Another day had ended here on the island. Her adventures with Lily gave her some protection at least, a bargain that she had made with that creature Aegir, a favor that Lily more or less paid for on her behalf.

In the physical world she was protected though whether he was actually doing so was another matter. Even if he wasn't it gave her a piece of mind though she had never pressed her luck by doing those things that had placed her at risk.

But yet as she set the alarm clock given that she had an early Physics class in the morning she hated this part of the night. Eight hours of not knowing if she was going to be safe or not. She was vulnerable here though there had been only two creatures that affected her on such a level and one had been Aegir. The other …

A shiver washed over her. Not that her encounters with Wraith were unpleasant but for someone to have that much control over her, it was frightening. She brushed her teeth, gargled a mint flavored mouth wash and even flossed more out of a need of placing off the inevitable as long as she could.

Adorned in her night gown, with no further procrastinating possible she slipped under her covers to get some much needed rest.

Wraith noticed Izumi taking longer to get ready for bed than usual, obviously trying to delay the inevitable. He hadn't played with her for quite some time, but clearly every encounter has had a lasting impact on her nightly routine. He wondered what sort of dream he would be turning against her this time. More bdsm play? It seemed to be her favorite.

Once she falls asleep, Wraith enter her mind and gazes in the background to see what Izumi would dream about tonight...

She drifted off to sleep eventually, her mind imagining the terrors that the night could bring to her. Most days she had been lucky but she realized that that was not always going to be the case. Her dreams began. Minor ones that she would not recall though REM sleep was finally taking shape and she found herself sitting at a desk looking at the contents of a folder, a main in chains seated before her and a prison guard nearby.

She recognized this man or at least her mind had as it began former the foundations of a dream. Rick. Rick Jones. That was his name and he nearly beat her brother to death at that bank robbery gone bad …

A prison warden, that was what she was … details were slowly taking shape in her mind.

“Causing trouble again? Put him in solitary for thirty days. You'll learn or end up with a permanent room, how would you like that?”

Rick sat there in front of Izumi's desk as she looked over his file and then handed down his punishment for fighting with another inmate. "Hey now wait a minute. I didn't start that fight, so why should I have that many days tacked on?" He was clearly angry. This was not the first time Izumi seemed to single him out for harsher punishments. Yet he made no attempt to attack her.

“Shall I tack on another month?” She stated with a face that read that she would do so and there wasn't a damn thing he could do about it. Oh, this probably wouldn't be the last time she read his file and had it memorized. Each time it changed a little but she quickly familiarized herself with the new charges.

When there were no further objections she nodded to the guard to escort him away totally unaware of the situation that had been brewing though soon her cell phone would go off with the news, not surprising really but nightmares tended to begin as simple dreams after all.

Rick gave a frustrated but defeated look before turning away as the guards lead him out. But he then smiles a bit when no one's looking. He knew something was about to happen soon, and that he'd have his chance for retaliation. He just had to bide his time. So for now, he made no attempt to fight back.

A few days pass after that. Everything seemed to be business as usual. But suddenly, an alarm goes off as an attack on guards is announced. Then a second; then a third. There were uprises popping up all in several areas, and some of the weapons the inmates had were only supposed to be for the guards. There was a traitor within Izumi's ranks, and the chaos was spreading.

Her cell phone rang. Usually such devices were collected at least among the guards before their shift to prevent an inmate from getting a hold of them though in her case hers had not been seeing that she was apart from the prisoners and dolling down punishments had never really given a prisoner the opportunity unless she happened to be careless.

“WHAT!”

Her eyes widened, not at the fact that there was a riot but at the issue that the prisoners had armed themselves with better than average shanks and primitive weapons. The riot had not been contained to one cell block either as she listened to the details. A guard hurried in to escort her from her office. Others were being evacuated, all who were not guards or prisoners so she snatched up her purse and rushed to the door.

“We still have time, ma'am. Containment hasn't been breached and it's merely protocol to evacuate all nonessential personnel.”

Nonessential … well to the particular situation until a leader formed and began the whole diplomatic process or at least tried not that much would change if anything ...

The guards still loyal to Izumi escort her out of the office to safety. But as they get outside, a large pick up is seen coming up the road and turns, running down the fences providing prisoners an escape route. The same noise can be heard on the other side of the property. This was clearly a well organized attack both from inside and outside. Suddenly the doors burst open and the inmates come pouring out. Some immediately run for freedom, while other spot Izumi and her remaining guard and turn their wrath on them. The guards tell her to run while they try and buy her some time to escape.

An escape? She had thought that this was just some unrest that would be quelled in time but the scale of it, someone of importance making a grab at freedom? Once fence came down and another. She could hear gunfire from the guard towers but there were too many convicts, too many targets and to few guards.

While many rush towards freedom others head her way eager for vengeance upon their jailers. She could have had done the whole dramatic thing and tell the guards to come with her but this was their job, they would deal with the prisoners and she knew how vulnerable she was. She would only get in the way since she had no combat training and seeing the numbers of convicts had been unnerving as she fled back into the prison.

She would close off the doors behind her though seeing that the prisoners had already armed themselves, well some any way, there was bound to be one with a key lifted some how. Now was not the time to go through such breaches of security. Now was the time for flight which she did after getting the keys from one of the guards to unlock and lock doors behind her.

Just as Izumi locks the door, she could hear someone laughing a bit behind her. "Looks like you're having a pretty rough day, warden." It was Rick. He must've been released by other inmates or one of her treacherous guards. He stands a few yards behind her smiling a bit and his arms crossed. But his smile soon changes to a glare and he slowly walks towards her. "Now it's your turn to answer for your crimes. Did you really believe your harsh treatment of me would go unpunished?"

The voice behind her causes her to jump as she turns to face Rick, wide eyed she turns quickly, keys nervously shaking in her fingers as she tries to unlock the door and get back to the guards. It was dangerous though it was dangerous remaining here too.

It was fruitless though, he was too close to allow her to escape.

“No, stay back! You know you won't get away with this, I, I can help.”

Rick seemed unconcerned with her responses, stopping just about a foot away from her. "You owe me some answer warden. And if you don't give them to me, not only will I kill you, I will make your death especially excruciating." His eyes stayed fix on her like a beast hunting its prey. "First and foremost, why did you feel the need to hand down harsh punishment to me for minor problems?"

Kill? Her heart thumped against her chest as she gazed at him with blue eyes. Her back against the bars unable to open the door knowing that he was too close now though his question reached her ears. Robbery, assault … he was no murderer but her brother was nearly beaten to death so she wouldn't place it passed him.

“The man you beat … nearly killed … he was my twin brother ...”

"Heh, I thought you looked a little familiar. Well, here's something you didn't know about your beloved brother. You probably heard I was with two other guys who managed to get away. But in reality, your brother was also in our group. That's right. Your brother is a criminal just like me, only he is a traitor. He was going to kill me and the others once we got through with the holdup and take all the money for himself. But when things started going south, he decided he was going to kill the rest of us to make it look more like he was a hero. And I would've beat him to death had the police not stopped me." Rick then leans in closer. "As for you, you are part of the justice system and not allowed to let your personal feelings influence your judgement. Now I'm going to make you pay for abusing your position. Get undressed."

“Your lying,” she was in denial, it had to be lies, where was the proof?

Just by being alive she had her own opinions, everyone did, though who could remain impartial given the situation. But he commanded her to undress and she shook her head from side to side slightly.

“Don't do this,” she states with tear filled eyes.
