It sounded reasonable enough that michael had confused animals for monsters. she always had refused to go for eye exams so I guess maybe it was her eyes. ah well.

"Hmm. Well makes sense. Glad the administration does what they can anyway."

I commented picking up the book that sat on my lap; I opened it and blinked; half of it was cut out and inside was a flask.

"Uhm... miss Van Ryan. I'd like to report the complete desecration of literature to hide alcohol!!!"

I was pissed to see a book damaged in such a way just to hide someone's alcohol! I mean really I'd wanted to try reading war and peace for years I finally find a copy and pages are missing to hide these... these things?!?!?! It was an affront before the great Edgar Allen Poe... who was a drunk... alright bad example...

Gears in my mind turned. I hated punishing people, but I had a lot of fun doing it. "I'll have Saffron at the front desk keep an eye out for who checks it out next, and when she finds the girl, I'll handle it." It was important to keep order, but also, I just became the bookworm's hero. Punishing the wicked and getting the girl! Total win!

I placed the book down closing it and pushing it away. Just my luck most of the books I had taken from the shelves were either damaged, blank or otherwise worthless.

"This school needs to keep better tcasre of their books... this one here..."

I pointed to the inside that had been stained by fluid of some sort; I didn't know what sort though Linnis could probably guess.

"And this one looks like someone spilled paste on all the pages..."

I sighed faintly pushing the books away.

"Thank you very much for being willing to tell the higher ups to check out these things for me. It's only a minor complaint save the alcohol part."

I stood with a bit of a stretch pushing out unwittingly my chest which was rather large for my 5' tall form.

"Hmmm second I graduate I'm going to get breast reduction..."

I blushed as I thought out loud turning towards the shelves.

"A nice B would suit you, quite lovely," I said with a grin and envisioned it a little lewdly in my mind. I responded as if nothing was unusual about the statement and in my life almost nothing was. It was nice, and I was trying to help her feel a connection to me. Maybe I'd get more than a mental image after all.

Looked to the teal haired girl with a bit of a giggle at that before turning back and smiling to her brightly.

"Glad you didn't take that wrong Miss Van ryan. And uhm... yeah I was thinking that too... I can't believe there are women that want damned E or F cups."

I sighed faintly looking down at my own D cup chest. It was a bit embarrassing really.

"I have a chest most women would love but, I want to get rid of it, irony is thick huh?"

I nodded, understanding. My own chest was rather modest, so I could relate, "I rather fancy smaller breasts," I said with an assuring grin. I was tipping my hand a little more, but considering I told her I was reading lesbian romance novels, I figured she realized.

It should have been a hint what she was reading and the fact she liked a lesbian eroge but, I guess this was that giant sign with the arrow saying 'Lesbian here!' or of course she could just appreciate beauty based on... breast size... probably not...
"Oh? Well that's an interesting little bit of info. but, may I ask why mention that to me?"
It was probably a bold question that might get a bold answer but, heck I might as well ask... plus i knew if I didn't i'd be wondering all day.

"Just saying not everyone looks for F cups," I responded, and it was true, if I had been meaning that in a flirtatious way, it would have sounded a lot more like my next comment, "but that's not to say that women with Ds are unattractive. It's like a priority list, I suppose." And there it was, the first overt line dropped, although it was one I could walk back if I was still not moving slow enough for the stratagem.

I wasn't sure to take that as a line that she was hitting on me or just making a comment so I just smiled nodded and took a book from a return cart at random. unfortunately it happened to be one of my favorite eroge manga, mahou shojo ai. Ironic in a way given the island I was on.

I returned to my comfortable seat opening the manga and smiling softly to Linnis.

"Do you ever use your position for personal gain from the students?"

let her take the question as she wished, I was hoping for a slightly more 'sexual favors' sort of answer. just idle curiousity and nothing more.

"I love that one," I remarked when she opened the manga and then I moved on to other things, the question posed to me. And in truth, I did abuse my privileges sometimes, "Really it's less of using my authority and more like the perks and title impress people, and it puts me in right places at right times, and people feel obligated when I do them favors, that sort of thing. It's not so much abuse of power, but I'm a little fuzzy on the ethics of it all, to be honest," and yes, most of the returned favors were in the form of sex, but I'd leave it up to her to take the conversation there if she really wanted to know.

I nodded to her simply. I knew politics well enough to know that more often than not; favors in a setting like this were either academic or sexual in nature so I didn't really have a need to go further with that line of questioning though when she remarked about the manga I smiled to her.

"I have to admit I enjoy the art style and general story quite a deal."

Not even a sexual tone in my voice, I was probably the only one on earth, or off earth for that matter that read eroge for the story.

"I rather fancy Ai, she's quite adorable, and I'd like to cosplay her someday," I admitted, though thoughts like that didn't come to me often. That was always more of a 'Lin and Sondra' thought, and without Sondra, it was weird to think about dressing up at all. But I pushed passed it. Had she known the nature of the school, I'd have remarked upon the irony, but instead, I waited for her. I wasn't sure where I was going at the moment and was looking for the next path to get toward my goal.

"you'd look good in that outfit I think."
I smiled at that, honesty was always a good policy and I was an admirer of beauty no matter it's form whether appealing to me physically or not, of course what I found appealing to my libedo had yet to be found out by myself so that was still quite the mystery to even myself.

"I myself would never have the guts to cosplay, let alone as an eroge character."

I laughed nervously to myself looking down and feeling just a little selfconscious as I turned a page.

I smiled a sort of thin flirtatious smile, "I'll try it on for you some day," I said suggestively and then moved on to other things, trying to find a way to get the greenie naked.

I placed the book to the side and took a breath, was nice to chat with the woman, the smile she gave was different from any I'd seen before; kind of thin, kind of... hmmm, unique... It was a welcome change from the norm so I didn't question it.

"So uhm, is there any way to perhaps get a new uniform or two? The ones sent to me are made a bit too small for me. I think they read the numbers wrong on my measurements."
