Post In for a Scolding (For Vera)
Kirsty returned to the dormitories that night feeling tired and annoyed. It was her first week at school and she had already gotten in trouble for falling asleep in class. It wasn't her fault really. It was the weird dreams she'd been having since coming here. They were throwing off her sleep cycle. She didn't realize how bad it was until today though. It had been so embarrassing to get caught sleeping in class. She hated being scolded like a child in front of the whole class.

"Stupid, uptight blow-hard..." She muttered, thinking of her pissed off professor. Seriously, it wasn't like she'd meant to do it. Couldn't the guy cut her some slack. It was only her first week here after all. The man actually threatened her with detention. This wasn't high school anymore. What kind of college actually had detention for its students? In the end she'd gotten off with a stern warning and a message to report to her Head Girl for a lesson of school policies and procedures. Right, like getting scolded by a peer would be easier to swallow than hearing it from an instructor. She sighed wearily and dropped her bag off in her room.

A note had been pushed under her door with a neatly written message from the Head Girl saying to meet her in the common room as soon as she got in. She groaned, apparently her professor hadn't even trusted her to report to the Head Girl on her own and had messaged her himself about the incident today. She pocketed the note and turned around to head out again. Best get this over with. She locked her dorm room door behind her and headed to the common room to meet Vera.

Post Re: In for a Scolding (For Vera)
Vera was contacted by one of the more stricter professors. It was troublesome as it usually added more work to the Head Girl's usually full plate. But, this was part of her duties and she would see to this student's correction.

The student in question was a Kirsty Barker. The student was rather inattentive in class and her recent violation was sleeping during a lecture. It was Kirsty's first week of class and already the woman was showing a pattern of behavior that warranted Vera's attention. Even if the professor did not ask for her directly, this matter would have shown up on Kirsty's records eventually.

Vera was sitting on the back of the couch in the common room. Usually, she did not go out of her way to go the dorms. But, it was on the way. Whether this would require a change of scenery would be up to Kirsty herself unfortunately.

Kirsty entered the room to find a tall student wearing a well kept uniform. Long silver hair trailed down the woman's back. Besides the exotic hair, the other strange item was the light blue sash that hung around the woman's waist, the symbol of a Head Girl. "Ms. Barker," Vera called, "It is good you did not keep me waiting. Do you know why you were called here?"

Kirsty stepped into the common room to find it mostly deserted aside from a silver haired woman with a tell-tale blue sash at her waist, signifying that she was the Head Girl. Her uniform was pristine, making Kirsty suddenly self-conscious. Her own uniform was rather rumpled around a long day of classes and she'd already removed her tie and unbuttoned her collar. All acceptable for being in the dormitories but still made her feel like a sloven next to Vera.

She sighed in answer to Vera's question, trying not to make it some disrespectful but she was still feeling rather chafed about having to do this. She wasn't defiant by nature but she objected to being treated like a child. She straightened and answered as cool and rationally as she could. "Yes, I do. I fell asleep in Professor Coffman's History lecture. I'm still adjusting to things here and it caused me to have a restless night yesterday. I know that's not a very good excuse but that's what happened. I did apologize." Even if she thought it was silly. She switched to a more regretful tone. "I truly did mean for it to happen. It'll be the last time, I swear."

Post Re: In for a Scolding (For Vera)
Kirsty's disheveled appearance did not escape the Head Girl's notice. Her eyes narrowed slightly. "Ms. Barker," Vera began, "Do you think first impressions are important?" She would allow the student to answer before continuing. "Do you think your attire suits this meeting? You already claim to know why you are here and yet you come with your blouse undone and no tie. How do you hope for anyone to take you seriously when you paint yourself like this?"

"You say you did not mean to go to sleep but what did you really do to prevent that from happening?" Vera continued, "You said you were adjusting but did you make any effort to ensure you get some sleep? Did you make an effort to stay awake? Did you excuse yourself so you could freshen up in the restroom? This all happening on your first week here is setting the tone of how your professors and how I see you right now. This school takes great pride in its ability to maintain discipline. It is what makes students here exceed those from other schools."

Vera's voice never rose, speaking calmly as she revealed Kirsty's flaws. She had stood up, her arms still crossed as she looked the student right in the eyes.

Kirsty bristled at being upbraided not only about her behavior but also about her dress. She lifted her chin to answer the last accusation first, this time not attempting to keep the defiance from her tone. "My dress is perfectly acceptable for meeting a fellow student in the dormitories. You summoned me to the common room, not professor's office. I normally would have changed into something more comfortable after returning to my room after a day at classes. I did not do that today because I thought it would be rude to keep you waiting."

She didn't falter from her obstinate stance when the taller girl stood up to berate her but met her gaze defiantly. "As to the other thing, I'm already given you my explanation and I'm not going to repeat myself. I did go to bed at a perfectly reasonable time, knowing a had classes the next day. I simply did not get a very restive sleep." She wasn't about to tell her about the weird dreams she'd been having. Kirsty had no idea that Aegir had been the real reason she hadn't gotten any decent sleep the night before. The monster had been fucking with her for two days and altering her memories so she didn't remember it. "This meeting is pointless. I've already been lectured about this from Mr. Coffman. In front of my entire class, no less. I don't see why I should have to go through that again. It was a first offense and it won't happen again." Yeah, next time she found herself that exhausted she'd just take a sick day. This wasn't worth it. "Now, are we finished?"

That might have been pushing it but she was pissed. She was being dressed down be uppity bitch who seriously could not be much older than her. Just because she could magically keep her clothes from getting wrinkled for 8 hours didn't mean she was somehow more responsible than she was. She'd fucked up one time and she'd already paid for that. She missed the whole damn lecture and now she was going to have to learn all that shit she'd missed on her own if she didn't want her grades to suffer. This level of reprimand was ridiculous. She felt like she was back in grade school.

"You were summoned by a Head Girl," Vera corrected, "Not your best friend. The reason we are meeting here is because it was more convenient for both of us. It seems that a change of rooms is now necessary. And no, Ms. Barker, we are far from finished. You decided that yourself the moment you thought you were above a Head Girl and this school."

The silver haired woman walked past Kirsty and towards the door. "Follow me, Ms. Barker," Vera ordered sternly. If Kirsty did not know how the Head Girl system worked in Shokushu, she was about to get a very thorough lecture of just where this student stood on the totem pole.

Vera would not let Kirsty stop by her room. Instead, Kirsty would find herself walking in public with her disheveled uniform. What few students she saw noticed her following the Head Girl and immediately looked away. The two eventually entered one of the buildings on campus and Vera proceeded to unlock the door leading to the basement.

Yep, she'd definitely gone too far. She rolled her eyes as she turned to follow the other girl. Guess she was going to find out what detention in college was like after all. Oh well, in for a penny in for a pound. "Guess I hit a nerve with that last one, huh?" She remarked casually as she trailed after Vera's retreating back. If she thought to shame her by parading through the school in a less than pristine uniform then she was sorely mistaken. Kirsty was an actress and thus had very little shame. She smiled and winked at those student brave enough to look.

"Jeez, I really must have picked the wrong college to enroll in..." She muttered as another student looked away from her as though shocked by seeing her being led off by the prissy Head Girl. "Everyone here is so strict and uptight." She commented. It must really be bad if she was being treated like a rebel. She sighed, maybe it wasn't too late to transfer to her safety school. She'd see how bad this detention thing ended up being before she decided that.

After a little while she began to wonder why they weren't there by now. "Hey, where are we going anyway?" She had thought Vera was going to take her to an official office or something but she seemed to be leading her down to a basement level of the school. Was she planning to hand her over to the Janitor to help clean toilets or something?

Post Re: In for a Scolding (For Vera)
Kirsty's behavior as she was escorted to the basement only earned her crazy looks. Ignorance provided at least some moments of bliss for the time being. Vera was going to bring this new student back to reality very quickly.

What the student thought was strict, Vera considered very simple. Attend class and do not break the rules. It was impressive how some found this to be difficult. It was not just that though. Students who are called on their misbehavior then decide to make excuses and make disrespectful motions as if it was Vera's fault that they messed up. If she was back home with her company, she would have fired someone like this immediately.

Vera said nothing as she unlocked the door and led Kirsty down the stairs. The mood changed dramatically as they entered the long concrete hallways. What little light was available consisted of flickering bulbs on the edge of their lifespan. Vera led the way, showing no hesitation towards the shifting shadows and pitch black voids that could be hiding anything.

There were multiple rooms lining the hallways. Each were labeled with a room number though most of the plates were worn down, making it hard to read majority of them. The Head Girl soon stopped before a door and opened it. It creaked as it swung open. "Ms. Barker..." she called, waiting for the student to enter before following and locking the door behind them.

The room had only a single light bulb illuminating the center of the room. Beyond that was darkness, revealing nothing that may be waiting in this room. "I trust, I have your undivided attention now?" Vera asked, "Will you please recite what rules you have violated so far?"

Post Re: In for a Scolding (For Vera)
It was only when Vera started leading her down the dismal basement hallway that she began to grow wary of the end result. This wasn't a maintenance hallway. It looked more like a prison hallway. There were no sounds save for the flickering of light bulbs and their footfalls. When Vera opened the door to a dimly lit room that looked suspiciously like an interrogation room she hesitated before going inside. This must be a scare tactic, it wasn't like the Head Girl would actually torture her or anything.

She stepped into the room and into the limited circle of light. She looked around, straining to see beyond the darkness around them. Vera spoke up now. Demanding she recite her crimes like a child. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes again as she turned back to face the other girl. "Hmm... Alright, it's not like it's a long list. I fell asleep in class and spoke disrespectfully to the school appointed Head Girl." She still wasn't counting being out of uniform. That might have been failure of etiquette but she hadn't broken any school rules in doing that. Unless she was counting their trek through the school but she was only out of uniform then because Vera wouldn't stop to let her change.

She didn't add any further transgressions by making further rude comments. Instead she waited to see if Vera would add to her list. She was certain there were a few other rules the Head Girl thought she had broken and she was somewhat curious to hear what they were.

"There is more than just speaking that was disrespectful, Ms. Barker," Vera corrected, "Much in the way we communicate is through gestures and our posture. Rolling your eyes, shrugging your shoulders, these gestures were done with the intent to insult the very person who is trying to help you. There is also your uniform. Meeting with a Head Girl is just like meeting someone in a classroom or meeting with a member of the staff. It was highly inappropriate and showed just how little you care about the rules and structure of this school. That will not be tolerated."

"The moment I pointed out your violations and mentioned the expectations of this school, you became defensive and attempted to bring me down to your level," Vera stated, "As a Head Girl, it is my responsibility to maintain order here in Shokushu. Failing to do that will cause the staff and the Headmasters to get involved. They are busy men and far less forgiving than I am when it comes to these matters."

"Now, lets deal with the obvious offender first," Vera stated, "Take off your uniform, Ms. Barker. Neatly fold it and place it on the floor at the edge of the light." Did this woman just tell another student to take off all her clothes? Strict was an understatement.

She would have objected to Vera's charges if she had not been brought us short by the sentence. She blinked bemusedly, not quite believing what she had just heard. "I'm... sorry. You want me to what?!" Did she actually expect her to disprove as part of her punishment? This wasn't some sorority house hazing. This was an official school related reprimand. She couldn't be allowed to do that.

"There are only a few things that truly annoy me, Ms. Barker," Vera replied, "Repeating myself is one of those things. But as you are a new student, I will say this one more time. Take off your uniform." Would Kirsty obey and follow directions or was the growing pile of violations grow a bit more? Vera could explain some of the purpose behind this but saw no reason to for a girl who barely listened in the first place. Only when this new student learns her place and how she should behave around a Head Girl would Vera consider explaining things further.

Post Re: In for a Scolding (For Vera)
Kirsty narrowed her eyes on the other girl, biting off another rude comeback before it could escape her lips. This chick was clearly on a power trip. She must have really pissed her off by belittling her Head Girl status. She considered telling Vera to go fuck herself but she decided against it. The woman was clearly trying to make her uncomfortable. If she thought making her strip would do that then she had another thing coming.

Kirsty shrugged and straightened, more of that respectful posturing Vera had accused her of. "Alright then, fine. I just wanted to make sure I heard you right." She moved to start unbuttoning her blouse before slipping out of it and letting it drop to the floor. Then she removed her skirt, unzipping the side and letting it slide to the floor to join the blouse. She stood now in lacy panties and a bra that were regulation white except for little black box accents (example).

She stared down at her clothes on the floor and considered leaving them piled there out of spite. But she decided against it. Vera already thought she was a slop. She wasn't going to continue to reiterate that belief. She picked up her uniform and folded it extra neatly just to prove she could and place it where instructed. Then she turned back to Vera, unembarrassed even though she was standing there in her underwear. "There, the offensive uniform is off now. Next issue, mistress?" She didn't know the proper address for Head Girl or she'd have used that. She was clearly still being sarcastic though so mistress worked just as well.

"You are not my slave," Vera corrected, "Ms. Matsumoto will suffice. And no, your uniform is not off. Undergarments are also part of the uniform. Yours is also not standard issue, another uniform violation."

If Vera was angry or annoyed, she certainly was not revealing that. The woman's voice was calm, calculated. She also already told Kirsty what truly annoyed her and belittling her position was oddly not one of them. "If you have time to mock me, you have time to consider your situation and how to better improve yourself so you do not have to come down here a second time, Ms. Barker."

She waited until the student was completely nude before continuing. If this was a power trip, Vera was showing no pleasure about any of this. Kirsty was certainly attractive but Vera looked the woman straight in the eyes.

"Uniform violations, sleeping in class, and multiple counts of disrespecting a Head Girl," Vera repeated, "Would you like to try to explain why following these rules is important? If you wish to make an argument saying otherwise, now is your chance."

Post Re: In for a Scolding (For Vera)
Kirsty frowned but did not complain at all this time. She just gave a terse nod and said, "Yes, Ms. Matsumoto," before striping out of her bra and panties as well. Again she did not seem to be shamed or embarrassed by being naked in front of another woman. It might have been different had she been a man but not by much. Kirsty was an actress and used to dressing and undressing in front of other actors. Of course, they usually made it a point of not staring either.

Vera wasn't staring either so Kirsty had no reason to presume this was anything more than a punishment. She was still disgusted by it. Surely the Head Girl was over stepping her authority. Kirsty was still in the dark about the school's true purpose and thus could only assume Vera was being a fucking hypocrite and breaking a dozen school conduct rules herself by ordering her to strip. Surely hazing was against school policies.

The other woman asked her about the purpose of the rules and Kirsty actually stopped to consider the question. She thought back to the student handbook she'd been given on her first day and tried to remember the exact wording. "The uniform policies are presumably in place because the school wants to encourage self discipline and engender an awareness of ones outward appearance. They trying to educate us for success and a part of professionalism is an attention to the image to present to others. Moreover, when we are wearing our uniforms we are representatives of the school. If the school were to host any outside guests they would want the student body to reflect their values, including its professionalism and pride in its appearance,"

"The rules against sleeping in class are even more self evident. Obviously, if a student is not alert and attentive in classes then it will hurt their standing academically. The school wants its students to succeed so does not want them sleeping in their classes..." She paused to meet Vera's gaze more directly as the next bit applied to her. "Respecting the Head Girl is important because she is the school appointed liaison between the school faculty and student. She is elected by the school officials to be a role model for her fellow students as she exemplifies all the qualities they wish to see in their students. She is more than a peer as she has been given authority by the school to speak for them and is due all the respect that authority gives her."

She could have said more but she kept anything Vera might see as more "disrespect" to herself. This meeting had made it clear to her that Vera was not a worthy representative a the student body if this was how she dealt with first time offenders. Maybe she was different around teachers and that's why she'd been appointed as Head Girl. Or maybe the power had gone to her head and she used it as an excuse to play out her little "Mean Girls" games with her fellow students. Whichever it was, Kirsty was not impressed. She repressed the urge to say anything though, not intending to give Vera anymore fuel against her.
