"A ranger has been shot shooter at large. Call on cell if able to Pierce Co Sheriff."

A helicopter, unable to land, tried to give campers on Mt Rainier a warning via loudspeaker. With the campers unable to hear the garbled message, the pilot dropped a message written on a handy coffee cup. No signal for their cells meant instructions written on another cup with the helicopter following campers to their car.
