Kirsty nodded weakly, still finding it difficult to move too much. She was relieved to be away from the gnomes but she was also glad to not be traveling through the woods while she was still mostly helpless. She had no desire to chance a meeting with hungry wolves while they were both still bite sized and she could barely stand let alone run. "Thank you, Harold."

There wer many lewd things that he might have said though he just smiled at her and nodded.

“Don't mention it ...” During the night they heard the baying of wolves and even had one stick it's head into the log, sniffing and tring to get at thm but little more than it's muzzle fit in the log. After a few minutes it gave up. Perhaps half an hour later she regained the full movemnt in her limps.

Sleeping in a log wasn't very comfortable but they managed and morning came. When their bodies started to tingle they knew that it was time to get out of the log. They grew back to their full size along with their clothing and the objects they were carrying luke the garnet …

Pressing onward Hardold escorted her to the town. “Unfortunately we don't have the gnomes to ask about your husband but finding a wizard shouldn't be too difficult.”

"Yes, he does seem to stand out in this world... Thankfully..." She muttered the last word under her breath. She didn't wish to seem ungrateful to Harold but she'd had a harrowing night. Now she wanted to find Kevin and go home. If they could. She had hoped that the garnet in her pocket was the key to their safe return. She hoped giving home had been her fiance's main aim and not treasure hunting. Thinking about it now though she wasn't sure... What if he liked it here? What if he was just seeing this as some grand adventure... She couldn't really blame him. She was excited about all this at first too. Had she been mistaken for an all powerful wizard when first got here and not just the potential wife of one... Had she not been molested by nearly every inhabitant she'd met here...

She frowned nervously. "Harold, do you know anything about this legend my fiance has gotten himself entangled in? Does collecting this treasure grant the finder any special powers? A wish maybe?"

“Hm ...” he cupped his chin and thought. “No, I'm not sure … he mysteriously showed up not too long ago and vanished before it could be determined as far as what we were going to do with him … I figured that he wasn't much of a wizard if he left before a decision could be reached, that or he really had pressing buisness to get to.”

He walked on though he gazed at the knife tucked into his belt it had grown from it's small size to a larger version and he had wondered why … their clothes shrank and expand with their size alteration … he wasn't sure how the magic worked, maybe everything on a person shifted magically to it's equivalent equivallent size. He did not know.

Though a long of walking later they got to the town, people were sporting her the occassional glimpse given her attire was out of place. Harold figured that he'd stick around until they at least found the wizard but a few armed guards an older man were coming there way after a local pointed in her direction.

Kirsty was beginning to think she should have tried to acquire some other kind of clothing before leaving Harold's village. The people in this town kept looking at her funny. It was making her rather uncomfortable. She just wanted to find Kevin and get the hell out of here. Her rotten luck seemed to be holding however. She saw some woman speaking to a group of guards and pointing at them. She frowned when the men gave her and suspicious looking and started heading their way. "Here comes trouble..." She muttered with a exasperated sigh. She turned to Harold. "We're not breaking any laws are we? I don't know any of the customs here."

“None that I am aware of ...” he returned having been to the village a few times he followed Kristy's gaze to the trio of men who approached, the older gentleman was Vigo … he didn't know who the two younger guards were.

The three approached the younger men with spears that had been held at the ready while Vigo spoke …

“Kristy? The bethothed of the wizard?” He gazed at her with a steady blue eye, taking in her strange attire as he addressed her.

Kirsty frowned at the older man's question, not liking that he knew her name. The only people who should know her name in this world were the people from Harold's village, Kevin and the lecherous gnomes. The people from Harold's village couldn't have told them, they were too far away. They could have heard of her from Kevin but he had no reason to suspect she was here. He could have spoken of her in general, she supposed but... That didn't explain the hostility she was getting from the guards. The looked from the older man to the two younger men flanking him, holding their spears as though ready for to sprout wings and devil horns. She wondered if the gnomes had some magical way of sending a message that would have beaten them here. She was pretty sure everyone willing to drug and rape a woman staying in their home would have no qualms about slandering her name before she could telling anyone about it.

She took a cautious step back and slightly closer to Harold. "Why? Has she done something wrong?" She hedged, not able to admit to being who she was if it meant getting herself arrested.

Perhaps it was just her questioning voice where the guards assume that this was whom they were after. As she shifted closer to Harold she became aware that they had been looking at him more or less, her body coming into their field of vision. One of the guards quickly glanced down her body as if making a once over in those two or three seconds before smiling.

The other was far more serious minded, staring dead ahead at Harold and not even bothering to pay her any attention.

The town head gazed at her with his blue eyes. “Are you she or are you not?” It seemed as if he could remain on top of things even if the guards had already jumped to conclusions.

Nell realized belatedly that the guards were staring more at Harold than at her. She wondered what that was about seeing as she was clearly the one they were looking for. Her frown deepened. "I'm not answering that question until you answer mine." She replied with a hint of annoyance. She was tried of trouble always finding her. "Look, I just got here and I haven't done anything wrong. I don't appreciate being interrogated in the bloody street. If you suspect me of something then just come out and say it."

Vigo sighed at he apparent stubborness. “Fine. No, he hasn't done anything … now are you Kristy?” They seemed to already know the answer but Vigo seemed to either want or need a confession on this detail before he could more on to ensure he was dealing with the right person.

Kirsty narrowed her eyes at the man and then finally answered him. "Yes, I am. You suspected as much though I don't understand how you knew to look for me. What do you want with me? And where is my fiance?" She voice was still clipped and suspicious. She somehow suspected that hadn't come looking for her because they wanted to throw her a parade. Well, in less it was a parade leading to her execution though if they'd meant to do that she imagined they'd already be on her, trying to arrest her.

“Yes, it was suspected, Kristy. Now come all will be answered in time. He trurned leading the way as the two guards drkftedback behind her as they walked on a short distance, the until they escorted her and Harold in a diaoated warehous.''”Kevin we have found her …......

A famialar face rose from a desk and set down his book. He turned and in which the man gazed at her, bkined then smiled. He took out a pair of glasses and out them on as if to ensure he wasn't seeing alything.

Kevin!

“It took you long enough,: he began with a smile curling up against his lips.

Her heart lept when she heard the man calling Kevin's name and practically did a somersault when she actually saw him. "Kevin!" She exclaimed as she ran to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. "You have no idea how happy I am to see you!! How did you know I was coming?"

He embraced her fiercely, his lips pressing don upon hers. “Because I knew you would look for me when I disappeared regardless of superstitions and get yourself caught up in the same ordeal I have.

A few things I won't get into in mixed company but I figured out a few things too. We seem to be in some sort of alternate dimension and can slid back with the use of magic device, I'll explain that later too. The only thing is this device was broken down so no one person could get their hands on it, a crown and four garnets and a ruby … I have the crown, and Zoot is suppose to bring me the garnet I lost when dealing with Razor Wing … I have a few locations that I found along with guarddianas pf these devics ...”

He then noticed his fiancees traveling comanion. “Who's he.

Kirsty looked back over her shoulder at Harold and felt a little embarrassed that she had momentarily forgotten he was there. "Oh, Kevin, this is Harold. I met him in the village you came to first. He has been kind enough to act as my guide while I've been searching for you." She didn't mention the fact that he had sexually assaulted her during the early course of their travels. He had rescued her from the gnomes so she figured that made up for his earlier behavior.

"Oh, and you needn't bother going back to find those rotten gnomes. We had a run in with them on our way here and... well... lets just say they revealed themselves to right pricks." She reached into her pocket and pulled out the garnet. "I managed to acquire this from them before they assaulted us though so that's one less think you need worry about. Do you have all the other stones already or must we hunt them down still?"
