Re: Dodge, Dip, Duck, Dive and Dodge (Taisie)
'No, I just gave it to you so you can become completely confused and not understand anything' was what she wanted to sigh, but bites her tongue to keep her sarcasm down. She was not going to be rude to the woman, since she apparently already was before hand. It truly was a lot easier then it was just by seeing. When Kanoe would be able to make sentences of it, it will surely be easy enough to make out a few words in her books and she could basically figure out the words she could read.
"You'll be able to use this as something to fall back on when a word doesn't make sense. You can break it down using this alphabet bracket here."
She hopes she isn't going too fast for the woman. It was hard enough trying to cope with talking with her in English, now the woman may very well insult her and not even know it. Even if it may happen, Tai had to admit... it sounded a bit amusing.
"Having a loose understanding of Japanese is all you need. You don't have to learn everything of it, but words that will most likely be in spells. Don't worry, I'm not about to teach you the entire language. You can memorize the most abundant words first... then we can move on and so forth. We're on your time, so you can learn this at your own pace, alright?"

"That is fine," she says coolly, "A key is more than enough to get me started. But I would not mind learning more when time permits. At least then you would have someone to speak to in your native tongue, even if all I am able to do is listen."
How much would be said should that happen will be less to nothing. This new student tends to keep to herself much like Kanoe did before meeting Clarice. But there was no reason to hurry things much less ask for each other's life stories. If there is nothing to be said then she does not speak, just how things are.
The room fell quiet cept for the turning of pages and the scribbling of notes on paper once more. For most this would be an uncomfortable silence but for these two it was more at home to them. Kanoe occasionally would ask a question about a symbol in the book but otherwise did little to break the silence. The new key was not difficult to use. She has her own made for magic runes so it was simply another few sheets of paper she has to look at to translate. Candles flicker causing the shadows to dance in the room as the two students pursue thier studies in the occult.
