"Actually..."

she paused sighing softly looking around calmly at her dream.

"I usually like the dreams that are more simple, a meadow or a cherry blossom meadow or field... someplace calm to clear my head."

she explained as best she could looking up now to the sky.

"And most people find it creepy really that i can do this heh. usually after they try to seduce me in their dream..."

Pia blushed, cursing her own curiosity and her loose mouth. She stared awkwardly at her own shoes for a few seconds. She could quite easily see why someone would try to seduce someone like Vanessa. "I don't think it is creepy that you are in my dream at all!" Pia said. "In fact, I often have these troublesome dreams, especially after moving here. I feel a lot safer with you around. I don't know if its you keeping me safe, but I feel better!"

She laughed softly at Pia's little bout of awkward embarasment and speech. it was kind of cute in a way.

"Heh well If you can see it I guess I won't have to explain it."

she smirked softly before nodding.

"Why thank you... wait these odd dreams don't tell me they have monsters in them... raping you?"

Pia stared at Vanessa for a few seconds, mouth agape.
"How.. how did you know that?".

Pia had experienced several encounters with the monsters of the island after coming to Shokushu. Some of these had used their powers on her brain as well as her body, wiping her memories or made her unable to talk about it. During her sleep, these memories often stirred.
Even mentioning them where enough to make them resurface.

The dream shifted in response. The music disappeared, but faint grunts and groans could be heard. Faint shapes could be seen, details unclear but obviously threatening.

Pia took a step closer to Vanessa, subconsciously seeking the protection of the stronger woman.
"I dream of it often. Sometimes several times each night", she confessed.

She looked and listened to the dream sighing to herself gently. It was a horrible memory for her as well... that one time she had been raped as her avatar. She took a deep breath brushing her clothing off a little.

"I'm afraid you won't like what I say Pia..."

she told her eyes wandering around as she pulled her a deal closer to herself. She took a breath as Pia was now pressed against her side.

And it seemed that they had managed to get to this woman as well. It seemed unthinkable. She was tall, regal, seemed so.. strong. Yet they had gotten to her as well.

She offered a subtle yet noticable shrug to the woman then just smiled.

she decided smiling happily brushing her lap a little as she leaned over and kissed Pia softly before pulling away and opening a door that appeared out of nowhere.

"Now no following, it gets dangerous for people not like me."

she pulled on a string and pia would feel it tugging at her entire being.
"You can tear that if you move too far from here."

"Yikes!", Pia yelled. "Wow.. that was.. weird!"

Vanessa had just pulled at somthing, some kind of thread or chord maybe, and Pia had felt it in her entire being. Pia had read about astral projecions and near death experiences. Several mentioned some sort of silver chord. Was this it?

"Right! No following. I see..", she said, her curiosity once again peaked. "So I could follow you, but I'd risk breaking it.. Got it! I'll be good and stay here. What would happen if.."
Pia cut herself short.
"I guess I can ask these questions tomorrow, right? I must admit, I am kind of curious about all of this."

"Permanent coma."

she offered in answer to Pia assuming she was going to ask what would happen if it did break she shrugged slightly standing outside the door now eyes wandering her dream.

"Well anyway, sleep well Pia, see you in the waking world..."Hope you aren't surprised how I look in the waking world.

she thought after offering the kind good bye letting the door vanish from pia's dream along with herself.

"Okay.. permanent coma.. Better not risk that.."

Vanessa dissappeared into the door just as Pia said goodbye. The door vanished along with Pia's guest. She had to admit she had wanted to follow her. While Vanessa did not seem to enjoy her special talent very much, Pia was undeniably curious about it.
Even if she was known to let curiousity get the better of her, Pia was not quite the proverbial cat. If she relly met Vanessa later, she might tell more about it.

Pia started out the next day feeling exited about the prospect of meeting Vanessa in the flesh. As the day went on, her exitement gradually gave way to her normal anxiety.
What if I just dreamed it all? What if I knock on the door, and someone else answers?
Still it would be rude not to keep the appointement. It was a very nervous Pia that knocked on the door of room 300.
