Re: Where Phoenixes Rise
"You have a flair for the dramatic don't you? Although I wouldn't get to comfortable yet, cause I could still decide to torch you anyways. I really don't need much of a reason. Scratching a talon along her arm, she said "Just a pit stop. You don't need to know more. Although I could ask you the same question. Why come here if the heat bothers you so much?"
Thinking to herself she thought Although I might have an idea. He seems to be distracted and the only thing of interest on this rock is my ship. A few moments later her communicator rang, taking it out of the holster on her thigh she anwsered "Alright. I'm heading back now." Looking toward Solais she said "Well Solais it was interesting meeting you but I have to go. Have some business to take care of."

Re: Where Phoenixes Rise
"Oh, that's a simple one! I was looking for you, Tessa!" He smiles winningly, as though this were the most obvious fact in the world. "At least...I THINK it was you...something made a bright flash around this area a while ago. I saw it from beyond the atmosphere, and got curious..."
He frowns as she picks up the small communicator from her belt, speaking into it, then delivering the news that she's leaving. "Oh no...well, that's no good...I don't suppose I could talk you into staying and chatting a moment longer? I find you interesting company..." He sighs, already knowing the answer, or at least thinking he does. He rolls his shoulders a couple of times, shifting his neck around, stretching. But stretching for what...?
He eyes her hopefully. "I don't suppose I could persuade you to take me with you? It IS awfully hot out here, and besides..." He winks, grinning and showing sharpened teeth. "I'd like a bit more company. Perhaps in some closer quarters with less clothing?" He obviously thinks himself to be enchanting company as he states this last.

"Who can be sure? This area gets busy sometimes." Putting the communicator back onto her belt she said"I really can't stay. Money to be made you know?" Raising her arms above her head, stretching her stiff muscles, she smiled devilishly as he asked to come with her.
"You want to come with me you better be prepared to work, and who knows I might be persuaded to pay you in something other then credits.

Re: Where Phoenixes Rise
He thinks for a moment, eyes drifting up and down her from. Work? He didn't like that...not at all. Work was no fun...but Tessa...SHE looks like fun. And besides...he hadn't yet heard what kind of work he'd be doing. He smiles, finally. Why not? After all, he's seen what she's capable of in this environment, and fighting his way onto the ship would be difficult, especially considering the lack of shadows around to help amplify his abilities. He could always go with her, and should he decide he doesn't like her leadership...well, there are always other options, are there not?
He bows again. "Consider it a bargain, then. I suppose I can play pirate for a while...but...what kind of work are we speaking of?"

"Well then let's get to the ship. I will explain the mission on the way." As they made their way back to the ship she explained the job, they were going to plunder a military vessel containing a shipment of the ADDs new weapons. Arriving on the ship she said "Alright you better have the details down cause we will be taking off soon. Follow me to the bridge."

Re: Where Phoenixes Rise
He follows her to the ship, listening to the details of her plan only vaguely, most of his attention focused on the shift and sway of her body as she walks. He manages, every so often, to stop staring at her backside and lock eyes with her, making a pretense of listening. Smiling, he nods and gives the affirmative, where neccessary to keep the conversation going.
Once aboard the ship, his attention span stretches even more thinly as he tries to switch his gaze between her curves and the interior of the craft, identifying corridors and pathways within as best he can, putting together a mental map of the place. "So...this work of mine. I'm supposed to help raid a ship?" Boring... he thinks to himself, though he doesn't say it out loud. Never having been one to put much stock in material objects, raiding a ship for such things seems...dull to him. Particularly when he could simply carve a vessel open in a few seconds and leave them to sort its contents after the vacuum of the void had sucked them all out. Still...
He sighs. "Why not? This could be fun....and the pay? Something other than credits?" He says this last hopefully, having to restrain the urge to give her backside a smack...though he doesn't bother to disguise his gaze this time.
