An unseasonably warm day out even for the tropical island that shokushu was on. Most students were outside sparsely dressed or on the beaches in small bikini's that showed off their gorgeous bottoms and lucious breats or even still around the dorms in the least clothing the head girls would let students get away with. Raven on the other hand sat in the common room dressed just as much as she usually was, many layers of cloth over her hiding her curves almost completely.

She held a small book looking it over, she was only on the seventh page of her spell book learning what it had to teach. so far she found the spells all had their uses and downfalls even on the island where they were weakened without her knowing it.

Maria, admittedly, was one of those girls. The raven-haired brit stood with a gaggle of other girls, all dressed casually with classes done for the day. Casual, for her, tended to be just as teasingly scant as her so-called "uniform", which looked to be a size or two too small, the skirt practically a miniskirt and her blouse unable to even be buttoned all the way up over her ample breasts, leaving a fair amount of cleavage visible. Today, she wore a skirt that was slightly shorter than her uniform's, and that fit tightly to her hips, along with a midriff-baring tanktop of black with a delicate vine-like pattern across one side of it in pink. Her lithe legs were covered by thin white stockings, and her stiletto heels looked like they might kill a person not used to walking in them, or break someone's ankle at the very least. The girls were giggling and laughing at some joke or another, but eventually Maria flashed them all a smile, hugged and blew kisses to each one of them, and began to saunter away. She walked right past Raven, smiling to herself, her hips giving a playful sway with every step. She paused though, just past the other girl, and frowned, reaching into her small handbag and digging around for a moment.
"Oh, bloody hell...don't tell me I forgot it..."

Raven heard a voice glancing up for a moment at Maria hearing her seeming plight. She cocked a brow for a moment closing the small book and placing it in a pocket in one of the garments under her skirt. she stood and approached the scantly cald young woman quietly looking over her in mild discomfort of her state of undress.

"Excuse me. what's wrong?"

she asked hesitantly stammering just slightly through her words she she stood behind the busty woman red hair prim neat and tied back into a simple poneytail today.

Maria glances back at Raven, blinking and blushing a little, the girl biting her lower lip.
"Oh, hello." She says with a nervous little laugh, embarrassed at not having noticed her before. "I was supposed to give my friend Rachel something, but I forgot it up in my room." She shakes her head, sliding her fingers back through her dark hair. "Well, I'll see her later, so it's not a huge deal. But I hate forgetting things like that..."

she would offer a soft nervous sigh and smile before nodding moving back to her seat.

"Oh well uhm... sorry for bothering you then miss."

she still sounded nervous and overly shy for a student at shokushu anyway; at least the majority of the students here. Eyes were half closed in thought then as she wondered what she could do now. she was a little thirsty.

"Maybe I'll go get a drink..."

"H-hey, wait!" Maria calls out, moving to touch Raven's shoulder to stop her, smiling at her. "You weren't bothering me, miss. And hey...why don't I join you?" She winks playfully. "Trust me...I don't bite. Much."

Raven looked back to Maria as she stopped her cocking a brow slightly at her... well to Raven anyway, odd behavior. she nodded slightly.
"Alright, well... uhm. I keep some sweet iced tea i mixed up in my dorm room if you'd like to join me for a drink in that case."
she hoped that it didn't sound too presumptious of her to invite a stranger to her room.

"Oh, I'd adore that. I love tea." She says, offering her hand to the woman. "My name's Maria Ashcrofte. It's a pleasure. And I do hope I'm not being too pushy...I really just like meeting people."
Her behavior wasn't odd, to her at least, and she kept her smile as she held her hand out, several slim bracelets adorning her wrist, and her long nails painted a deep red to match the hue of her lipstick.

Raven nodded to her with a bit of a laugh. She scratched at her ear slightly
"I'm Raven Poe and yeah it's a pleasure. follow me."

she simply said keeping her gaze more to the floor than anything as she shook her hand before she'd lead her to the stairs then to her and zilva's room before she'd begin searching her many pockets for her key.

Maria walks with her, smiling. She did enjoy making new friends. And Raven was rather cute, if unfortunately covered up. She waits just behind her as she digs for her key, crossing her arms beneath her breasts and tapping her fingers against her elbow. "So...how long have you been going to school here?"

Raven took a few moments to think before shrugging softly.
"three or four days..."
she said softly as she lifted her skirt to show the baggy knit shorts she wore between the skirt and the other several layers of clothing. finding the key in a pocket of those she'd smile and gently push the door open.

"Feel free to take a seat, just try not to touch any of the vials, they're some of my room mate's... class projects."

she decided that would be the best way to cover up her room mate's little hobby.

Maria had stepped inside, and was looking closely at some of said vials when Raven spoke. She blinks, then, stepping away with a laugh. "Okay, okay..."
She looks toward the other girl, having noted all the layers, frowning a little and moving back over to her. "
"why wear shorts under your skirt?" She asks curiously, arching a brow. "And so many layers...it's kind of warm for all of that, isn't it?"

Raven thought for a moment and shrugged softly.
"why not wear shorts under my skirt?"

she asked simply in responce as she gathered her tea from a small mini fridge and pouring a couple glasses placing one before Maria.

"And I don't really go outside so I don't notice the heat as long as the air conditioning is working well in the school building."

Maria takes the glass, smiling in thanks and sipping the tea. "Well...it just seems kind of...I don't know..." She shrugs a bit. "Too much, I guess. That's all. You're really cute...I bet, without all of those extra layers, you'd look even cuter..."

She sighed softly offering a shake of her head after she had sipped her tea.
"Sorry I really don't agree with that."
then again that coming from raven had to be taken with a great deal of salt, she was a recluse after all, she'd never really been complimented before.
