Suzuna observed her surroundings as she had for some time now already. She was positioned on one of the many ruined buildings, on 3rd floor, her vantage point being a busted up section of wall. Her battlefront was a sorrowful sight: a ruined city, ran down by monsters. Once it had been a home of humans, men, women and children. Now only thing remiding of them were the skeletons left on dying positions.

The whole planet was derelict now, dark and abandoned. Suzuna's mission was simple: to "contain" the population. She would be paid per busted alien. She had already stalked for some week, and managed to frag around dozen aliens, mostly small fries and few a bit higher classified monsters. She was still to see Zero-class, the strongest type.

She laid still, her knees on ground along the front body. The position was awkward, and her breasts squeezed on floor, but it gave her high caliber sniper stable aim. The urban landscape was silent, too silent.

(Free for atleast the first monster, maybe more, and other ADDs who might be on containment team)

Karin remained not far standing in a shadow complete invisible to the naked eye. she kept her eyes on a small monitor on her wrist as she stood there; she had set up a small radar perimeter around the region they were containing. She huffed silently to herself as she crouched pushing a small button on the radar giving her a 3D view.

"Class C Karnietan 2 o'clock... rounding the corner... one shot to down it is in the abdomin a kill shot is in the groin... odd that it keeps it's brain there for an all female species..."

she'd say directly to her partner's mind. Karin might not have been human but, she was indeed ADD; humanoid was acceptable much to her glee.

Karin wasn't being paid for this; she was paid by her government to work for the ADD thus she was more of a volunteer agent.

She heard a voice in her head. Shiver ran trough her spine as she did, she would never get used to it. As a matter of fact, she hated whole telepathy crap.

She repositioned her posture slighlty, taking aim on just emerged target. Suzuna didn't care whether it was a female or male, it was still a monster. With a loud bang and bright flare of gunshot a big, nigh unstopable bullet was sent to its prey. The sound and flash were conventionally covered by all day resuming thunder storm covering whole planet.. a fraction of second later the monster fell on ground, its groin covered in gooey green blood around a fist sized hole marking bullets entry. "13" She thought.

(further addition, monsters are given control of weaker specimens on this scenario, since "player" controlled monsters are assumed to be among the more dangerous and rare specimens.)

Karin looked to her partner for this assignment offering little more that a half a smile from her dark hiding place her eyes adjusted as she looked at her 3D map of the region they were in she'd mutter something to herself as she'd allow one of the shadow creatures from her back to scrawl against the ground ground to beside the woman. the yellow eyes and stitched mouth appeared on the ground attached to the seemingly 2 dimensional being.

"Karin apologizes for the telepathy miss suzuna, she forgets that humans aren't used to it at times. it is a Nictural's preferred manner of communication she will use her voice when able from this point forward."

And with that the small creature would return to Karin's back as she herself would make her way over to Suzuna when she finally decyphered the coast seemed clear.

"Radar reports nothing within a one mile radius of our position the 3-D map confirms this... however the storm's reading shifted slightly within the last five minutes; we may be flying blind from here on out."

Suzuna climbed up, sitting on rather unladylike fashion, resting her big rifle next to her. As Karin came to her, she glared at her with slightly irritated face. "Why the heck do you think we have communication devices?! you can't just barge in others heads and put stuff in there and read thoughts as you please! And that... that purple thing, don't bring it close to me, it gives me goosebumps."

She breathed out then, trying to relax. "so no more of those fuglies in perimeter? Then i take a little rest." With that she closed her eyes, dozing off, arm still wrapped around her rifle.

Karin would softly sigh to herself shaking her head to Suzuna as she fell asleep; she wouldn't talk back to her partner though she did know the devices were often bugged or often picked up by the enemy. She'd look to the sleeping woman and sigh once more sitting cross legged as she adjusted the readings of her scanners and equipment.

I don't study humans enough at the base... I keep making such foolish mistakes they're all so different I don't know how to act with them.

she'd think to herself as she continued checking the scans every few moments wanting to at least protect this woman even if she wouldn't make friends with her any time soon.

While the two ADD agents talked, there within that ruined landscape, a creature below quivered in its' sleep. The derelict planet had looked potentially perfect for its' purposes; while he had his hidey hole in Shokushu, he could only stay static for so long. He had given up his first such cavern as a gift, and he was beginning to worry that the school would be too... limited in the range of knowledge he could acquire.

Knowledge and fun.

Unfortunately, as he discovered, the derelict planet was... extremely well-populated by roaming monsters. He had no intention of becoming dinner. Concealed below ground, he had left eight of his tentacles behind, sending a couple others outwards on the ADD scout ship he had stolen. On this planet, he might be able to hide his latest acquisition, at least 'til the heat died down. And the monsters may not be curious enough to investigate...

But humans might be. The tentacles quietly began to push through the dirt and rock, following the vibrations back to their source. What was going on up there? Was it trouble? Or maybe...

Entertainment. He hadn't got his hands on an ADD agent, not after those first ones that had lead him to Shokushu to begin with. It might be... quite the learning experience. And quite dangerous. He'd have to learn more...


Underfoot, the ground began to shift slightly, and a thin white tentacle tip pushed up beside Suzuna's foot. Resembling something like an eyeless white viper, it began to crane about, looking up the ADD agents' leg and thigh... then turning to peer at the other agent with her. It was small, but the movement from the ground was readily noticeable.

Oop. Maybe I came up too close. The monster thought, admiring the view in the meantime...

Suzunas eyes snapped open the very moment she felt the slightest touch on her boot. She quickly sprang up, abandoning the boot right were it was and kicked the other boot out of her feet towards the source of touch. Without confirming hit or target she grasped on her rifle, taking it on her hip ready to shoot, screaming:

"Freeze!"

She stared at curious lonely tentacle with sharp eyes, finger ready to trigger.

"give me one... no give me TWO good reasons not to blast you right to smithereens, you unsighlty monster!"

The tentacle paused, turning slowly. It seemed to 'look' along Suzuna's leg... then up to her thigh... then body... then to the arm... and right down to the barrel of the rifle.

Then it shot back underground.


Apparently, it didn't want to stick around to try even one good reason.

Silence seems to fall over the encampment. A palatable feeling of wait... was something lurking, waiting for the perfect instant to strike? It certainly had patience...

Or she scared it enough to make it run for the hills. There was a faint 'fweep' from the hole it made, like gas passing, and then a rock was shoved up into the entrance from below.

Maybe she did scare it away. Heh.

However, the still night was finally broken by a long, low howl. One of the bestial monsters that roamed the land... looking for food, perhaps, or more... but it meant the two of them was going to get a chance to earn some more cash after all.

On Karin's scanning equipment, a few such creatures were picked up, coming down from a faraway ridge as they moved along a dry riverbed that ran past the shattered down. They'd have a few dozen of the creatures by there in about twenty minutes or so...

She maintained her place in the shadows just watching equipment as the tentacle rose from the ground to touch her partner's leg. she'd sigh softly at the reactions of Suzuna a shrug of her shoulders offered but little else. the tentacle would go and she'd notice something on her equipment a soft utterance offered in her native tongue; most likely something obscene that had no translation into english.

"We have a situation Suzuna... A few dozen creatures all converging on this location I've activated the perimeter mines though I highly doubt this will be enough to eliminate more than half of these creatures... we may be overwhelmed... it will take roughly an hour for my ship to reach our location for evac if I were to summon it..."

she'd spend a moment or two thinking in silence as she continued to watch the creatures close in. she calculated range time of day. her powers could eliminate a few more though she doubted it would help too much.

Suzuna grins to Karin. She felt the thrill of combat in her spine, as her sense heightened with adrenaline gushing in. She took her rifle, holding it steadily on hip level, walking on one of the openings in wall of derelict building.

"Bring it on, fuck faces!"

She shouted, taunting the monsters as her rifle sent first round on one of the aproaching monsters.

"This is only getting fun, dont be alarmed by these weaklings!"

She yelled to Karin, her rifle starting to rain lead and death to the attackers. The sound of thunder was now accompanied by booming, echoing voice of rifles barrel.

The creatures were quite a distance away, moving along the riverbed...

It wasn't long enough to keep Suzuna from pummeling them with blasts from her deadly rifle.

The creatures began to shriek, scrambling in every direction. About a dozen of them charged onwards, trying to weave, move along the edges of the bed, and otherwise find cover. Three of the others went down fast and hard, and the rest of those began to scramble and scatter, racing out into the open or running back the way they came. What began as a simple troup approaching their direction (roughly) had become a mad scramble for survival.

As Suzuna blows apart the head of one furry goat-headed creature, Karin sees a handful of the scattering beasts running straight into the minefield in their panick. The dozen or so that were still headed for them are being whittled down to eight, then seven, as the booming sounds of the rifle contnue. They begin to break off, turning away from the ruins as they race across the land... they seem uncoordinated, surprised, like they didn't expect to be blasted apart, shot at, and otherwise ambushed.

The dying howls of the beasts scattering are barely heard as several mines explode with resounding BOOOOOMs, and several mines detonating together cause the ruins to shake, dust to rain down from high walls, and teeth to rattle...

From the other end of the riverbed, where it begins to curve through the city, then up to a cutaway into another ridge, other shaggy figures are approaching. More cautiously, from another direction, their loud calls quickly being answered by the ambushed creatures headed in their direction.

A sigh was offered by the barely emotional nictural as she watched her equipment as the mines blew out the south eastern most sensor she'd set up, it didn't much effect her view however as she'd shake her head closing her eyes about ten of the beasts would fall as their shadows strangled them to death. she'd look to her current partner before speaking

"We must move our position immediately, we've been here too long and are compromised. if we stay here any longer we are certain to be discovered shortly and overwhelmed."

she'd say with a mild tone of urgency in her voice eyes half closed as she drew a scoped revolver from her hip looking up as she loaded it nodding.

"There are many other reasons I could offer but i do believe survival is number one on the list."

Suzunas rifle roared to the night, sending another piercing projectile towards its prey. This invoked yet another short scream of pain, as roughly human sized monster was torn to half from its hips. Suzuna wouldn't even look if she hit, she was sure she did. Her keen eyes were already looking for next target. Karins words were obvious, ofcourse it was clear that they couldn't stay.

"Yeah, i sorta figured that out! You go first, i come second and cover you with my rifle!"

Another angry roar from the barrel from rifle, and another scream of disbelief. Suzuna allowed herself to smirk, but only little.

"ok, go!"

She turned on her heels, ready to follow Karin where ever she would go.

More of the beasts were blasted apart by her gun... now there was only a few left of the original pack. The thunderous stampede of the new group, however, was a different story...

The sight of the furry creatures could remind one of a migrating herd, moving across the riverbed and onto the flat plains. They ran like a flock, starting to move away from the ruins as they ran... for their kin.

It looks like they came at the call of their kind, and... they are angry. They round back, a few dashing forwards. But they JUMP before they reach the minefield again, hurdling through the air! The first of them land nearby; it's not far enough, and several are torn to pieces by exploding mines.

But then a few more hurdle through the air, launching towards them again! They land on the scorched earth, beginning to dance and yelp at the burnt soil. It gives them time to race and run, Karin plotting a course to weave them through the ruined buildings. But could they last an hour for the ship to arrive? Not likely...

It was going to be a game of cat and mouse in the ruined city.

Other explosions were heard soon; this time, it wasn't accompanied by screams, but the sounds of pieces of rubble flying about. The creatures were tossing heavy rocks, clearing out the minefield, whilst the ones who jumped were already on the girls' tail, moving around, through, or over the buildings in pursuit, howling in glee!
