Remebering what exactly had happened after she had gotten onto the plane was difficult, it gave her a bit of a headache to try when she stirred on the plane. She looked about the cabin and noticed that she was the first to wake, Glancing out the window to her right she saw the ocean and the slowly approaching island. it was a surprisingly big island but, given that it was supposed to house so many different amenities to help a student thrive, including stores built into the campus, or so the brochure had said. It was beautiful even from this distance. She said nothing to the girls around her as they began to stir, infact she pretended to continue sleeping just so she wouldn't have to, it was still too soon for her, socializing could wait until she was actually on the ground... outside of dreams she wasn't a fan of flying.
The plane came to a stop near a dock built onto the island Vanessa's heart jumped at the shock of the plane's floats stuck the water. the girl next to her chuckled a little at the frightened looking amazon like girl. Vanessa was also the first to get off and onto dry land. she glanced to the staff who were removing luggage from the plane's storage. The tall lavander haired woman sighed slightly taking a relaxing seat on the grass that was just off of the dock, glad to have nature under her again.
"Oh thank god! Finally solid ground!"
She exclaimed laying back on the grass in her jeans and, relatively tight black shirt, tight enough on her bust that it couldn't be fully buttoned anyway, it was all she had right now, she hadn't gone to get more sensible clothing before she decided to go to school and change herself.
will have to find time to get something less revealing some time...
the thought passed her mind though right now she didn't feel like moving much, just enjoying the fact she wouldn't have to fly or be anywhere high up again for at least several years.
She stared at the blue sky and the few clouds dotting it, it brought a bit of peace to her expression.
"And it's not raining either. Awesome day so far, could only get better."

"Excuse me but are you Vanessa Hemlocke?" Nell stood and peered down at the tall young woman lying in the grass beside the dock. A wind blew off the sea and she raised her hand to keep her long hair from blowing in her face. It was a light shade of brown but in the glistening sunlight it almost looked blonde. She regarded the lavender haired woman for a moment longer and felt quite certain the had the right person. How many 6'4", lavender haired girl could there possibly have been on that plane. She smiled warmly and extended a hand down to the other woman. "I'm one of your new roommates, Nell Apton. The RA sent me to come greet you."

((Sorry it took me so long to reply. A friend came over unexpectedly and I had to visit with them for a while.))

Vanessa glanced at Nell for a moment as she offered her name and why she knew who she was talking to. She Shifted slightly sitting up and taking the girl's hand for a moment to get to her feet before shaking Nell's hand politely.

"Yep, That's me, Little surprised they send people to greet new girls."

It then struck her that nell had said roommates. she cocked a bro slightly at that putting her hands into her pockets.

"Uhm stupid question I know but, when you said roommateS just how many people stay in a dorm here anyway and are the dorms co'ed?"

She still hadn't realized this was an all girl's school, she had thumbed over the part about that in the brochure or had just not read that page; which when it came to vanessa, was far more likely.

Nell smiled again at At Vanessa's surprise, though the smile had a slightly different quality to it this time. "Well, I'm not really sure that it is all the common. When the RA said we were getting a new roommate I sorta volunteered. First days are hard, I should know. I wish I'd had a friendly face to greet me my first day here." As it happened the very first day on the island had been fairly traumatic. Perhaps if someone had been with her she could have avoid all that. She didn't say that though. Not out loud and out in the open. Not on this island. She would warn Vanessa about the island but she'd wait until they were less likely to be over heard.

She helped the other girl up. Vanessa was a lot taller standing up, nearly a whole foot taller than Nell who was a fairly average height at 5'6". She gave the girl a surprised look when she asked about the dorms being co-ed. "You mean you didn't know? Shokushu is and all girls' school. Only men on the island are staff member and..." She paused and looked around cautiously. She shook her head. Later she could explain it all later. She turned to lead the way to the dorm, talking as she went. "Well, anyway. Boys aren't allowed to go to school here. At to how many students live in the dorms... I honestly couldn't say. I haven't even met all my roommates yet. I'm actually just moved into room 300 myself. My first dorm room only had one other girl in it and I never even got to met her so..." She shrugged and continued on walking.

"An All girl's university... how... wonderful."
Vanessa looked a bit bothered by that little bit of information, but she didn't say why and quickly shrugged it off.
"Oh well, Guess that teaches me to read boring things like that better huh?"

she offered a nervous smile to Nell as her mind dwelled on how much more difficult staying out of her old habits would be in this environment. when nell said she'd just moved into their room she placed a hand politely on nell's shoulder.
"Well least we'll both be meeting most of them for the first time whenever we meet them right? won't be half as bad... unless we have jack the ripper for a roomie or something right?"

It was Nell's turn to laugh nervously. "I think the other students will be the least of our concerns." She stopped suddenly and turned to Vanessa looking slightly more serious and grown up for a second. "Vanessa, if you don't mind me asking... Why did you decide to come to this school?"

(Short post I know. I'm kinda sleep is all. I stayed up really late last night. ~.~;; )

Vanessa paused for a moment trying to think of something to say though nothing came to mind she just sighed softly walking quietly toward the path towards the school proper.
"Well... I needed to make a change in my life, decided I didn't like who I was. Had a therapist say i should try college to fix what was wrong give my life a direction and resist temptations so, here I am."
she did her best to be vague about why she came, last thing she needed people knowing was she was a nymphomaniac, a dominatrix and had sent many a former good girl into what most would see as the bad girl industry of pornography.
"Enough about me, what about you Nell?"
she decided not to touch on why the other girls would be the least of their problems, she'd mention it if it was important, she was sure.

"As ridiculous as it sounds I came here to get some freedom and to make friends. Though I guess the last part isn't as ridiculous as the first part. This is the dorm building here." She lead Vanessa up the stairs into the entry hall. "The showers are communal so if you are shy you might wanna wait until they are not busy..." She paused thoughtful and then added. "Though I wouldn't recommend waiting until they are deserted. It's not generally a good idea to go anywhere alone. There are... ummm... some things on this island that definitely were not on the brochure but I'll explain that later. Come on, we are on the third floor" ((OOC: I'm assuming rm 300 is on the third floor at least.))

Nell lead the way up stair to their floor. "Do you have any questions about the school? I've only been here a few weeks but I'll answer whatever questions I can."

"Nothing wrong with wanting freedom, course too much can be pretty damn bad I have to admit from experience."
she commented as she was led into the dorm building. the mention of the only showers being communal sent a mental shiver through her. it seemed to her fate was conspiring to do everything in it's power to make this difficult for her.
She followed Neel up to the third floor as she thought about questions about the school.
"Well I have one right now, what's the uniform like? They didn't have any good pictures of it in the brochure I got."
she wanted to get the simple stuff out of the way first and foremost.

"Oh, I didn't mean that freedom was a ridiculous desire... Just that coming to Shokushu to try and obtain is was a bad idea. This is us!" She stopped in front of the door to room 300 and in her best impersonation of Vanna White she opened the door to reveal what was inside. She smiled brightly and waved the other girl inside. "Welcome home, Vanessa!"

She let the other girl in ahead of her and closed and locked the door behind them. She didn't leave doors open and unlocked anymore. It wouldn't really stop a determined monster but she at least be alerted by them breaking the door in and have a chance to make a daring escape down the drain pipe outside the window. Vanessa asked about the uniforms and Nell considered how to answer as she cross to sit on her own bed. "Too short and too flimsy. You might wanna invest in a spare or two if you aren't very skilled at mending your own clothes. I've already had to replace one."

Vanessa slipped into the room looking over the interesting set up not quite willing yet to take a seat. more nervous than anything else. she placed a hand over her mouth in thought. this was turning out worse and worse every few moments and it seemed she was stuck here; and it was a good school supposedly.
"Well I can't sew worth a damn... the acceptance letter said my uniforms would be ready after a week from arrival due to unique measurements so at least I don't have to worry much about uniforms
She smiled faintly glancing around the room still before finally finding a place to take a seat. it seemed comfortable enough a place.
"Seems like a nice school, was a really beautiful island from a distance too. know any girls I should avoid?"
She maintained a gentle tone, she knew it would do no good to have a room mate that hated her anyway.

"Oh yes, I can imagine finding clothes to find your unique body type might be difficult." Nell regarded her tall and busty roommate. She had thought before coming to that her own breast were quite large but then compared to Vanessa she was practically average. "It much be quite annoying actually. Do you have to get all your clothes custom made?"

When Vanessa started talking about the island again and how nice it seemed Nell couldn't help but frown. She felt it was finally time to warn the new girl about the island's other inhabitants. "There aren't any girls that I know of but there are other things here that you'll want to avoid." She paused thoughtfully for a moment and tried to explain it so the other girl would believe her. "Vanessa, how much do you know about magic and other worlds?"

Vanessa laughed slightly at the mention of having her clothes custom made shaking her head a little.
"Nah, there are stores for that sort of stuff, just like those big and tall men's stores... and of course drag queen stores sell stuff in my size, they don't mind really big women shopping there. only thing that I get custom is the bras. then there's the net."
she explained to her room mate simply.
the next thing Nell said forced a bit of a scowl to her face. She was silent for several moments before sighing to herself and looking to her hand placing it on Nell's shoulder, it began to quickly feel like a bag of ice cubes had been placed there. she snapped her fingers on the opposite hand and a small spark of flame lit and dissipated in an instant.
"I can also walk around dreams... and unfortunately I do know humans aren't alone because of dreams, the astral plane crossing every inch of the universe and can be traversed in seconds."
she explained assuming this girl knew something about dream walkers and the humans with the golden eyes and that was what she was talking about.

Nell glanced at the hand on her shoulder bemusedly and then shivered as it became like ice. She heard Vanessa snap and her eyes instantly turn in the direction of the sound in time to see a small flame appear and then fade. She gasped and jumped to her feet, suddenly excited. "Oh Vanessa, that's amazing!! I'm so insanely jealous!" And then she was off talking a mile a minute. "I'm read all sorts of books on magic and magic users and the like but I've never actually met anyone who could do any. I tried to do some myself before but apparently I don't have the gift. But you can do both pyro-kinesis and tempro-kinesis, that's phenomenal!! Oh, I've read a bit about astral projection to but I've never tried that. What it is like? Is it..."

Nell stopped suddenly, realizing she was getting carried away. She took a deep calming breath and started again at one half the speed. It was clearly an effort for her. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to geek out on you, Vanessa. I just got over excited." She smiled quickly and then went back to being gravely serious. "If you know that humans aren't alone in the universe then you should also know that we aren't even alone on the planet. Vanessa there are monsters on this island. Terrible, terrible monsters. They attack people. They attack student! And they do things..." She shook her head and couldn't finish.

the lavender haired dream walker just smiled to Nell as she rambled on about how amazing vanessa's little tricks were. when Nell had finally slowed down for several moments she simply sighed.
"Well for me astral walking is pretty cool except well... I don't dream... kind of from this really old native american tribe called the dream walkers, they sort of vanished a long long time ago when they blended with all the other tribes. Kinda thought you were talking about us not monsters and aliens."

She listened a little more nodding slightly.
"Yeah not all of the creatures out there i've seen are friendly... even in their dreams they're horrible violent things..."
of course she'd never seen them in reality or rape in their dreams, she didn't know some creatures raped human like species.
