Fighting Style: untrained/monstrous: He typically fights in an almost animal like way, using his tentacles as extra limbs to overpower his foes. Surprisingly, he’s not that strong for being a demon, though still very strong compared to humans thanks to his size and frame.

History: Hydra can’t remember his human name, though he remembers much of his life prior to being cursed and becoming a demon. The former man was a well educated baron in charge of a small province of the British isles (what would today be called Ireland), he was, unlike many at the time, a rather benevolent governor, not imposing any taxes upon his subjects and even protecting them with what knights he had. He even sponsored a sort of ‘scholarship’ program, and most surprising of all, exclusively for women, a very forward thinking and indeed, odd, concept at the time. He would select one woman every few months or so to send to the finest schools in England. Though it would mean leaving their home and family, few if any could afford to pass up such an opportunity in a time when most women were considered second class citizens.

Or rather, that was what the public believed. In actuality, as soon as the women were packed and ready to depart, he would take them to a secret dungeon beneath his keep and imprison them there, forcing them into his own personal nightmarish harem until he tired of them, when he would give them to his troops to keep the secret. Wicked as it was, it was a good plan and the baron kept it up for many years. In a strange turn of events though, after selecting one young woman to be his “sponsorship” one day, he met her sister, previously unknown to him. She was even more beautiful than his original pick, with long red hair and incredibly fair skin.

What was a corrupted baron to do? He couldn’t, of course, retract his previous pick in favor of the new girl based on her beauty, or the populace would grow suspicious of his intentions. Abducting his original pick, he sent this girl straight to his men’s barracks, and tried something new: actually inviting her sister to the keep and attempting to court her normally. After so many restrained women (though he certainly craved such things) perhaps a healthy, normal relationship would work for him even better.

And it may very well have, had his original ‘sponsorship’ not escaped the barracks after the drunken knights left her untied by accident one night and fled back to her home, informing her family and sister of what had transpired. Infuriated, her sister returned to the baron’s home, feigning innocence, and began to seduce him. When they entered his bedchambers, however, she waited for him to begin undressing and, as he was turned, stabbed him in the back with a dagger, exacting revenge for her sister and all his other victims.

And so he died. The land continued to prosper, his knights were driven away, and life went on much as it had before. But that, strangely, is only the beginning of this story.

Perhaps there was such a thing as heaven… Hydra would never know. What he would come to discover, though, is that hell was a certain fact. Not only that, but as with many of the stories of old, fate has funny ways of punishing those who tempt it. He was reborn as a demon, his back rowed with tentacles across his shoulder blades that formed a mockery of the cape he had worn in life. Each appendage was a separate limb, however, and each was quite capable of feeling and operating on its own.

His true punishment however, was much more just. For his crimes against women in life he was given an insatiable lust for human women, keyed mostly to the beautiful red headed maiden he could never have. Even his diet was changed, able to feed on only certain fluids of women (sexual juices, milk, perhaps blood though he has no desire to drink such a thing, still considering himself… somewhat human). Finding himself unable to return to earth, and without any human women in hell, he was left to suffer for thousands of years, left in a state of starving without being able to die. Taking the name “hydra” after the Greek monster that he now reminded himself of with his many tentacles, he stalked across the fiery landscape, waiting.

Again though, Hydra’s story isn’t complete.

Not an exceptionally powerful demon, Hydra was incapable of escaping hell to ever sate his desires… at least, on his own. He was, however, very cunning, and willingly became the servant of a demon lord far more power than himself. Knowing that the more powerful demon was able to journey to his former realm occasionally, Hydra merely waited until such a trip occurred, and ‘stowed away’ along with his ‘master’, leaving him the instant that he was in the old land.

Hydra would soon come to realize, however, he was not in his old land. His master had taken a vacation to an island called shokushu, a sort of disturbing vacation spot for all sorts of demons, monsters, aliens, and other beasts to prey upon young women. Imagine Hydra’s surprise when he found what he had been looking for all along.

Psychological Profile: Cunning yet animalistic, Hydra is a strange paradox of behavior. While he can be nearly feral when he hasn’t fed in a while, he can also be quite human at times. Regardless, though, he has very basic instincts and desires and usually only acts cordial as a means to an end.

Sexual Oddities: Hydra’s tentacles are capable of morphing at the tips becoming either phallic in nature (And functional, for that matter), or inverting themselves and forming small ‘mouths’, his usual method of feeding on his victims.

Human Disguise Form: Hydra occasionally will attempt to disguise himself as human, though it’s somewhat difficult considering he has no ability to actually morph or camouflage himself. This usually entail cloaking himself from head to toe to disguise his skin tone and tentacles.

Clothing: Hydra wears only a black kilt, stretching from his waist almost to his clawed feet, and held up by numerous leather belts.

Distinguishing features: Other than his grey skin and row of tentacles, he also has fingers that end in small claws instead of nails.

Weaknesses: As noted above, though strong compared to humans, Hydra is by no means invincible. He can be subdued just as easily as any human of his build. That said, he is very strong and even a little fast on his feet for someone of his size.
