Lyndsey nodded to Ryu as they began to walk towards the cliff, she herself enjoyed a bit of a tan, on her face anyway since no other skin really showed. even her hands were in her pockets. at the mention of a nick name she offered a bit of a calm glance to the girl then to herself.
"Well normally I'd knock someone out if they called me this but, Since I'm calling you red because well, you have red eyes and red hair, you can call me Blue. That good with you?"

she asked as she stretched out her arms again, a bit of a habit she had, she hated feeling tense and being at such a strange new school was certainly a tense situation; even more so resisting her usual urges to punch people or throw something explosive at someone pissing her off.

"Nice to meet a girl that seems to have a solid head on her shoulders though rather than a bubble."

Ryu nodded and kept walking as Lyndsay mentioned to knock someone out if someone else would call her 'Blue'. The redhead herself enjoyed some competition, but this one seemed to be even tougher than her which made her a slight uncomfortable feeling, but still it was a chance to say something again.

Who on earth hits girls?

Sounding rather surprised than before, she eventually managed to set up a smile due it had been just another joke, maybe not as good as before but still something she couldn't resist to say. She shook her head and looked forward again so she'd be able to look where she is going instead of walking blind.

Yeah, I am really proud of myself. This place is still kind of difficult, you know? I guess you are pretty strong if you usually complain about stuff you dislike and don't care about others at all, but I guess you should control yourself to make sure you are able to avoid any possible conflict.

Lyndsey just blinked slightly at that scratching the back of her neck a little nervously. she shrugged faintly.
"was kind of a figure of speech but, Nothing wrong with a girl hitting a girl if she's asking for it."

An honest enough feeling she offered with a relaxed smile at Ryu's next comments she had to think for a bit on what she should say next. finally she sighed offering a warm comforting smile and speaking in a bit of a knowing tone.
"That's why I'm here, got in trouble one too many times for knocking a fellow student out. My Dad's a cop you see and he offered me jail, the marines or here to work on my social issues and as he put it 'straighten up and fly right' so hey, He was paying for it so why not get a degree out of it while I become socially adjusted right?"

It sounded perfectly reasonable to her as the pair reached the cliff.
"and I'm at a record for me, three days no one with a broken nose so hey, it's working a bit."

As the pair reached the cliff Ryu began to throw off her blanket and adjusted it to the ground so she'd be able to sit on the ground without any sand slipping in her shorts for different reasons. The redhead gestured to the ground next to her before she sat down in the sun due she tried to avoid the shadow of the cliff after Lyndsay seemed to enjoy the thought of getting some tan.

Please, take a seat.

Ryu used her arms to support her already straightened back as she leaned backwards to get into a position that would allow her to look at the sky but without staring into the sun. She stretched her legs which revealed the whole length of her body and eventually revealed her curves if someone would pay attention to them. At least Lyndsay wouldn't be someone like the others around, it was a comfortable thought to talk to someone more regular.

Hey Blue, what do you do in your leisure time? Guess you won't simply sit in your room and study, right?

Lyndsey just mentally shrugged at the offer of a seat she placed he chair to the side still folded and took off her jacket laying it down behind her so she could lay back without getting sand in her hair.
"Hell of course I study, now and then anyhow."

okay so now and then meant about an hour a week but she didn't need to say that did she.
Seriously though, I mostly read comics and listen to music or I'll find a place to work out or a person to spar with, I like sports but, with nothing but girls around I don't think I'll be doing that all too much, Mostly I play with the guys."

She paused before smirking.
"Cooking and eating is also a bit of a thing of mine."

With that she placed her hat to the side and closed her eyes feeling the warm rays of the sun bathing her face; was really nice actually; she was a bit upset that she couldn't be sitting at home under the sky light in her room naked like she usually did to tan.

Ryu gazed at the water while the student got ready to sunbath, eventually she just didn't bring a swimsuit to do it effective enouh but maybe she just wanted to avoid possible gazes on her body. She was fine with that anyway, so she didn't need to ask or tell her about her thoughts.
Sports... something special or simply everything? I practice everything except the things were I am going to look like a fool or something. The boys and girls thing though is something that doesn't matter to me, competition is competition.

The redhead took off her cap and left her current stance as she decided to lay down as well while her hand which held her cap moved it to her face where it took place and hid most of it except her mouth to keep talking if necessary. She placed her arms on her sides as the sound of the waves which slowly became enslaved by the beach reached her ears.

What kind of music by the way? I prefer Indie Rock or Punk, sometimes Trance or Techno but not too much of course, it just gets boring if you keep listening to all those rhythms and basses. Hell, if you need a god damn cold drink there is none.

She managed to avoid the thought to ask her to go swimming with her, it would only destroy the atmosphere and may insult the girl by the look at how tight the swimsuits were, especially on her body due it would most likely reveal the sides of her chest if someone would look carefully enough.

"Pretty much anything that isn't gymnastics yeah, Oh as for that boys V. girls thing, It might just be because where I'm from. The girls i knew were all cry to their mama sorts they would never be caught dead being Center in a game of tackle football."

she grinned slightly remembering her games and offering a sigh to herself as she kept her eyes closed enjoying the background noise of nature. The thought of music and what she enjoyed brought a smile to her face.
"Almost everything, Hate rap, country and hip hop though. Favorite lately I have to say would be darkwave.

The sound of a crashing wave made her smile brightly. she sat up and glanced to Ryu with a comfortable smile.
"out of most of the sports, have to say I love a good swim. we're at the beach, want to go for one?"
she offered as she sat cross legged on the sand, she had worn her swim suit under her clothes, she couldn't see a reason not to go after all.

Ryu lifted her cap off her face and put it next to her instead. She looked up to the girl next to her and quickly stood up after she mentioned to go for a swim. The redhead wore her swimsuit under her clothes as well due she intended to go to the pool later, but for now the beach would have to do its task. She offered Lyndsay a soft smile when she thought about the idea.

I was about to say the same thing. Sounds good, guess it is time to get rid of that heat and cool ourselves in the water.

Her arms pulled the lower part of her t-shirt upwards and as it passed her head she dropped it to the ground. It revealed her upper body with the pretty tight and presumptuous swimsuit the school seems to provide for every student, as expected a careful gaze could look from the side at the nude upper body of her, but it didn't matter at all.

Damn, I really should have borrowed my own two-piece costume instead of this one. You ready?

She asked while she removed her shorts and it joined her others clothes on the ground next to the blanket. The student removed her shoes and put her hands on her hips before taking a deep breath. Definitely a good day for a swim with perfect conditions, almost no wind, wonderful sunshine and beatiful turquoise and blue, clear water.

Lyndsey nodded softly as she stood already taking off her long sleeved shirt as she did. The garment drifted to the floor showing off the odd top she wore, looked like some artificial sharkskin t-shirt that showed off enough of her midriff and lower back that her tattoo showed as did her flat abdomen. the top looked like it would be waterproof. the odd runes on her arm were also very obvious. She slipped off her boots and socks next leaving bare feet and finally her jeans showing off her bottoms, a tight pair of shorts that matched the top perfectly; probably the closest thing she owned to something feminine was this suit.

she strode to stand beside Ryu with a grin and stretch of her legs and arms before leaning forward and touching her toes.
"Why on earth would you go and wear something like that? Almost doesn't fit you at all."

She offered a bit of a scoff of a laugh at that as she turned to walk backwards towards the water with a bit of a more friendly smirk on her face.

She looked ready for a bit of a work out more than a fun swim but, that was her even when she did want to have fun.

Lyndsay's body seemed indeed quite distinctive, mentioning her quite conspicuous and elaborate body art. Ryu crossed her arms in front of her and looked on her own body as she just made some kind of passive insult about her appearance. She tossed the thought to the side and looked up again.

Ryu said and returned the smirk to the student who walked backwards towards the water as the redhead began to follow her. She seemed to offer her a more friendly face expression now, but after all it was like trying to talk to an unpredictable mind.

Her feet began to break the surface of the water with acceptable temperature, it was quite impressive how it was able to keep it almost the whole year. Ryu turned around and faced Lyndsay again, she wondered what the girl would be able to offer due she stated to love a good swim, but maybe she intended to work out further than she already did.

Temperature is allright. If you don't mind I am going to go further inside if you want to do something before you come in as well.

She said and turned around again as her legs led her further inside the water while it began to soak her swimsuit.

"Quite frankly, It's a better option than going to prison or joining the marines Red."

She was stone cold serious at this remark as she followed Ryu into the water, she stopped when she was roughly shoulder deep. Sighing as she water flowed gently around her figure. She hadn't been trying to insult Ryu, she actually Thought her new acquaintance's figure was quite respectable and admirable.
"Nah, nothing I want to do really. Just swim and chat. So tell me Red, what do you do around this school? Honestly i mean. You can't just be the sort that sits at the beach and sunbathes."

An honest question as she shifted and dove under the water for a few moments before resurfacing; her short hair matted to her head; had she not said she were almost spending a couple years in jail she'd look completely sweet and innocent right now.

Ryu enjoyed the feeling when someone got used to the water temperature around, it was like being surrounded by a different dimension at the same time. She sighed and watched how Lyndsay dived below the surface just before she reappeared and the redhead enjoyed the sight of her almost handsome appearance.

Hah, you're right Blue. Well, actually I tend to practice sports to keep fit or manage to take care of my relationships around. But I guess I spent most time of the day to do some things for myself, everything depends on my situation. I'd say there are no special things I do every day or on occasion.

Of course telling her she'd encounter monsters all the time wouldn't be a good idea, so to avoid any possible awkward situation she decided to say what she usually did. It may sound boring, but what to do if you got nothing to do then to study and meet others?

I am a member of the book club if you want to know the truth, it's not that exciting but if you want to get over the day I'd say it is quite acceptable.

She leaned backwards into the water as her body floated on the surface and her hair seemed to expand on it as it spread with its complete size. Just staring into the sky before she'd actually decide to swim she waited for her response.

"Oh? Nothing special? ehh sounds kinda lame to me but, I guess to each their own, book club might be a good thing to look into some time."

She seemed to have something on her mind as the runes on her arm shimmered faintly red. She swallowed to herself looking up to the sky as she lay on her back floating parallel to the coast for now keeping herself steady on her path.
"I guess I'll just have to keep looking around and find other things for me to do. But, Guess for now swimming and acting will do... Hey tell me Why don't you seem to mind all the slutty girls around and shit?"

A question that had been on her mind for a few moment as she looked to Ryu with a much cooler rational innocent look than one might expect from her. really Lyndsey was a nice girl it was just, she needed to learn to show it; unfortunately here... she wouldn't quite learn to show it; it might be all that was left of her when the monsters were done.

As Lyndsay asked her something no one else around seemed to be interested in her eyes turned in the direction of the student to take a carefull look at her. It may be possible she was just interested in her behaviour and manners or simply wanted to find out more about the monsters thing.

Possibly the fact I just don't care about them at all. I mean, I changed in a way after I arrived here, but not the way all these girls did, they lost their inhibitions and I dislike the thought to be... careless on this island.

After she spoke Ryu turned a little from her currently lying position to be able to face her company better and to set up a gentle smile to make sure she wouldn't appear too disinclined.

Let me say I am pretty unique, not able to describe my thoughts with words if I look at them with my emotions instead of my mind. How about you? Why do seem to be so presumptuous in front of the girls around you called 'slutty' as kind as you are? I guess you can be friendlier if you just try it.

She cocked a brow and glanced to Ryu then. She had to wonder what beyond the clothing made her think the way she did.
"Well, beside the public nudity, indecent and barely covering clothing, the lack of modesty and things like that Media portrayal of college girls, and just knowing humans and being secluded on an island. oh and past experience with women this age... most of them were well... sluts and whores."

The mention of her being able to be kinder if she tried that made her laugh slightly And then again before she'd take a breath.
"Yeah I guess maybe I could be... Never really thought about it. Guess I was a nice girl at one point, then there was school and expectations of girls acting like girl and me being picked on; I just decided to say fuck it all and became a bit of a bitch I guess."

She explained shifting to rest on her front; the tight top she wore showing off nothing except the shape of her rather feminine figure.
"Then came some other things and made it kind of easier for me to be a bitch and a vagtrant and well... yeah."

Things such as the magic and the book that was now part of her as well as her odd ability to charge things, power corrupts very easily after all.
