Post Tamar Ben-David
Personal Information

Full Name:: Tamar Ben-David
Nicknames:: Tam (on occasions)
Gender: Female

Physical Information

Height:: 1.68 m (5’6”)
Weight:: 57 kg (125 lbs)
Hair:: dirty blonde
Eyes:: hazel

Description::

Tamar could describe herself as attractive without sounding cocky. In fact, she could probably get away with “smoking hot”. She’s on the tall side of average at 1.68 meters and she weighs an athletic 57 kilograms (5’6”, 125 lbs.) Her arms and legs are long, lean and toned and even under a shirt it’s easy to see that her stomach is taut. Her breasts are on the small side but seem to fit her build and her ass, which she’s not above flaunting, is round and firm. On her left ankle is a light blue butterfly tattoo.

After two years in the military Tamar appreciates a hot shower with shampoo and conditioner but also appreciates easy to do hair styles. As a result she typically wears her dirty blonde hair loose, letting the wavy locks fall on either side of her face. To keep it out of her eyes she employs one of a number of thin head bands. Her skin is bronzed, a mixture of the sun’s kisses and genetics. A small dark mole decorates her sharp chin and a pair of thin framed glasses sit on the tip of her pert, upturned nose. She is incredibly free with her wide, toothy smile. In both ears she wears a pair of stud earrings and a small gold hoop and a gold Star of David hangs from a chain around her neck.

Tamar is a casual girl and her clothing choices reflect that. Her favorite outfit is a tight baby tee coupled with a fairly raggedy, less than modest length pair of cut off jean shorts. If she can get away with it she likes to be barefoot. When her clothes aren’t her choice Tamar is not one to complain. She may not be fond, per se, of her school uniform but she wears it without alteration.

Biographical Information

Place of Birth:: Bat Yam, Israel
Place of Residence:: Malibu, California (most recent)
Date of Birth:: August 14, 1988.

History

The only thing Tamar’s parents have ever told her about the day she was born was that it was hot and that they sweat, a lot, in the delivery room. With that mental picture, Tamar never really wanted to ask any more. As such, they never told her she kicked through the amniotic sack and the doctors had to induce labor. Despite the drama, Tamar was perfectly healthy and her parents were thrilled.

Tamar grew up on Bat Yam’s beaches. She learned to surf almost immediately after learning to walk. Being in the water was as natural for her as not. In fact, her parents often teased her about being part fish. More days than not she was happy and life was easy. At the same time the specter of violence hung over everything and when she was seven it touched her personally for the first time when her cousin was killed in an attack on a bus. Tamar felt the range of emotions; anger, hate, fear and sadness. The mix of emotions is something she’s carried with her ever since.

School was a struggle for Tamar not because she was stupid but because she was largely disinterested. Until she learned to play the game and do enough to appease her parents she spent a lot of time on restriction (read: grounded) because of her poor marks. Eventually, Tamar turned into a better than average student simply by virtue of the fact that she was intelligent and her parents wouldn’t accept anything less.

When she turned 18, Tamar entered the Israeli Defense Force (military service is compulsory in Israel). She served two years in the IDF and when she finished she announced to her parents that she wanted to go to college in the United States. When she was fourteen Tamar had spent a summer in the US as part of an exchange program and it had always been in her mind to go back. College seemed like the ideal opportunity. College wise Tamar had expensive tastes so when she enrolled she also took a job as an au pair. After six months she was fired and decided to go back to Israel to finish up college.

Her parents had other ideas.

Apparently they were not as technologically unsavvy as she believed and they’d stumbled across her Facebook page. Some of the pictures had been less than flattering (morally flattering anyway) and her parents had decided she needed “finishing school” as much as anything. A colleague of her father’s suggested Shokushu for that very reason and her parents had already arranged a flight when she landed in Tel Aviv. The lay over lasted 45 minutes and Tamar was back on a plane, headed off to another school.

Personality Profile

Initially Tamar can come across as cocky or arrogant and kind of self important but a good bit of that is a front, a means of protecting herself. Beneath that she’s friendly, something that her smile often gives away, caring and considerate. She is extremely self assured (though the nature of the island will likely throw her off) and to people who don’t know her that gets misconstrued as arrogance. At the same time she probably is a little arrogant so maybe it’s not a total misconstrue.

Shalom and welcome to the mad house! Nicely detailed surfer you have there, and pretty damn realistic to boot. I especially like the added background with her cousin. Kudos on a great character and hope to catch her around. Literally. :twisted:
