Please keep using this area for any ooc posts so that the prom forums are just for roleplay.

Re: OOC Questions and chat
Just started wondering how to categorize Ryu's costume. I mean, the area she is going to start in should fit her costume after all. That's all, I guess

Re: OOC Questions and chat
Yeah it could fit several... I guess I'd shade in my opinion towards medieval fantasy with the sword and a vaguely pirate princess look but you could start just about anywhere. Maybe fit in with any plans from a monster or another student you're playing against?
That would go for anyone else who can't fit a definite theme too. Just pick the closest or the one that you prefer.

Re: OOC Questions and chat
This is just a question for the ADD base, and is more for the people playing in it. I just to make sure the "newbie" isn't stepping on anyone's toes, directing the idea of the A.D.D. involvement in the prom. I read the "Prequel" forum and it seemed as if the A.D.D. involvement would have been preplaned due to the sinister nature of that forum. So hopefully I haven't missed the mark completely.

Re: OOC Questions and chat
While the top level of the ADD will know what is planned, the agents won't. They will believe they are responding to an unexpected mass attack on the school by monsters. It works well what you posted though, about how a lot of agents had been recalled and that they figured something must be happening. Just they don't know what, where or when

Re: OOC Questions and chat
Are the monsters going to have a chance to draw a student (or two) before the main attack for a private 'dance' or are we meant to wait for the go ahead and the ensuring free for all?
The idea was raised in the early discussions about the prom and my interpretation was the prom had three stages: 1) was before the open attack and the 'intelligent' monsters could lure a victim away from the main group. 2) was the attack itself 3) was when the ADD shows up.
Is that correct?

Re: OOC Questions and chat
I'd generally assumed that most monsters would be either shapeshifters or they would be such that their natural form would pass as a very good 'fantasy costume'. As such they would pass as the 'boys from the other college'. So they could mingle with the students, chat, have a dance, perhaps cop a feel, and maybe edge their chosen ones towards an appropriate place for the pouncing when it happens.
That's the main rationale behind it being a costumed event.
Obviously once the attack starts, all pretence is dropped and any monsters who felt unable to integrate earlier would come out of hiding to join the fun.

Re: OOC Questions and chat
2 more questions:
1) Is their any problem with a monster acting as if they are in a semi-official role at the boys college (Their version of a Head girl). I figure that it gives a player monster a reason that fits in with their disguise to ward off any other monster that shows an interest in 'their' chosen student/s.
2) Will the inhibitors effect the ADD Agents and SFAs when they come down or not?

Re: OOC Questions and chat
1) Why not... it can add some extra fun to the roleplay to see monsters argue about who gets to go first 2) No reason for the ADD and SFA to forget what happens because they know all about the monsters anyway. Only the students are in ignorance. Any aphrodisiac effects of the punch will affect ADD if they drink it, SFA's optional according to their metabolism.

Re: OOC Questions and chat
By inhibitors I meant the mechanical drop powers down to 10% ones that are scattered around the isle. Not the drugged punch.

Re: OOC Questions and chat
I rather think that's something was added to the roleplay by Niceman or the mods so I stand ready to be corrected but I would say if ADD have powers that mirror those the inhibitors use to make students easier to handle, they would work the same way. SFA's should be able to decide for themselves since they could have abilities or technology not normally available to students and which may not be affected. So it would rely on common sense depending on whether they are playing victim or aggressor, so long as they don't disrupt anyone else's play.

Re: OOC Questions and chat
About the inhibitors and the ADD agents: Since Stormbringer said earlier in this thread that the top level ADD know about what's going to happen and their agents surely know about the inhibitors, the ADD leaders would make sure that the anti-inhibitors given to the agents would be ineffective against the islands inhibitors.
Of course, an agent could have an effective anti-inhibitor. She could have gotten it some time ago. Say when she infiltrated a slave training center and needed one? I suppose it depends on what the players want to do.
Whether an SFA would have an effective anti-inhibitor or not would be up to the players, I think. An SFA might not know about the inhibitors.
Really, I think the effect of the island's inhibitors on ADD agents and an SFA is up to the players involved. The monsters are going to win anyway. And Stormbringer gets to edit the tape he sends to Earth's leaders. Perhaps a fully powered ADD agent or SFA losing to a monster will help drive the point home. And one needn't decide until the time comes. One can always write either "luckily, Angela had remembered to use her anti-inhibitor" or "unfortunately, Angela's anti-inhibitor was defective, just as the leaders of the ADD wished, and Angela's spell was ineffective".
Just my thoughts.

Re: OOC Questions and chat
I'm with that myself. Generally speaking the purpose of joining this roleplay as an ADD agent or SFA is to gain the extra dimensions of new locations and new toys to play with, being able to put up more of a fight against monsters and sometimes to win. But not many of them play to always win, they just like a challenge or variety in the roleplay before losing. Given the circumstances of the prom, it's really not going to matter if a couple of ADD agents arrived fully tooled up and ready for bear. Maybe they can take a couple of monsters down but what can they really do against 20 or more? And if they really get too successful, I'm sure we can arrange some NICEbots to restrain them So it's up to those involved how they want to play that aspect.
