He had found himself in a rather bored state as he made his way through the forest. He had been mildly interested in what he had picked up a telepathic message from one of his nodes that had managed to find its way inside the dorms.

The dininitive size of the creature had allowed it to go unnoticed as it had managed to spy on several students as it had nade it's way along, creeping along floors and walls, peering into a few rooms but nothing had pleased it more than worming it's way inside of one of the rooms where there had been a student alone. It had quickly surveyed the interior of the room before alerting it's parent to inform Aegir that it could infact enter the chamber through a slightly opened window that it could squeeze through if it had been inclined in doing so.

The node had reported all that it had seen, relaying telepathically all that he had found to it's creator.

Busy studying kept her focus to the books and nothing else. But she wasn't studying for classes whatsoever. This was Clarice after all... the busy, busy magic user who never wanted to stop learning of how to gain more power. A woman who has had her fair share of misery on the island and it didn't seem it would be the end for a while. But one-minded Clarice would never give up magic despite her sacrifices. She had come too far to give up now.

Once she found she was ready to attempt channeling did she sit up on her bed and close her eyes. Being alone meant she had no distractions and slowly did she begin to channel mana. As soon as she got to the height of where she needed to be did she attempt an ice spell to freeze a towel that had been put on the floor for a reason.

Only did it spark in front of her eyes did the backlash take place. She hadn't had one of those in awhile. And the fact it was quite a big one that sent her back to the wall. Her head had certainly taken a blow to the wall. Hr hand slowly reaches the back of head as she groans in slight pain. Well... that could be counted as a failure.

Aegir had found himself being drawn through the terrain of the forest as his node had relayed to him the apparent defenselessness of the student it had now watched from it's postion of concealment near a potted plant.

He had slithered across the ground as his tentacles had pulled him along like legs. His movement had been slow and a bit lethgaric on land but he had perserved as he had made his way along. His thoughts had turned upon the hapless student as he went hoping to come across her such a state.

At long last he had chanced upon her dorm room. The exterior of her building had provided no defense against him as he had used the suction cups upon his tentacles to scale the smooth wall. Like an octopus the narrow opening of a window would prove to be no challenge as his boneless structure began to push against the frame of her window as he had sought entrance into her rooom.

Clarice makes another groan; the apparent sense of anything around could sense the disruption in mana she had managed to cause. She certainly wasn't feeling very good at the moment either. The fact it was an ice spell she had tried her teeth chatter as she rubs her hands up and down her opposing arms.

She looks to the towel who had only suffered a mild wind current that turned it into a ruffled position and gives a saddened sigh. Much too preoccupied with her failure then to see her window being looked upon as an entrance she begins to stand. She picks up the towel to examine it of at least having some ice on it, but it seems she was the only thing that had been iced to the core.

"... well... it's been awhile since I had a backlash... whether that's good or not," she says to herself and lets out an annoyed laugh before she makes her way to the bathroom, slipping it back on the towel rack before turning back to her bed. With a heavy sigh she lets herself fall on the bed limply.

"And now I'm cold..."

He had to face his fears even if the consequences had been dire. Vulnerable to electrical attacks her spell casting, even with the inhibitors on the island, could wrack him with tremendous pain. Her being a magic-user had only served to enhance matters as he approached her.

His node had continued to report to him as Clarice had gone about the room. Instructing him on what she had been doing. While she had plopped down upon the bed he had managed to compress himself enough to squeeze through the minute space generated by the opened window.

Like an ooze he had spilled into the room. Taking full advantage of the situation he had taken a mere moment to compose himself as he neared her bed. Like the petals of a flower he had found his numerous tentacles unfurled like a flower opening up to the light of the sun.

He had opted to waste no time. Usually he would have several contingent plans in place but not on this evening wen such sinplicity would suffice. He had found himself looking upon the girl in the bed with his white pupil less eyes.

For a moment he had paused as he took in the scene before him. Eager to fall upon her he had delayed only insofar as to gauge her reaction to his presence in her domicile.

She shivers for a moment before she simply remains lying on the bed. Her mana levels were fluxuating thanks to the backlash, which made it a very difficult time for her to pay attention to anything, especially a monster making his way into her room. It was only until she opened her eyes and saw the semi formed monster did she blink for a moment.

Simplicity in itself was a bad taste of reality. She quickly jumps to her knees and sits up abruptly. She already had an orb of darkness ready to fire, still relapsing from the backlash. Her eyes said it all as she backs away to the wall on her bed.

"I don't want... any trouble. Please... not tonight."

He watched with unblinking eyes as she had responded. He hadn't delved into her mind and thus had been mildly surprised. As she had spoke to him he had almost felt human as she had conversed with him. It had been rare that he had been spoken to as an equal rather than some beast.

But the magical backlah had seemed to make her vulnerable as he had loomed over her, making her vulnerable. With the inhibitors on the island in place he had no cause to fear any magic other than electrrical which had been a hinderance to him in a major way, so much so that a small shudder at the thought of it alone had caused his mauve flesh to ripple in rsponse to his own thoughts.

He regarded her for a moment then responded with the force of half of his tentacles as they lashed out toward her in order to secure her. That way his slow speed could be negated.

His aims had been a simle one as he had tried at first ti immobilize her. He spoke into his mind with his telepathic gifting. But tonight is the perfect night my dear.

Her wishes were thrown right back in her face. She had hoped maybe being considerate enough would save her the unpleasant time of being raped. it made her shudder inside she could think so freely of being used and abused like this. But perhaps it was like humans killing humans- one gets used to it after some time. But time was of the essance.

She lets loose her magic orb before she was subdued in a slew of tentacles, dark bolts rattle through the air, aiming to hit him square in the chest. Whether or not it would be effective was a one shot hope. Her arms and legs.

She blinks at the thoughts running through her head. Telepathy... that certainly didn't comfort her. But she rememebered the few times some monsters used mind games on her. As long as she responded she was making her mind vulnerable. Perhaps not trying to talk back will hinder the beast from penetrating what he couldn't sinc. She simply shuts her mouth and glares coldly.

Instinctively he tossed up his tentacles as he had tried to ward off her attack as she hurled her orb at him. The attack had hit him square upon his chest as the orb had managed to hit him square upon his chest. Shards of electricity had rushed over his body with an effect that had caused him to recoil in pain as it had raced over his body leaving incredible burns in it's wake despite the inhibitors placed throughout thaae island.

As pain had seared over him it had only seemed to generate a ferocity within him as he let loose a wretched scream. It had been clear that she had in fact injured him severely.

For a moment he had considered falling back, fleeing the scene from whence he had come but anger had seemed to fuel him now as his charred flesh could clearly be smealt hanging upon the air like the fragrance of some sweet aroma, or perfume that hung upon the air.

An intensity came across his face, almost to the point of inflicting harm upon the one that had brought it upon him. His tentacles had lashed out in a wave of uncontrollable action.

Despite him multifaceted brain it would take a moment for him to recapture the full use of his appendages. He had elected to stay, to endure this storm though of course he had illicated to stay. Whoever, he had sought to isolate her potential to lobe incantations at him choosing to do his best in striking out before another such orb had been hurled at him.

Restraining her in some fashion had become important as a means of defense against her. Rapidly he had calmed knowing that if there positions had been reversed that he would use whatever he could to defend himself. And though anger had fueled his initial response he had found some restraint returning to him as he launched his tentacles at her again.

That was the last thing she expected. She actually... hurt a monster? She could recall on a single hand in an almost two year radius when such a rare event happened. But she did not dwell on possible victory. The monster's wretched scream left her to cover her ears as he reels back in some form of agony. For a fleeting moment she watched him and his burns... for a split second she felt sympathy and almost guilt. Had she known she could've possibly done such torturous damage to the thing perhaps she would've hesitated.

But now she had every right to retaliate as he came back with vengeance. Her moment of sympathy disintegrated as he comes back into the room and tries to restrain her again. This time she conjures two orbs and throws a single one at him before pointing the other orb at him. Perhaps a threatening manner will make the monster leave. Although it didn't appear she was becoming drained, her skill of controlling mana only came so far. She may be able to pull off two more spells before she would be weakened incredibly.

She says a few soft whispers to turn the dark orb into a brighter spell, almost like the sun with the exception of small bolts and flames that licked the orb's shape. She was scared to death this monster would be too angry to even consider a possible 'nice' time now. Whether the second orb would strike or not, she desperately avoids the tendrils as he possibly tries to avoid that spell. She topples to the floor before scrambling to her feet and raising her hand to the thing once more. The orb remained intact, despite its wielder shaking and shivering in fear of what this thing may do.

"B-back off or... I-I'll hit you again. Seeing wh-what it does to you… I honestly don’t want to inflict pain… I just want to be left alone!”

Fortunately his regenerative powers had been quick to kick in as he had healed himself from the damage she had inflicted upon his. His mouth tentacles had controted in what had passed as a grin of sorts that his race had employed.

Those mouth tentacles twisted and contoted as he narrowly dodged her hurled orb, ducking beneath it as he felt the sting of heat against his rubbery flesh.

Calculating both her words and resolve in her words his gaze had been transfixed to the orb that she had wielded in the palm of her hand. A bluff? He had been uncertain that she had been bluffing at this point, though it had been enough to halt him for the time being.

Pain lanced out against his chest as he contemplated her words. Had she been serious or was she planning on lobing that orb at him when he had least expected it?

But he had not been out of tricks, not by a long shot. As his body healed and anger had bled out of him Aegir broke this stand still by conjuring the ample use of his telepathic powers. First he had pierced the veil of her mind as he had determined her intentions then mapping out the neurons of her mind he had disrupted her thoughts with a quick burst.

Though he had hated doing so Aegir had conjured up his mental abilities to take brief control of her mental facilities. Telepathically he had urged her to desist in her attacks hoping that she had no mental defense against his attacks as he used that moment to renew his attack upon her hardly spending any time to observe if his mental urging had worked or not.

He acted impatiently as he made his moves as if all those consumed minds had tainted him. He had pondered, albeit briefly, what it would be like to partake of her flesh as he had made her pay for the grievous wounds that she had inflicted upon him. His mind had conjured images of her rapture as he had taken her against her will again and again until she had cried out for no more. That, he had determined, would be the punishment that he would inflict upon her if he had been successful in his endeavor.

So quickly did she realize her mind was being attacked did she send the orb downward instead of simply ceasing. The blinding power ruptured from the core, temporarily blinding the monster and herself. Being as such she was out of strength, however. She wasn't bluffing when she said she wouldn't cause pain the thing if he had just left. But it seems his mind was made up and that she would pay for it.

Through the blinding light does she make a final attempt at freedom, unleashing another orb before mana was spent. How tired she was that she could barely muster enough to fight off the tendril for seconds before they subdued her. Temporarily blind, she could not see if she had even aimed right, but she only did so the last place she saw the monster.

Her body ached from using so much energy and mana, begging her to simply stop in her endeavors to escape. She could only reluctantly obey as she bent her head forward and took exhausted breaths, her head sweating from such a workout. Seems her thoughts about possibly conjuring two more orbs was only one. If she even dared to try another in this state she would surely regret moreso then not doing it. She was in this monster's hands now.

"... I told you... I wouldn't of tried to hurt if you'd just... le-leave me be..." she says through gasping breaths.

The light of the orb had been blinding. However, he had been tapped into her thoughts now and new enough not to stand still before her. As a consequence he had used his blindness well chosing then to strike out as he deftly moved to his left.

He had felt the electrical heat washing out from the orb as it harmlessly sailed passed him only to embed itself against the wall.

Smooth silk flesh had been wrapped about her wrists as he had stretched them out in their attack. Twp tentacles had held her wrists while his others had been free to attack. For a moment he had rested bidding his time as he healed from the wounds that had been inflicted upon him.

His own hold upon her had been secure though not crushing as he had looped coils of his tentacles about her.
