said.

Re: The next step (Clarice)
"Is there a way to expand my mana?" she asks softly, grimanincing inside on hwo she compared to Keemari. She didn't think she was that bad, but apparently ignorance was bliss. She stops her fire manipulation to save some of her 'puny' mana.
"Am I so underrated? I... hadn't thought so... for someone who hasn't had things blow up too many times in her face... is my mana so little that it can't even hurt me if I use it wrong?"

Re: The next step (Clarice)
"Oh, it can hurt you still. How do I say this. Hmmm. Well to use another fire reference with most mages who are novices like you. For the spells they usually make it would be like using wet wood on a fire. It'll work, but not too well. Your manpulation of your mana turns a small fire into a bon fire as your able to manpulate the spell so efficiently that you can actually improve the power of it.
That's something to be proud of at your skill level at this point. However yes, your mana pool, that is what we need to improve first. It will take some preparation, so instead. I'll teach you a secret on how to save your mana." He tells you.

"Whatever your wishing to offer, I'd greatly appreciate it."
She waits patiently for what the salamnder could possibly do to help her. She could use all the help she could get. Especially trying to protect Kanoe and all. She would do anything to enlarge her mana from what it is now.

Re: The next step (Clarice)
He then moves one of this tails infront of you. "Now watch carefully." He tell you as he draws a rune into the air as you see it take it's form as he used fire to draw it. He then thrust the tail through it as you see him actually pour mana into it as you then see the rune appear on his body.
"This is like an energy patch I suppose. THe runes condense the magical energy for specific purposes, that one is for fire. Basically, what your doing is setting aside the mana you have right now and saving it for later, while your body regenerates the mana that you just put into the rune. THe downside is that the rune can only be used for a specific type of magic once you put it in there and of course the rune will stay on your skin. You can place as many on your body as you want, but for a young girl like you expalinging a tatoo might be hard even though it can disapear the next day, since the rune fades away once you use up the storage."

Re: The next step (Clarice)
She watches in amazement to what happens before her. An energy patch? It certainly didn't look like anything she had ever seen before. She tries to comprehend what its meant for and understands what its supposed to do. But how did this help increase her mana?
"Not that I'm notgrateful, but how does this help me with having mroe mana? Or will I have to continue doing this for the rest of my life?"

Re: The next step (Clarice)
"It doesn't help you overall, but at this point, you can think of it as the ablity to make batteries for yourself I suppose. Little patches of your own mana to be used to lengthen training or when you get tired of launching one fire ball you have reserves you can tap into." He explains.

Re: The next step (Clarice)
She looks down and puts her knuckles udner her chin, thinking deeply about the information given to her.
"I see..." was all she says as she thinks of what uses a patch like this could be used for. It would take a lot of time for a monster to drain her completely on mana. She could use it as an advantage.
"Do... I have something to owe to you for your assistance for this? Just wondering..."
