Not sure how much I will use her but had the idea and she fit together rapidly (although typing it all wasn't so quick!) - So I submit her for your approval! - Created for something rather different - a human that is a little more at home in the space lanes than normal

Thought she might offer a change for those that want it!

She can be found anywhere on the spacelanes and in the arenas depending on who "owns" her at any one point (although of course never in shokushu).

Distinguishing features: Beyond the few slave-marks she has gained and her unusual voice she is starting to become recoginised from her face alone. Her showings in the arena and the stories that abound are still few, but are slowly growing in the telling.

Language:
English, and a massive amount of phrases and commands in a wide array of languages. Although sometimes her knowledge of what those phrases are aren't correct. She speaks with an odd accent, no doubt picked up by her wide association with other races which gives her words an odd vibrancy. If you listen closely it’s almost as if she was speaking as a duet. (It’s actually caused by her body trying to adapt to space travel so much when still growing - her vocal cords vibrate at a completely different pitch than other humans, causing her words to echo even as they are produced).

Magic?:
None whatsoever! Although some say that her pure strength and speed while fighting is inhuman and must be based on magic.

Equipment:
Varies hugely depending on where and how she finds herself. The only item that that she always has is a small silver hair-clasp silver that she keeps her hair tied back with, a gift from Kricis. The clasp actually contains a small homing beacon but the key to activating it died with Kricis. Romily is unaware of any of this, believing it to be a treasured gift only. Plus it’s shiny!

Ship/Vehicle:
Whatever she finds herself on this time! As for ownership - nothing. Sometimes she doesn't even own the clothes on her back. She has limited piloting experience, enough that she could MAYBE land a craft in nice weather. She can however navigate well, which helps her travel.

Weapons of choice:
Fists, Fingers and Feet! If handed another weapon she will likely attempt to use it out of her odd belief that its all a game, as the rules of the game should be abided with - but she isn't stupid and will revert to what she knows best if things are going badly.

Fighting style:
Hand to hand with no weapons at all (see capabilities). Her style seems to be "whatever works" taken from what she is physically able to do with a human body structure. At one point it could be graceful dances, each movement looking like it was from ballet as she slips punches, snaps limbs and isn't touched by anything and the next moment brutal strikes with no finesse at all, simply battering her opponent into submission even as she takes a returning pounding. It’s all in her mood and the game!

Motivation for fighting:
She loves it! Loves the crowds roar, loves the attention, loves the winning and losing pretty much equally and she loves the rewards too! She would probably do it full time if she didn't keep getting distracted and doing other things.

Capabilities:
Incredibly dangerous in close hand to hand combat. Fast, accurate, strong and well versed with all forms of hand to hand combat. In addition she can learn combat techniques quite literally on the fly in combat, only needing to see the movement a couple of times before she can replicate it. Fast on her feet and is regarded as experienced in the gladiatrix rankings, being held back from advancement by her tendency to never stay in the same place and her lack of anything other than her close quarters ability.

In addition the drugs that were given on the high-gee planet enabled her to continue growing even with the crushing gravity. They caused her muscles and flesh to gain incredible density, meaning she can punch with enough force to dent solid steel and her skin now acts similar to earth-Kevlar - still soft and supple but is resistant to impacts and cutting (although a focused stab will go straight though). Finally she heals rapidly, her quickened metabolism causing injuries to heal at many times human norm.

They did have some bad side effects however. Romily is completely sterile and will never know what it is to be a mother. Her life expectancy has also been dramatically reduced and she will almost certainly be dead before she is 40 as her organs fail. In addition the cocktails of drugs altered her mental growth and have effectively kept her mind as childlike as it is.

Weaknesses:
Due to her lack of higher learning she relatively easy to distract or blindside by something unexpected (although in combat terms she'll see most combat based tricks coming a mile away). She's very open to suggestion as she never learnt guile and tends to believe what she is told unless it’s pretty damn obvious its a lie. She holds no special resistances to chemicals or aphrodisiacs (and if you managed to explain what an aphrodisiac actually is to her she would probably ask for it!).

Additionally, she is reluctant to cause any permanant injuries and fights for pleasure as well as her "partners" - Thus she doesn't want to cause any death because how could she dance with them again at a later point? This causes her to not take advantage of some opportunities that she should do. This is only made more resolute in her mind by the simple fact that she sees killing as wrong. Even people that make horrific mistakes - if they are dead how can they correct them? Thus she will kill, but only in extreme circumstances (to save her own life for instance)

She is also a completely useless shot with any gun/ranged weapon and is has no aptitude at all for anything that isn't part of her own body. She is still dangerous with a weapon but she simply cannot "see" the fight as she can with her fists - she finds it incredibly difficult to even complete a basic counter. This is made worse by the fact that if given a weapon she will attempt to use it, as she believes its fair to use what she is given, seeing it as simply obeying the rules, only discarding the weapon if she /has/ to, or she sees the other cheating (i.e shifting his own weaponry, or doing something that she sees as an trick (In her mind, this is a simple rule change and still part of the game)

Finally, despite her greatly enhanced strength and durability, she is still human and her bones can still break, she still gets tired and still needs food (vast quantities please! - she also has a sweet tooth!)


Psychological Profile:
Due to her "kidnap" at such a young age she regards all the strangeness about her as perfectly normal. For her seeing a new monster isn't something to be feared like most humans would react, but instead she treats any new creature as she would meeting a fellow human.

In some ways she is still a child, seeing everything with a smile and a wave and even the incredibly strange and horrible things out there are something to be marveled at rather than feared. That isn't to say she has the mind of a child - she can reason, believe and think just like any other human but the way she bounces back and her simplistic way of thinking is easiest to describe as childlike.

If a human psychologist got hold of her she would be branded mentally damaged and scarred and would probably be sectioned. However this would be doing her a great disservice. While the drugs have robbed her of her ability to look to the future like many humans and her life has given her a unique view on the world, she is happy. She loves life and goes from day to day smiling and trying her best, no real thoughts of the future or the past - just of the day and how she can make people smile.

Another quirk is that she believes that sex is something to be enjoyed, never feared. If she loses (and she actually doesn't always, even in rigged games!) she will happily submit to whoever beat, in her eyes the resulting sex a reward for whoever beat her. Conversely though, she actually expects the same from who she beats. This has earnt her a few enemies that would love nothing better to kill her in horrible ways from the humiliation of being beaten and raped by a female. The crowds however flock to see her fight, as they love the novelty in case she does win.

For her, sex is something to be enjoyed be it giving or receiving and she approaches it with the carefree attitude that covers everything else that she does.

As for her family, her real dad is a distant memory, albeit a fond one. And her sister... She still thinks of her often and hopes she is doing well. One day she hopes that she will run across her and they will catch up like sisters should. In the meantime she assumes that she is doing fine and they will meet soon enough. She still mourns Kricis' death which is another reason why she dislikes killing and will avoid it where possible.

Personality:
Carefree, easygoing and truly believes that everyone has a good side. Even horrific things have a silver lining, or, in the worst cases they are something that needs to be "fixed". In many ways she is still a child, seeing everything with a smile and a wave and even the incredibly strange and horrible things our there are something to be marveled at rather than feared. The few times she gets down she'll spend a little while moping about until something distracts her and she'll be off again, normally forgetting whatever it was that upset her in the first place. She almost has a compulsive need to help people and she will wherever possible.

Likes:
Fighting, sex, seeing new people and places.

Activities:
going wherever she is going!

Miscellaneous:
Its unknown if someone or something is looking after her, she is really lucky or possibly really UNlucky! She seems to get out of terrible situations unscratched or somehow finds someone to heal her the few times she suffered serious injury. Wherever she goes she finds people that are willing to help her (even if it’s for their own purposes, she never sees or even thinks that). That said she never stays in one place. She's been stranded on uncharted planets but rescued. She's been a slave but her owners never seem to keep her long for various reasons (being killed seems to be an oft repeated one!). Whenever something bad happens for some reason the universe also throws her a way to get out of it.

She doesn't realise this and believes EVERYONE does the same thing. She never seems to understand people that "get stuck" or even "are unhappy with their lives". Such concepts are foreign to her, and thus she believes that everyone that she encounters are doing what they do out of choice and quite probably enjoying themselves as much as she is.

Romily has had a short but busy life. From a young age she has been in the spacelanes, first brought up by a slave-trader named Kricis who loved her dearly, bringing her up as his own adopted daughter, teaching her about space. Youth being youth she picked up a lot of how the universe works. Kircis himself was later killed in an assult on his liner and Romily found herself taking captive and trained as a gladiatrix on a high-gee world.

Rather unusually she wasn't used in the rigged games like most other females but was actually trained to fight and win. This was possibly due to her young age, but far more likely it was just a novelty that could be used to gain power, money and infulence. Despite the hard training she grew fast and strong, although again, events out of her control conspired to move her and she found herself on a ships that began a pirates career. She didn't last long on such a career (She's naturally good-willed) and this time she found herself stranded on a planet far from habitation.

Eventually she was rescued and she found herself back in the arenas, although this time without the protection offered. As a result she learnt what it REALLY was to be a gladiatrix. Her next fight however turned out rather differently in that rather than losing the rigged fight, she won. But pumped so full of drugs she actually raped (much to their shame) the demi-human she was fighting.

Since then she has moved around a lot since, and despite her having no owner she is actually welcome to arena's across the universe as a complete novelty. She always brings in heavy betting!

Well your much abridged version I think will work fine and probably will be easiest to work with. Not that there is much to worry about beyond the constant fighting and rape XD.

Your weaknesses are numerous but almost all are very situational. But I suppose its not a big deal. Enjoy your time in the arena.
