Post Re: Tales of Corundus - A Chance Encounter (Anne Deas)
Even though she was laid back down, Anne wasn't relaxing and was ready to move if she felt something else touching her. When she first felt the touch on her leg she rose sharply attempting to draw her legs back - and was stopped.

A sharp stab of panic shot through her and she kicked off with her legs trying to free them from the rapidly moving crystal. She only partly succeeded by freeing one leg, pulling off her shoe and sock (and being faintly glad she hadn't stopped to do up the shoelace!). As she did she twisted as she pulled free so she was on her hands and knees. Using her free leg she kicked hard against the crystal holding her leg but it wouldn't give.

Starting to panic Anne stopped and spoke firmly to her pulse. She was in no danger she said to herself, there was nothing here aside the sun and she can free her leg if she could just think straight.

Though it had expected some resistance, Corundus was taken aback by the creature's energetic response to its snare attempt. The frantic kicking had done no damage to the crystal entity, nor did it really hurt, but it was undesirable. For a moment, Corundus considered simply letting the creature go . . . but the feeling of heat flowing from her extremities -even stronger than before - quickly overruled such thoughts.

If fact, the soft warmth of the creature's hands pressed against Corundus' surface captured its attention so completely that it momentarily forgot about trying to secure her legs. Without thinking, it formed mirror-image crystal approximations of those hands, pressing palm up against them.

The shock of seeing two hands push up towards her stopped Anne in her tracks. It looked like there was someone IN the crystal stone and was pushing out even as she pushed against it. It was amazing. Enthralling! She had never seen anything like it before and she completely forgot about her trapped leg as she looked at the hands, identical in size to her own push against her.

They seemed to be coming from the crystal seemlessly, and they exuded a feeling she hadn't noticed before. They felt.. comfortable somehow against her own skin. It seemed like they were built to hold her own hand and despite the coolness it felt somehow natural.

Her curiousity and puzzlement overwhelming her initial panic she withdrew her hands slowly from the Crystals mirrored ones, sitting slowly back onto her leg while seeing what would happen next.

Feeling the source of the warmth pulling away, Corundus again moved without thinking. The definition of the hands it had formed warped and faded as the crystal stretched and flowed upward. Tendrils of liquid-seeming stone slowly pushed into the air, seeking the soft warmth of the creature's touch.

The crystal entity's entire focus was on feeling more of that heat and the motion of its appendages showed that single-minded purpose. The tendrils moved - indeed they grew - unerringly toward the soft creature's hands.

She watched the crystal build on itself, fascinated as it flowed like a hard liquid towards her hands. It was truely amazing and Anne stopped pulling her hands away and pushed against the mirror image of her own hands, wondering if they would go down at the same time. She had never seen anything like this before and she was acting not unlike a child with a new toy. She always had loved curiousities!

Completely focused on this strange occurance she had completely forgotten that one of her feet was completely trapped by the crystal.

The definition of the hands Corundus had formed returned as they met Anne's returning digits. Now mounted on thin columns a few inches above the surface of the rest of the crystal entity, they were just as solid and immobile as they had been when first formed; at least for a moment . . .

Soon, Corundus' copies of the girl's hands became molds of those petite appendages as the crystal monster sent rivulets of stone flowing up and around them.

Anne watched, fascinated as the stone flowed before her eyes against all the laws of physics that she knew. As it flowed over her hands it gave a rather pleasant sensation rather like pushing your hands into a very fine sand.

Just as she pushed her hands down, she pulled against the liquid stone, expecting them to pull clear but they wouldn't.

Another quick pull, and nothing. There was no give in the grip and it held her hands solidly. Panic setting in rapidly she pulled again, as hard as she could.

It was a good thing Corundus still had a hold of the soft creature's leg, otherwise she might have been able to muster enough leverage to break free of the relatively fragile tendrils it had wrapped around her hands. As it was, the thin appendages cracked and gave somewhat, but were easily and rapidy 'healed' and fortified, growing thicker and more numerous as the crystal entity worked to secure its grip.

With a shriek, Anne pulled again, her struggles becoming less co-ordinated as she realised that she was losing the battle. Worse, the liquid stone was becoming more and more solid before her eyes, flowing like syrup on top of itself, becoming thicker even as she pulled.

Eyes wide, she tried to move her feet under her so she could stand. As she tried to pull she realised that her foot was still trapped and her only remaining limb was rapidly being covered too. Desperately, she kicked out, trying to free it.

Confident that it had control of the creature's other three limbs, Corundus turned its attention fully to the last flailing appendage. It sent a veritable thicket of crystal tendrils to reinforce the ones already beginning to crack under the strain. The new tentacles arced wide around Anne's leg, forming into a lasoo before tightening down.

Anne couldn't believe her eyes as her leg was trapped and placed by the side of the other, leaving her on all fours on top of a boulder that, til moments ago had felt like a perfect place to get away from it all. Now she was trapped and no matter how she pulled she couldn't seem to budge her hands.

Heart racing she frantically looked around, trying to see or think of anything that she could use to get out but with all her limbs trapped she was at a complete loss.

Still... Giving up wasn't something that Anne did easilly. With a cry of effort She pulled, sitting back as far as she could (which admittedly wasn't far as her arms were covered beyond her wrists). She pulled so hard she felt that she was going to tear her arms out of their sockets, trying with all her might to get them free.

It seemed controlling the creature's limbs was not enough to effectively restrain her. Corundus formed a new pair of stone tendrils, looping them up on either side of its captive's waist. They met above the small of her back and flowed together, then tightened down like a cinch.

As the crystal entity pressed down on Anne's back, it also pulled her limbs out and away from her body, slowly forcing her into a full-body embrace of its rocky surface.

Anne shrieked again as she was pushed down towards the crystal surface. She tried to keep her body braced against it but even as she did she felt her arms and legs being pushed away from each other, leaving her spreadeagled, face almost pressed against the surface of the rock.

Held like that, she had no way of struggling although her paniced mind continued, desperately trying to wiggle free, her head turning this way and that, trying to keep away from being sucked into the rock and possibly suffocating.

Post Re: Tales of Corundus - A Chance Encounter (Anne Deas)
Once Corundus had drawn Anne down against its surface, it stopped pulling at her body and limbs. As long as she turned her head one way or the other, she was in no danger of suffocating, though that was probably more by accident than design as the crystal entity had no knowledge of respiration.

Corundus once again molded its surface to match the young woman's form. Not so much for her comfort, but to facilitate the most efficient transfer of the exquisite heat that flowed from her body. A heat, it was pleased to note, that was even stronger than before. In fact, the more she wiggled the warmer she seemed to become.

For a time, it simply reveled in the sensation, paying no heed to the young woman's struggles except as a welcome amplifier to the feeling of warmth. But soon it noticed two important things: First, whenever the girl made one of her lound sounds, a burst of moist heat accompanied it. Second, the surfaces pressed against its rocky hide had vastly different textures. Indeed, some of them shifted as though not part of the creature at all.

With the way the creature kept thrashing her head about, Corundus wasn't sure how it would investigate the former - but the latter . . .

Corundus produced a tendril between its captive's legs, near where the textures met (the hem of her skirt). Starting on the flesh of the back of her right thigh, it slid the smooth crystal feeler upward, seeing if it would pass under the boundary of the rougher material above.

It took a moment to register, the creeping sensation on her leg. As she attempted to free herself (with no avail) the peculiar feeling of perfectly smooth, cool crystal filtered through her mind, accompanied by a very faint, most strange tingling sensation that ran just behind when the tendril was.

She froze, eyes widening horror as she registered what must be happening. Disregarding the odd sensation entirely she tried to force her head around to see down her leg but, with her body held tight she couldn’t see unfortunately leaving her imagination to fill in the gaps.

The frozen moment didn’t last long, and with renewed incentive to get free she resumed her struggling she let lose another shriek, trying in vain to shut her legs and prevent whatever it was crawling up her skirt any further
