"I have a zombie survival plan all worked put, and I don't even know what I'm doing after this place", Midnight sighs, and shakes her head. "It is a damn good plan, though. Maybe I should make a zombie virus just to see how good my plan is."

Forbidden to speak about her experiences on the island it looks as if she's scratching at her neck though she tugs at the collar still unable to remove it of course.

“I haven't given much thought I want to do after her,” get as far away as possible. “Tell me a little about your plan. Mine there is somewhat nonexistent though that's probably do to the fact that the zombies will probably ignore me too.”

"It's simple, really. Take car, get Gersham, kill Etolie, grab Dani and Rhaine, head to the Winchester, get a pint and wait for it all to blow over"

“I haven't had the chance to meet any of them.” Though Gersham and Rhaine are odd names she's not familiar with. “Why kill this Etolie girl? Do you hate her that much?”

Midnight's fist clenches. For a second, Daphne's thinks she sees a flicker of yellow in her eyes."I don't want to talk about it"

Maybe it was a trick of the light, maybe not but it passes soon enough and she realizes that whatever it is the subject is rather touchy for her so she drops it.

“OK, who are the others than? Students you've met? Gersham, sounds like a male name, a professor you have a crush on?”

"Dani and Rhaine are my roommates here. And Gersham is..." Midnight catches Saphnee's eye, and thinks she shouldn't mention this right now, in a classroom. "A friend. I was kidding about the plan. It was just a joke, a movie I watched the other day."

“Well, I assumed,” she grinned. This Gersham fella gets her more curious. A friend and not a professor? The girl didn't deny or confirm a crush on him either. The only other males here were … she leaves that topic alone. In all her time here these things are fairly cruel to her, all but two really and one wasn't useful in the long run but refrained from hurting her.

“What temperature do we bake the cookies at?” Everything was ready to go on that regard.

"It doesn't say. I'd guess 200 or so?", Midnight says.

“Hm. I guess well just have to eyeball it.” She preheats the oven then looks at the other girl.

“What made you choose Shokushu it the first place, Midnight?”

"Well, I'd... Rather not explain my reasons for joining..." Midnight whispers, blushing slightly and avoiding eye contact. "How about you?"

She was embarrassed about something but Daphnee wasn't trying to embarrass her at all. The question is turned around on her which has Daphnee thinking for a bit wonder just how much she was going to reveal in the end she would keep this simple.

“I needed to get out of Boston. No one liked me there and I thought that a new start would do wonders but I was mistaken.”

"What do you mean?" Midnight says, looking concerned.

She could have begged off but truth be told there were so few girls she had spoken to in passing. She pauses, glances about and sees that the other students aren't paying attention. They never are.

Sliding off one of her leather wrist guards she displays the gross number of scars there before sliding it back on.

“I had a lot of problems back home where the others tended to think I was a basket case and kept away. It's sort of carried over but I think it has more to do with confidence this time around.”

"They thought you were crazy back home, huh? At my old school, they thought I was crazy too. Know what I did?" Midnight asks.
