Of course she would question the matter, the illusion he generated had been seamless in just what she was feeling. Everything seemed to flow incredibly well and as she spoke he paused above her, still locked inside her. He seemed to give her words thought as if he didn't understand what she had meant at first.

Any pregnancy would have to be hidden, normally she would be whisked off to marry someone with his involvement promptly covered up. He didn't want that though. Just the thought of her with another man after saying nothing for so long, watching over her.

When he seemed to work out what she meant he smiled. “And what would that entail?”. Without waiting for her answer though he began moving again, nice long strokes inside her so she felt every inch of his passing.

She felt a fluttering of nerves as he feigned not comprehending her statement. She wanted this so badly but she was afraid he'd go all noble on her and insist he was not worthy of her. As though some unknown idiot with a title would somehow be better for her.

Naramis was determined to play coy though. She hoped that was out of some wicked desire of his to prolong her torment and make her state her wish out loud and not his attempt to brush her off completely. She suspected the latter when as she was about to open her mouth to answer him he started moving in long deliberate strokes so that only a moan could escape her at first.

She caught her breath and struggled to concentrate on what she was about to say. "You bloody well know what it entails." She reached behind him a seized his stupid ponytail and forced him to meet her gaze. "If you don't intend to marry me as your Queen then tell me now. I'll abdicate and Natalie can have the job if she wants it so badly. I want to be with you more than I want to be queen. Tell me you want me too."

He could have gone all noble, stated that they were from two separate worlds but it was too late for that. They had crossed a line and there was no going back, not that he had wanted to. Hearing her words had been as pleasant as hearing her moans, nah, better.

His eyes locked with hers. It was not his place to mention such things, he was the commoner after all. He didn't need long to calculate the matter though. At first he could not put it into words, his lips pressed against hers kissing her as deeply as he was flowing inside her. He halted though in his movements once that kiss was broken.

Shaking his head slightly he moved to answer her. “Abjucating is not necessary. As Queen you are entitled to change the rules I guess,” he bestowed her another smile. Granted, there would be a ton of talk but if she wasn't going to worry about it he certainly wouldn't. He wanted to keep her safe and he could think of no place safer than at his side.

It would be odd though outranking her so that was something they'd have to work around, maybe if he was beneath her in the hierarchy. He was so use to following her orders after all though all that was for later. He then began to move against her again, deeper, faster, each thrust reaffirming his want of her.

“But yes, yes I intend on it.”

Relief flooded her as he kissed her and told her not to abdicate. That he would accept her as she was, or rather what she would be once they thwarted her sister. It might have been simpler if they had decided to just run away together but that seemed disrespectful to all that they and others had sacrificed to get them this far. She'd take back her throne and then they'd worry about changing the laws.

But all those concerns could wait. This time with Naramis was precious. Who knew when they would find time to make love again. She smiled up at him as he resumed his thrusting, each one coming a bit harder and faster than before. "I'm glad... we are in... agreement." She breathed, she fisting a handful of his hair. She chuckled at his words, still high from their last release. "I'm not sure if King Consorts get to make decrees but I would certainly give that one all of my backing." She smiled up at him. She would have been content to stay like this forever but sadly they could not.

She sighed. "Of course, we shall have to get back home first if we intend to christen the royal chambers like this." She forced herself to sit up and look around the room. "Do you think our hosts have a bath we might utilize?"

(I think I will have to look back to refresh myself on this one. I remember there was a thief in their part who went ahead on some side mission but I forget what it was. Were we going to finish that quest up or did Aegir have other plans?)

(I had to look back on that earlier myself to refresh myself as to where things were going, it was easy enough to recall Jack went solo on getting the Bridging Stone so they could use the tunnel to get back to Brindel)



He remained at her side, not straying from it. All they had to do now was what for the rogue to get back. Well that wasn't all, they still had to get to Brindel and deal with her sister once there but they could do nothing until Jack go back or they discovered that something went wrong and they had to go off to rescue him, or brave crossing the desert.

Both were equally dangerous. He pondered her question though. “I'm not sure … we are beneath a desert so water might be a bit scarce. I could go find out if you wish but ...” He went silent as if there was some sort of calculation he was making before looking back at her as he rolled on his side to face her.

“You know I'd check but we'd have to behave after cleaning up and that could be a waste of water.” Whether the remainder of the night would be spent indulging in one another saving clean up for the morning or if they behaved themselves and got clean now he left to her.

Either way they would discover in time that there was a chamber that contained a bath. Hassan's people had access to a magical decanter that summoned forth an endless stream of water, well virtually so. When opened a connection to a river opened up allowing a gate to open between the decanter and river. The stopper was too small to allow fish to pass through and technically you could drain the river dry by keeping the liquid pouring but seeing just how long it would take was just not feasible.

Being fire mages the baths were kept heated with ease by adding heated stones to the bath, the barrel they were kept in maintained their warmth all the while.

It would be an hour or so after lunch when Jack returned. The left sleeve of his shirt was torn and wrapped about his left palm as a makeshift bandage. The Bridging Stone appeared then disappeared and appeared again in his right hand as he made a show of his sleight of hand.

“Miss me, Princess?” He glanced from her to Naramis to her again, smiling as if to say that there was nothing to worry about at all.

"Hmm... Well, I suppose when you put it that way if would be wasteful..." She smiled as she pretended to weigh their options. "It is early yet and we have clearly been left to entertain ourselves for the rest of the evening. We wouldn't want to limit our options prematurely... It would be more prudent, not to mention more considerate to our hosts, to save cleansing activities for last. In fact, I think it may be wiser to share a bath when the time comes, to conserve water."

She gave him a playful wink and they spent the remainder of the night indulging in one another until they were both too tired to continue. In the morning they bathed together, taking perhaps a bit longer than was absolutely necessary but enjoying the time together none the less, before heading to the dining hall towards lunch time and meeting up with Jack, much to Victoria's surprise. She hadn't expected to see him back so soon.

“Miss me, Princess?” Jack asked, shooting her one of his cocksure grins and she arched a brow at him. "To be honest, Jack, I hardly had time to miss you. Clearly, the rumors of your skill were understated. That or the menace of the fire newts was overstated. Tell me, Jack, which was it?"

“Certainly not overstated,” he grinned holding up his injured hand. “They managed to inflict a burn on me though it isn't too bad, a bit sensitive though especially when it hits something, hence the bandage to avoid unnecessary irritation when it touches something”

He turned over his prize to Hassan when he found him and it was taken away. As was he finding someone to treat his burn and grabbing a new shirt. The three of them had been gathered up by Hassan later on, Aziz had been present as were several others.

“I did not expect results so soon,” Hassan began just as surprised as Victoria had been. It was barely enough time to get to the fire newts and back let alone steal back the Bridging Stone. Jack gave a half smile at that.

“As agreed you will have access to the tunnel, you are free to stay the remainder of the day and set out first thing tomorrow if you wish. The fire worms will no longer be an issue so the trip should be easier and much quicker now.” Aziz translated for Hassan as he always had.

The men did not answer, just looked to here. As far as getting back there was no pressure on Jack. He was imprisoned before this and did not have to get back before a coronation or stop anyone ascending to a throne. He still looked towards her, though time was a greater issue to her and Naramis.

She looked between her two companions, seeing that them were looking for her for a decision. She, of course, wanted to set out as soon as possible but there were Jack's injuries to consider. "I think Jack might need the rest. Unless there is a healer here who could treat those burns." She looked to Aziz hopefully. A healer would be a great help but if they did not have one the only thing that they could afford to do was delay their journey an extra day and hope that the extra rest helped.

Burns seemed common enough among fire mages. They had protections against it, salves to ease the sting of burns that they suffered. “You could kiss it and make it better.”

Naramis glared but was cut off before he could say anything as Jack waved it off. “It's fine. I just won't be able to do any two handed tasks for a bit. I would like to grab something to eat though but other than that I'm good to go though I don't need to delay I'm not going to complain about it either.”

He smiled. Naramis continued to glare for a moment longer. Before things got too heated though Aziz chimed up. “We have a healer. He is not too gifted but can treat such minor wounds. The tunnel is near there and it would be necessary to pass by that way to use it anyway.”

He then waited on the situation to dissolve, though Hassan and the others had no clue as to what the discussion entailed at this point, Aziz chose not to translate that mess.

“Princess,” again attention swung back to her awaiting her decision on the matter.

Victoria was relieved to hear that there was a healer. Jack may not be complaining but they would all need to be at their best if they were going to succeed in taking back her throne. "I would rather not delay longer than necessary. Let's go to the healer and on our way. We still have a long way to go and time is running out. You are sure you are good to travel, Jack?"

“Good to go,” Jack confirmed. A short time later they had been on their way walking down a well lit tunnel with Jack trailing as he was eating a sandwich and Aziz leading them onward. There were the entrances of homes that they passed, even a large tunnel where they could all walk side by side if they wished.

There had been a brilliant red-orange glow further down the passage and it was warm, they could feel the heat emitting from something. Aziz lead them past to another entrance of a large passage, just beyond had been a temple of some sort.

The entire place was subterranean so homes where chambers and places like a temple had been dug out and carved. Inside there were rows of stone pews shaped from the stone itself, a lectern and a huge statue with a large emblem of the sun on the wall behind it.

A middle aged man was here, adorned in gold robes. His skin was a shade darker than there own, his eyes a golden brown, his hair dark. He had many of the features of a Sorocconian but he was not as dark, a half breed perhaps.

Aziz spoke to him, he nodded and before long he unwrapped Jack's bandage, looked over the burn, nodded then healed it with the mere touch of a finger. It took a few minutes, though the wound vanished. Afterward he said something looking over the quartet. Aziz translated for him.

“He wishes for you to turn over the Bridging Stone now.”

She blinked bemusedly at Aziz's translated request and turned to look to Jack and then back to Aziz. "I'm sorry? I don't understand. I thought Jack gave the Bridging Stone to Hassan. Does the healer need it for his spell?"
