Dr. Spencer checked off a few marks on his clipboard. The latest experiment was coming through perfectly. It was even maturing well ahead of schedule. He'd expected it not to be ready for testing until halfway through the next month. Well he wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth. He'd prepared test chamber #421a and arranged to have a student... "volunteered" off the street that very evening. "Samantha," he called. "Is everything ready?"

His assistant nodded. "The girl is locked up in the chamber right now. She should be awakening momentearily."

"Good, good." The doctor flipped a few switches and activated the lights and cameras in the test chamber. The scenes within were revealed to the pair of experimenters on a series of computer screens...

When Lelita woke up, she would be woozy and fuzzy at first. The specially-calibrated drug wore off very quickly though. She was suspended in the center of a large spherical room with metal walls. Lights, all on, and circular doors, all closed, dotted the room all around her.

Lelita's wrists and ankles were locked into metallic manacles, and those manacles were connected by curved extensions to a pole extending to the bottom of the room. They held her in a spread-eagle position and looked like they could shift her as they wished. She was still clothed exactly as she had been when she blacked out on the sidewalk.

For the moment, it was silent.

Lee began to awaken, stirring in her bonds. The bright lights in the room nearly blinded her, and it took her several minutes for her to actually figure out she was indoors, and not still outside as she had been. She tried to remember what she had been doing, the room seemed to be spinning without her, and was making it hard to think.

It was about this time that she realized that there were restraints placed around her wrists and ankles, and that they were holding her above a large pit, thankfully she was still wearing the t-shirt and bluejeans she'd left her dorm in, and no undergarments were missing.

If it had not been immediately apparent that she had awoken, the shrill, ear-piercing shriek that followed shortly after these revelations, surely announced it.

Samantha winced as Lee's shriek rang through the speakers, but Dr. Spencer didn't even flinch. "Ah, she's awake. Excellent." He sat down at the controls and flipped a few switches. "We'll just inform her of the situation, open the hatches and begin the first phase of testing."

"Are you going to remove the subject's clothes, doctor?" Samantha asked him.

Dr. Spencer shook his head. "No, no. That's part of the first phase. It won't have us to look after it once it's released- we have to make sure it can do these things itself. Now then-"

In the test chamber, a low male voice broke the silence, broadcast from a speaker with about the quality of a high school intercom. "Ah, welcome to the laboratory, Miss... Ornthall, yes. We apologize for the trouble, but we needed a subject for our most recent experiment. You will be receiving extra credit for your participation, so let's begin."

The intercom cut off then, and several of the circular hatches opened from below Lelita. Silence again.... but was it the girl's imagination, or was something moving in the shadow behind one hatch?

At this point, many girls would probably have begun to scream in terror, or beg to be set free, for the somewhat twisted experiment taking place to cease; but not Lee. She was a most unusual girl, and while she did feel the first twinges of fear, they were almost immediately drowned out by rage. Rage directed at the person who made her feel the fear.

"Who the hell do you think you are!?!" She shouted."You think you can kidnap me off the campus, bring me here to participate in whatever the hell kind of experiment you are doing here, offer to placate me with extra credit, and I'll just say 'Yessir, Mr. Scientist. Do whatever you'd like with me.' What kind of drugs are you smoking?"

All the while, as she shouted at him, she struggled against the manacles holding her, violently thrashing, trying to break free; never mind that if she did manage to break lose, she'd be dropped down into the pit with whatever was down there.

Unfortunately, Lelita's rage didn't have quite the effect she was probably hoping for. Dr. Spencer seemed... pleased. "Ah, good, good, I was hoping for a specimen like this. The larger the range of emotions we read from her, the better. Now it's just time to sit back and watch...."

No response from the voice. Lee remaind where she was, manacles unmoving no matter how hard she thrashed and struggled. From the hatches below her, something finally emerged. Long tentacles, a deep forest green, with a faint scaly pattern on them. About as thick around as her wrist, with three finger-like extensions on the end. Five of them emerged from the darkness below, slowly reaching up toward her. The first one to reach her brushed against her ankle then began to trail up her calf and around her leg. The second repeated the process on her other leg, gently but firmly wrapping around her limb....

The shriek that pierced the air this time would have almost been a high enough pitch to crack any normal glass, and any leftover rage seemed to have been redirected at the things that now held her legs.

"What the hell?! Let go of me you goddamn freak! She shouted, kicking and bucking even harder now, trying to shake the odd appendages off of her legs.

The manacles kept Lelita's kicking from doing much to help her, and the tentacles crawled up her legs, winding around slowly but unstoppably. Once they got as high as her waist the fingers curled over the waistband of her jeans and just aninch down into her pants. A third tentacle reached her, brushing against the small of her back. It wound around her tummy and curved up, nestling between her breasts and brushing lightly against her neck.

As the tentacles climbed their way up her body, the realization of exactly what this situation was dawned on Lelita. She screamed in earnest this time, and her efforts to break free of her restraints grew even more frantic as one of the tentacles began to slide itself into her pants; as the second continued up her body, sliding under her shirt and came to a stop resting between her breasts.

She screamed again, wrenching her body around furiously, trying to somehow escape the restraints and break free of this hellish nightmare.
