It wasn't often that he had found himself in a bad mood. Today nothing seemed to work out for him. What were the odds that Alynia would be sick as well as Ryu? He had come all this way from the beach and while this had been Ryu's class, where said Ryu was ill, his eyes scanned the students.

As sensitive as his eyes were to the light they were actually pretty good at range. He glanced out in the guise of Ruby. She had appeared more athletic than the meek Cindy and if Ryu were here he would have dropped the disguise for something else.

The girls were doing something though. Some where racing, others going a high jump an others running hurdles or throwing discus. It was as if there were some Olympic training going on there but he did not know or care. He could have pressed his mind into someone's to find those answers but that was not why he came here today.

Aegir was about to turn away when he set site on a familiar face … one that he encountered quite awhile back when he was in one of his moods. At the mountains … he rarely went there and she had been the only one that he had taken there. He thinks, perhaps today wouldn't be so bad.

Class was not quit over yet but he pressed into her mind implanting a suggestion that she should ditch her next course that she should – she knew magic now, interesting. Aegir monitored those he met every so often or if it had been awhile to be apprised of any chances. Well, this made things interesting. Now why should she ditch class …

A false memory about a rumor that she could not quite remember. Or was it another student that gave praise to a cave in the forest where magic was potent enough to actually be effective on the island … more than the paltry parlor tricks she was use to. This the student or article determine had been due to ley lines that intersected at that spot.

Of course it was all rubbish but that was the false memory implanted with the directions of how to get there as well as the “suggestion” he then left the area knowing that he's need every second of that head start to get there before her.

In fleeting seconds, Narrisa was flung to the skies, her back facing the ground for the impact and her face basked in the sun. She soared above the school, her grades, her weaknesses, and fears. For a few seconds, she had wings.

All too soon, it ended, her back smacking against the large plastic padding of the vaulting zone, the bar popping off from where her toes had hit it.

"Lorris!" Yelled the gym coach, blowing the whistle on her. "Stop losing focus, that was an easy one!" The woman berated before turning her attention to the second student. Narrisa mumbled a half sincere apology as she rolled off the giant padding, landing on her feet. She flicked her blue braid behind her, already moving away to the sidelines, her concern about her improvements for the day gone. In truth, she had been distracted. Something more than even her leisure interest in track she had picked up.

She couldn't remember the faces of the girls and, even if she tried hard enough, couldn't remember where she had her it from. But supposedly, one of the girls had heard of a cave that helped with magic. Narrisa rolled her eyes at the thought. Likely, the girls wouldn't know what real magic was if it sparkled in front of their eyes. She would need to debunk this before it reached anyone or the monsters. Her next class was nothing of real importance, an elective she would be more than ok with missing.

"Coach! I'm headed to the nurses office!" she yelled, faking a limp on her right foot, not even waiting for approval. She lightly pulled down her white shorts, the fabric seeming smaller than she had remembered when she put it in her closet. She'd head straight there and, if it was just as she thought, she'd just catch the second half of class. From what direction she remembered the girls saying, it was only a half hour walk.

He had made his way into the forest, though he had a head start on Narissa but she was going to arrive there first. When he calculated this in his head later it actually benefited him blocking off her avenue of escape.

This had not been the first time that he used the cave. He had once used it to store an artifact that was no longer here so now he was free to use the location in other ways rather than just a hidey hole.

He would not arrive to much after the student though. Even with his head start it seemed that he had miscalculated the time it took him to reach the cave. No big deal though as he could sense her mind from a ways off. The familiarizes of it.

Once she got to the cave the suggestion would end and she'd be free to do as she wished though as Aegir closed in on her his skin tone shifting from various brown and green hues to better fit hi, his usual maroon robe had been discarded to better help him blend into the terrain.

Now his next angle would depend on her thoughts. Other than the main chamber of that cave which was dimly lit by the light spilling into it the other passages and chambers were dark indeed. But if she were not going to at least try her magic out in the first chamber after coming all this way then he would not to at least try some magic, he would take control of her mind to make her go inside if it were necessary especially seeing how that would buy him more time.

Narrisa looked about. The cave opening was on the short side, but an inner light from within showed that it wasn't just an end. She hummed aloud to herself as she questioned it with a look, taking a look around the surroundings. The mountains . . . A place she really didn't want to be caught alone in at night. Whatever she wanted to do, she would have to do in a timely manner. "

'Alright, let's go into it!' A smile stretched out on her face as her steps took a giddy pace into the cave. She blinked, honey-brown eyes tinged with gold as she looked with her mana sight. The strands of mana flowed within the cave, behaving . . . surprisingly different than what was the normal for such closed quarters. Her eyes widened at the sight, looking from the left and the right. The cave held quiet a few interesting things.

The walls were coated like granite, with soft glittery texture in its rocky surface. Further in, she could see a hole in the roof of the cave, providing a beautiful blue lighting as the sun rays bounced off the inside of the area. Several, large rocks laid strewn on the granite ground, large enough to lay flat on, some only enough on top to sit.

"Beautiful . . . Its almost like Antelope Canyon," she whispered, taking a silent moment to enjoy it longer, a sudden wave of nostalgia hitting her. All the way in the cave, she didn't have to bend down any more as she smiled fondly of her new area. And a small tunnel extended further in, showing she was just in one of several chambers. "This place is too nice for students to come and loiter. Maybe I'll make of it something of myself," she grinned, lifting up a finger to test a flame. . . .Yet it was still barely the size of a match. Her smile lost its strength.

"Now . . .what's wrong with this?" she spoke aloud, her soft voice echoing inside the cave.

As he desired she entered into the cave though of course she had felt that there was something wrong. He was nearly at the ave himself, he could see it now but rather than racing to it he reached out to touch upon her perceptions.

If he could alter things in her mind, make her think that these matters were more intense she may be prone to investigate further. He could control her to stay of course but he wished for this to seem natural at the time. Later, when he drew closer it would not matter .

He moved closer while altering her perceptions in that cavern though once at the entrance he pressed his mind into the girl's as he flowed into the passage. Last time he had generated illusions of rock slides though she was wise to that trick now. Even so if he controlled her like a marionette on strings no of that would have mattered and thus now as he lumbered forth he reached out to her mind slipping her mind around hers that ancient mind that came to easily dominate her own as he arrived on the scene.

Now dance for me puppet, he chuckled to himself. It's been a long time, Narissa ...

Narrisa frowned, going into the tunnel of the second chamber in the cave. "This isn't right. Kanoe's books said that environments of nature aren't supposed to hinder mana . . . Something's not right about this cave," she surmised, walking in forward with her wavering flame. Her steps were silent with her track shoes, their soft cushions silencing her steps.

The fire flickered off as she frowned at it, looking to her palm for the substance that extinguished it. "That's not good." Before she could reignite it, a voice was heard . . .But not in her ear, but in her mind. She suddenly became aware of the cold sweat that rolled down her back, sending her body rigid to the sound of the familiar taunt. Lifting her honey-brown eyes, she looked up from her palms, slowly swiveling herself before meeting her eyes to the shadow of the creature on the cave floor.

"No . . . . . " The name escaped her . . . But that would be the only thing, it seemed that would be allowed.

Aegir made his appearance as she was investigating the lack of flame. He saw her reactions, they were immediate and while torment usually wasn't his MO he had been grumpy.

[color=#BF40000]You have forgotten my name![/color] That was the gravest insult one could direct at him. He had been called all things but most insults slid by without effect. Some he had been amused by. But he was always remembered. Well then he would have to arrange things so she didn't forget it.

His mind roped hers like a lasso as he had her shambling forward.

[color=#BF40000]It is Aegir … what's this ...[/color] His foul mood was dispelled almost at once as he chuckle. [color=#BF40000]P.S Note to self: Need more underwear. And find a take out number where I can order squid. Use knives instead of chopsticks. Payback! You do realize that I have more in common with the blue ringed octopi than squid. I see that you have learned quite a bit since our last meeting. I was in a rather foul mood but that amused me a little.[/color]

He looked at her, dropped the mind control for the moment but held her fast with his telekinesis as he communicated with her. [color=#BF40000]I may have a bit of a challenge for you then. It is rather mismatched of course but it does give you more of a chance then you have now. Interested?[/color]

The old her, rose, fear gripping her as her body was seized in its control again. Aegir's control as she stammered forward, grunting in resistance. No She was helpless! It was happening! THIS was happening! Her heart felt like lead as she stood before the insulted creature, seeming more dangerous with her lack of name. But forgetting him was impossible. The fear refused to let go. The memory of her defeat seared in both her heart and her diary as he mockingly repeated her entry verbatim, baring her soul naked to him. But those only egged her to try and fight as he reminded of her of her strength.

"I didn't learn this to become your puppet!" she bit out, closing her eyes, opening to reveal the mana gold tint to them. Her mana-sight! IF he was indeed inside her mind, he'd be able to see the impossible many a threads about the two, dozens latching on to her and him, most likely his doing. The sudden drop made her flinch, testing to see if she was really within her own thoughts. Several of the strands cut loose, pulling back into him.

True, it wasn't magic,but it was just as effective. His were a pulsating purple, thrumming between red and blue energies. She tried a step, only to find her body wasn't entirely free. "I don't plan on losing," she said, the fire that was in her palms blossoming within her chest at the the thought. Yes! This would be her chance, and she would more than prove to this monstrosity that she was made.

She wasn't the freshman she was anymore.

He had considered lots of things, his mind had locked upon her own at that stage but he had found this way more interesting. Her confidence level had increased since the last time they had met. Of course that had meant little save for the fact that he could dash her hopes and let her know regardless of how powerful she became here she would still be weak. Maybe one day when she graduated but while bound by the inhibitors he really did not need to worry about her.

No one expects to loose but you will. I will let have free access to your body again. Beat me and I shall let you go. But when you fail you will submit without a fuss. Of course I could just keep you dominated if you are afraid. The choice of course is yours to make.

She needed no time to think of it, nearly letting herself jump at the opportunity. "DONE!" She shouted, already the mana in her hands building as she gave the creature a glare.

Her muscles tightened and coiled under her uniform, raising her shorts just the barest to the edge of wear her ass curved, her midriff showing where her uniform as her shoulders cocked back, lifting her breast to the sight of the monster. But no, it wouldn't be a sight to be please. It was that of a warrior being realized as she gave him a frown No one expects to lose, eh?

"Then I hope you take notes on defeat, because you'll be the one that does," she gave out, her hopes bolstered. If this was really a fair fight, if she was really able to go all out. . .

She just may win this

We shall see then, he goaded as he released her. He watched her then as she struck up a pose though he already knew that the fight was unfair. Still, he would gauge the results. He was interested in what she had learned.

He had pulled from her mind that she had learned with Kanoe. He had paid a visit to the witch long time ago when he had pulled her image from the mind of her then lover Clarice. He had visited neither in a while, longer than he had been away from Narissa in fact. Perhaps it was time now.

Her magic was probably darkness and shadow based, he had seen the flame already as he was loosely categorizing what she could do feinting forward with his slow movement towards her to see just how she moved.

Narrisa feinted to her left, the magic in her palms igniting again, albeit weaker than she would have liked. She went for a frontal, eager to get it over with as she neared her assailant. Of course this wasn't the only thing she learned, but now she was in a state of frenzy, eager to get this started, then done with.

Her eyes remained opened with her mana sight, watching for any of his threads of mana-like ones from connecting to her, paying more attention to what laid hidden to the naked eye, rather than what was in the physical realm. Kanoe had taught her some things, many of them from the tomes and books. But one thing that Narrisa couldn't learn, was anything exactly from the books.

She had her own flavors to the mix.

How cute, a feint. She clearly did not know how over matched she was. He knew her every movement as they entered her mind but since she did not know this he played with her some, pretending to fall for her foolish rouse. Moving a hair slower than what was normal not so much that she would notice it of course but enough where it might throw her off her game plan later on.

Of course he had not been worried at all by the magical flame. He had not even try to connect with her mind just yet. No, he was not seeped in the arcane arts, his powers more mental than anything. Of course, he was not going to remain idle. He was going to show her how useless the flames were with his natural resistance to such attacks and the inhibitors he very much doubted that she could do more than annoy him.

Once he is hit, however, he lashes out using telekinesis to shove her back forcefully though not enough to cause any real damage. His pupil less eyes peered at her, interested in seeing her next attack formulate in her mind. He suspected shadow magic. Clarice and Kanoe use a good deal of it last time.

Guess again. Flames will do you little good.

She neared to him, knowing, praying it would land, only for her body to be flung back against the smooth surface of the rock. She yelped, falling down to her knees and hands as her breast swayed, her sportsbra giving little support to such heavy duty expectation. She panted as he mocked her attempts, giving her wondrous skills such . . . frivolous attention. Like it was but a trifle a human was able to light fire with no fuel.

Her mind twisted into another need, formulating a plan within an instant, she jumped to her feet, eyes giving that knowing shine. 'This is it.' Yes, she had an idea, eyes only looking at the cavewall for an instant before running for the wall next to him, jumping before kicking off.

Mana traversed down her leg, electrically making the thin hairs on her leg stand on ends as they made to connect to its mass of a head.

Part of his mind gloated. Part of it wondered about such a magical trick. It wasn't as if he were incapable of learning he just never had to draw upon the magical elements before.

White eyes widened as she sprang forth. If anything grabbed his attention it was an attacker with a coral weapon or using electrical attacks. Even with the inhibitors he was still vulnerable to them, still not enough for her to win but at least she could land a few blows against him which would hurt.

Aegir was slow moving but dodging wasn't just about moving. He again used his telekinesis, this time to nudge her enough were she missed him. If you could not move out of the way of an attack move the attack itself.

Now he reached out into her mind. He could have commanded her not to use the attack but what fun would that be?

He observed her movements more keenly as he gave u some ground. Effective. It still will not help you though. Hit me with that attack and I will be annoyed so I suppose I should take this somewhat seriously, eh?

And then he robbed her of her sight for a few moments. When it returned there were multiple Aegirs all about masking the presence of the real one that had to be amongst the half dozen or so fakes.

The question is should I end this quickly or play with you a little more, decisions, decisions.
