“You already have, Lettie.” He answered though he stilled at the press of her hand against his shouldr. “There's no convincing you I take it?” He sighed, defeated over the issue. Fortunately he had listened to her somehat and wasn't too stubborn about matters. He knew that he could not keeep her here, it had to be her decision to stay.

“Good luck then.” He turned to go then glanced back to her. “At least stay the night, you need not hurry off.”

She felt the sting of his words and hated herself instantly. She truly didn't mean to hurt him but she could see no other options. Still, she owed him more than this cruel farewell. Maybe she should tell him the truth. Just as he was about to leave the room she decided to test the waters. "Do you believe in monsters, Sean. Not people but really honest to goodness monsters?"

About to depart Sean paused turning back to face her. He didn't understand what she was getting at of course. Monsters?

“You mean like Dracula and the Wolf Man? No, not really though as an inspector I've seen a lot of strange stuff that gives me pause. If you mean things like ghosts, well I always did have a thing for the paranormal and a belief in an after life. I think it's a pretty strong belief in workers that put their lives at risk all the time.:

"What sort of strange things? Things like this case with my brother? Where woman were found murdered with puncture wounds on their necks and drained of blood? Have you ever thought..." She turned to meet his gaze. "Maybe, just maybe, monsters like Dracula did exist? Would you think I was crazy if I told you I did believe in them and that's way I have to leave? Because its too dangerous if I stay, not just dangerous to our hearts but to people's lives?"

“What happened with your brother was damn strange,” he admitted though he had not admitted that theeir was anything supernatural there despite the stark evidence to the contrary. He had heard stories too about werewolves in France for instnace but he was still skeptical himself about many things.

“There are things I cannot explain Lettie or even try too but teach me. If that is what it takes to convience you to say so be it!” He seemed desperate now, though the hope in such words had been fading as soon as h spoke the.

He figured that she would not relent, but continue to believe in something far darker than he could imagine so he turned to the door in order to go, already admitting defeat as he went.

“Then I suppose I will see you around then, Lettie.”

"Damn it, Sean! I'm trying to protect you!!" She whirled around to face him. Hurt and anger in her eyes. He made her feel so heartless and maybe that's what she would learn to become eventually but she still had a part of her humanity left. If he wanted the truth then so be it. She would tell him what she was becoming and he would be so horrified he wouldn't want her anymore and she could stop feeling so damn guilty about hurting him. "I killed my brother, Sean. He came at me with knife, a dagger made of pure silver, and I took it away from him. Do you want to know how? You saw how strong he was. Three bullets didn't slow him down. So tell me Sean, do you really want to know where I got the strength to defeat him? If you think you can stomach it then I'll tell you."

This had been news to him. She killed Sebastain? That had not matched up with what he knew. Her M.O as a con woman, the fact that Sebastain had taken a few shot in the chest prior to this.

“What exactly are you saying, Lettie?”

He studied her in that moment, uncertain of how she was likely to respond given that he had already said there were things that he had not believed in. Even he could not deny the obvious. Still Sebastain was hurt, right, disarming and killing him would have been easy.

“I suppose you're going to tell me you're some sort of vampire or wewolf,” he sarcastically announced though if he only knew the truth of the matter ...

Lettie's eyes darkened and she frowned. "No, you wouldn't believe it if I just said it, would you?" She did move now, suddenly and taking advantage of all her new found powers, until she was standing directly in front of him. She stood close, eyes locked on his for a tense moment, then she turned and picked up the writing desk with one hand. "Do you believe me now? I'm not human anymore, Sean." She put the desk down and turned away from him. "I'm not a full vampire yet but I will be. Until then I'm even more dangerous to you than a full vampire. I can't yet control my hunger..."

He went wide eyed at the display, obviously disbelieving and yet seeing the very proof unfold before his eyes. He was frightened of course, that was only natural though somewhere in the back of his mind he realized that it could have been him that she grabbed rather than the writing desk.

Sean shrank back a little, if there were any similarities with her and her brother then he knew his revolver would do no good, not that he could bring himself to shoot her even now. A silver dagger, silver bullets like if she were a werewolf? Something ticked at the back of his mind … blessed silver bullets?

But he did not have time to consider that option.

No, he was faced with this now and it was apparent that she was in some sort of transition from one to the other.

“When you are full, find me,” and that was all he had said after a moment of silence, was he still being stubborn? Had he seen beyond this? Or was he terrifyied beyond belief. He did not explain though his hand fumbled for the door behind him with taking his eyes off her as he opened it. “Find me.”

He repeated the last before slipping out leaving her to truly wonder why. Did he think beyond this? Maybe wanted to be turned himself? He did not exactly stick around to chat though he seemed either fearful or awe/surprised at what she now was ...

"Find me"?!? That had not been the reaction she'd been expecting but at least now she didn't feel guilty. She walked slowly to the door and closed it. Then she went back to packing. "'Find me,'" She muttered in disbelief. "Damned fool." She'd probably never see him again. She sighed and sat down on the bed. What was she doing? She should be leaving ASAP. Her stomach was already beginning to ache with the initial pangs of hunger. She'd used too much energy tonight. The fight with Sebastian earlier and then this most recent display of power...

"God, I hope I made the right choice." She muttered to herself. She hoped Sean wouldn't run off to by silver bullets to kill her with. Would he hunt her down if she didn't find him later? She knew he still cared about her but knowing she was a monster now. Would he see evidence of them everywhere now? Would he eye each copse, inspecting it for bite marks? Would he blame her if he found any? She laid back on the bed and closed her eyes. "I'm sorry, Rico... I hope I didn't make us a new enemy to night."

And just as she made that comment the window was opened and a black cloaked Rico entered the chamber. The great thing about hotels was that they extended an invitation to the public and thus he need not be concerned with getting invited in, just as he hadn't last time.

He plopped down to the floor. “Forgive you for what?”

His superior hearing meant that he was close enough to hear at least the last part of her converstaion but he did not fret about the mater as he looked at her iniately. She was flushed, at least he could pick up on that and she needed a recharge.

Fortunately he had needed a recharge before coming here and had assumed that she might be needing one and thus drank enough for two.

“Never mind that now, come here, drink.” He presented her with his neck for her attention.

"Rico!?" She hadn't expected a reply. She craned her head back to see him entering her room through the window he had just opened. She rolled over on the bed and regarded him for a moment. How long had he been out there? Had he overheard her conversation with Sean? If he did he pretended not to have. She appreciated that he did not press her about it.

She raised a brow at him when he instructed her to feed. She fold her arms lazily under her chin and pretended to be even more tired than she was. "I can't. I'm too exhausted to move. You come over here." There was a hint of playfulness to that last statement. She smirked and waited to see if he'd indulge her.

Whether or not he heard what she and Sean spoke about was beyond her at the moment but he either hadn't heard all of it or pretended not too. Either way he had not seemed to concerned dismissing that when she looked to be in need.

Her request … well, he knew she had to be hungry but he indulged her by striding forward, how could he say no to such a playful look? He made his way to the edge of the bed, gazed down at her then.

“I suppose if you lacked the energy for a few steps it would be too much to stand or kneel to, he began before sitting on the edge of the bed, a lone hand falling to her back, stroking along it slowly as he regarded her, studying her eyes as he attempted to get a better feel of the situation whicj je already though he had a handle over.

Lettie smiled when he came to her and she rolled over onto her back when he sat down on the bed beside her. "I think I can manage a little movement." To demonstrate this she sat up and pulled him into a deep kiss that told him she was hungry for more than just blood. She'd missed him. Sean had left her confused and uncertain she'd made the right decision. She was in need of Rico's strong reassurances. She broke the kiss and smiled at him. "I'm glad you came for me. I wasn't sure how I'd find you if you hadn't."

“I figured it was easier,” he responded, “though we have to get going … but no rush on that.” She seemed to have convinced him to delay their departure a little longer with that kiss that he just received. He was not complaining why she was in such a playful mood, he could have thought it was based off of some guilt that she felt, sorry for what? She really didn't owe him anything but he was not going to reject her advances any.

“But, yes, I see that you are able to move somewhat … let's correct that.” He moved so that he was laying atop her now, his lips pressing down against her own as his hands swept along the sides of her body, dancing along them as they eventually dropped to run against her upper thighs, skimming against them.

“That is, if you are to open up for me.”
