Alucard makes its move. The king advances into what will surely become definite danger. Alucard maintains a "poker face" now, not allowing its facial features to reveal its intent.

Monique raises a brow seeing the king moving into a danger area, she brings her other knight up, to keep the king from moving about to much, as she readies to check mate it with the queen next turn

Alucard moved the king one more time. The alien looked at the board intently, its finger still on the piece. Confident, it removed the finger and leaned back.

Monique actually grins for the first time since the beast showed itself, she moves her queen, easily putting his king into Check and Mate.

"Ha! Checkmate, I win! Now get out of here."

She looks at the beast.

"Not quite," Alucard observed. It moved its queen to block Monique's queen's path to Alucard's king. To put Alucard's king in check again, she'd have to take the black queen.

Monique blinks and looks at the board..she then brings her bishop down so the next move it can take the queen, since he can't move the queen without putting the king back into check.

Alucard moved its king again, appreciating Monique's ability in chess. Now it was on a different color from Monique's bishop, preventing her from using it to put the alien in check.

"Where'd you learn chess, dinner?" Alucard asked.

Monique frowned as he moved the king, but she still sacrifices her bishop to take that queen of his.

She glances as the thing asks.."Why would you care..your just wanting to eat me..you said so yourself."

The room tempature has gone up, making the dark girl sweet a little, that chocolate skin glistening a bit to his gaze.

Alucard grinned. "True that. I do just want to eat you." It deliberately moved another piece into the line of fire of another of Monique's pieces.

Monique takes that piece as he sets it up, moving her bishop to do it, and once more striking Check on his King.

(You can take the piece, dear, but it doesn't put the king in check. Weren't you paying attention to when I moved the king onto a different color? Or did you mean your other bishop?)

Alucard smiled at her and moved another piece into the way of Monique's bishop.

She bites her lip and frowns some, seems every move she did he already had a counter. So now she brings one of her rooks out stopping it right behind her own pawn.

(That's a nice thought... maybe I will...)

Alucard's face grew serious again. It moved a pawn forward, making another link in its pawn wall.

Monique looks at the board and that 'pawn wall' that he is forming. She gets a slight idea, moving her queen to reinforce her rook, that is lined up with the pawn in the very back of his 'wall'

Alucard watched her move suspiciously. The alien moved its rook forward, and then smiled.
