Ishtar nodded to her new friend. Sure, that sounds good to me. Ishtar stood up with her tray to join Lyndsey. Ishtar retrieved her notebook. So please lead the way. Ishtar giggled. This is probably the only time I'm going to get to say that.

Lyndsey nodded softly as she placed the tray away and began simply walking back towards the dorms glancing back every now and then.
"So besides acting, what else do you do?"

she asked wanting to learn a bit about this girl.

Well, I play volleyball. I also have just gotten into reading books. Also I like to sing. Actually singing probably my favorite activity after acting. But I also enjoy learning about people.

Ishtar smiled at her new friend. It was nice to meet and learn about new people at school.

"You like to sing huh?"

she commented with a bit of a smirk an idea forming in her head already. She was sure ishtar could be a special bit of entertainment on her radio station some time.
"and learn about people? well here's a fact, My dad's a cop and I'm here because my other options were prison or the marines."

She wondered how ishtar would react to that, she hadn't really told all that many people this yet.

Prison or the Marines. Ishtar thought about what Lyndsey just said. That's not alot options. Why did you have to make that choice. You seem to be a nice enough person. Why would anybody want you to go to prison?

"Lets see... there was shop lifting, assault, disturbing the peace, threatening a public figure in public, oh and the laughable suspected terrorism, and of curse defacing public property and there are other but, I think you get the point."
She shrugged slightly.
"I'm what you'd call the tough bad girl trying to reform herself a lil' bit. Kinda lucky I got a lenient judge." and a guy with a mind as weak as pudding skin

She laughed at her little thought as the two entered the dorm building and headed up the stairs rather quickly until they reached her floor, from there finding her room was a simple matter of finding room 327

Ishtar looked a bit surprised, as Lyndsey listed off the charges. Really, All of that? I am surprised I would have never suspected any of that. You are really lucky to find a judge like that. In Japan they would just locked you in a room and thrown away the key.

The two headed upstairs upon reaching the doom building and soon found Lyndsey's room. Ishtar quickly scribbled down so she wouldn't forget.

She reached into her pockets digging around for her key before huffing slightly and pulling out a pair of needles. She stretched a little as she looked to the woman for a time.
"There was also breaking and entering... hate locking my key in my room."

she huffed as she held her ear close to the keyhole adjusting the needles every so often before finally things would click and she'd turn the needles well enough to force the door to unlock.
"There we go!"
the smirked turning the door knob and gesturing ishtar into the room.
"Sorry about that ishtar and sorry about the mess, haven't unpacked my clothes or things yet, just some equipment of mine.

her bags of clothes and personal affects were still all over her bed, the spare bed and in the only chair

Ishtar watched as Lyndsey pulled out a pair of needles to work on the door. Ishtar joked, Well I guess old habits die hard. Especially if they are pretty useful. You will have to teach me that. It would be nice to get into my room when I forgot my key.

As Ishtar stepped into the cluttered room and took a look around. Don't worry about the mess. I was like that my first few days as well. There was so much to do that day.

If Ishtar were to look she would see that not a single piece of women's clothing could be seen even the pair of underwear leaking out of one bag was a pair of men's knit boxer briefs; it seemed this girl really was on the extreme end of the tomboy scale.
"And yeah I can teach you that some time, not too hard to get used to but, would probably be better if you'd start with the good old screwdriver and narrow crab claw pick."

she offered smiling softly as she pulled out a few things from a drawer. a Smile on her face.
"So what about you? how did you end up here?"

Ishtar looked around the room as Lyndsey searched a drawer. Ishtar was rather surprised to see all the clothes seem to be over the top for a tomboy. But she wait until later to ask about it.

Ishtar looked a little sad when Lyndsey asked her about she arrived here. I had an accident at a club in my old school. It left me with anterograde amnesia, so I have trouble remember things long term. I was sent here to keep me from wandering off the campus on accident. It's hard to wander off an island.

"Oh... will you even remember meeting me later?"

she asked curiously as she pulled out a set of what seemed to be small radio recievers of some sort; most of them seemed custom made and, in fact they were, they were all pretty small, the size of a small MP3 player maybe each with a small built in speaker. there were several boxes full of them, maybe 3 hundred of the receivers in total
"Hey Ishtar, would you mind helping me out over the next few days or so? I need to get these handed out to students that are not a head girl or prefect along with some little notes"

Well I wrote it down, so there is a better chance of me meeting you. Ishtar felt embarrassed, this conversation never got any easier for her. Eventually, I will remember meeting you as talk to each other over the course of the week.

Ishtar looked at the little speakers with a confused look. What are these for? They seem to be little speakers? Are they mp3 players?

"Kind of. they're receivers."

She smirked slightly picking one up and moving to her closet. she openned it and gesturedinto it. inside was a rather unique looking device. what it did was anyone's guess if they didn't have Lyndsey to tell them.
"It's a transmitter for a little radio station I do by myself. completely untraceable by any conventional means and by many inconventional means. my mom taught me how to make it."

You run a radio station. Wow, out of your dorm. That is pretty impressive. Ishtar stated at the impressive looking device. You built that. That's amazing. You must be pretty smart to pull this off. Ishtar smiled her new friend was filled with all sorts of surprises.
