I guess my style is just an amalgam of various influences, mainlu manga, but also other stuff. Basically, if I see something I like, I try to rip it off

I do like 40's pinup style pictures, so I think it is cool if my things resembles them, even if it isn't something I have been conciusly aiming to do.

EDIT: Speaking of pin ups, I found this one. I just joking around with giving an early version of Pia various costumes.

Aaaaand I think most authors would do it the way you're doing it now, which probably would have led to them finding their own 'style', so keep on doing it! Excellent work so far, Pia!

Anyway, I have not posted any stuff related to the pixies so far, so I'll rectify that. This time, it is a picture with something that resembles tentacles as well, so for once the stuff I post actually have something to do with the title of the thread.

I am trying to meet Calidare's challenge.



The idea is that the girl is trapped in a tank of ozygen enrichened liquid (so she won't drown), but she does not know that. The tentacles are supposed to be probes.
Next time I try a lab pic, I am going to go for something involving straightcoats. I have a few scetches around.

Thanks! I tried going for a sense of distorted perspective through the glass and the water. I used a bunch of photoshop effects, but I am afraid the colors and the lineart suffered as a consequence.

I am in the process of learning photoshop. Before that, I mostly used colored pencils or watercolors, but both of those are nearly impossible to scan well, at least with my cheap scanner.

I should again >_> As much browsing on google/yahoo/others I've done to find a remotely similar pic for Narissa I just may HAVE to draw it myself.

But the last time I tried to draw, skin tone included, was this (inspired by Link, LOZ, don't ask XD. Still needs work==>
