Homeschooling (for Magnes and Kalysta)
Steel stifled a yawn sharply as she leaned against the cold concrete wall. Her eyes flicked briefly to the younger, pale-skinned woman beside her and then back to the door at the top of the bare wooden steps. This lesson was not shaping up the way she had planned at all. First off, there'd actually been a line today waiting for girls to punish. This wouldn't have been such a bad thing if she hadn't arrived late and therefore had to sit and watch, silent and unseen, as others took their prey away. Secondly, it seemed there'd been a run on passive little whelps getting in trouble, which boded poorly for her intentions to teach her daughter about subduing a rebellious girl. Finally, as if to cap the whole thing as a perfect mess, she'd been dining lightly since she'd made the other, and the lack of energy was just starting to tell. She folded her arms and frowned, briefly considering canceling the whole affair as a bad job, and readjusted her position along the dimly-lit corridor. Of course, doing so would require cleaning out the room she'd prepared without even using it, and by now someone was due to be sent down with a note for punishment or else make the grievous error of wandering in of their own accord. In the meantime, she steeled her resolve, determined not to let her mood affect her daughter.

Re: Homeschooling (for Magnes and Kalysta)
Kalysta wandered into the basement having decided to explore the school. She wasn't paying attention to where she was going, and couldn't tell you really how she made it here.
"Well damnit I know my directions better then this."
She had a strange feeling that she had once been able to go through dark halls without any like and never make a wrong turn. Of course those were just dreams, just as the ones of family. She had been told children from the foster care system were prone to dream things that never happened.
"Wonder where I am exactly."

Re: Homeschooling (for Magnes and Kalysta)
The other, perhaps more normal looking of the pair, gave a heavy sigh and with it a long, heavy yawn. Hopefully not the contagious sort, for her mother's sake. The whole idea of waiting for a student to stumble along the corridors looking stupid seemed rediculous. Knowing if she were in the student's position, she'd skip out from any sort of given punishment. Of course, humans werent as.. durable as she was. Rolling this thought still within the void of her mind, going over the possible outcomes of what could happen if a girl came by or not. All this went on until at last she turned to her mother, looking mutinous.
"Is this what you do every day?" she asked with a slightly sharp tone, a platinum brow lifted curiously as those crimson eyes stared up at her parent. "Are humans really so stupid to just walk down here and into us? Accepting their fate?" she sneered at this, though her defiance melted away rather quickly, though no hint of shame came over her.

Re: Homeschooling (for Magnes and Kalysta)
The gray woman cast a glare at her pupil, restraining a slight growl. "No, Magnes, this is not what I do every day. Patience, though, is one of the virtues you'll need to learn if you want to catch anything good in this place," she said, trying to keep the edge from her voice and failing slightly. "And you're not thinking if you believe the ones that come down here for punishment do so fully willingly. Most humans can't comprehend what happens to them, so they forget, and the others reason, and correctly so, that it's better to accept the inevitable than fight it and incur further penalties." Her gaze slid away from her daughter's at the sounds of footsteps and the feel of a mind passing the staircase before their silent conversation. "Be a dear and watch her escape, and I'll show you how naive they are." Steel strode out of the shadows to intersect Kalysta's path and turned to face her, standing in clear view under one of the bare light bulbs adorning the flat ceiling of the hallway. When she spoke again, her voice reached into the audible ranges and echoed slightly down the corridor. "Well, come in then. What have they sent you down for, hmm? Probably picking fights, by the look of you," she said as she held out a hand, waiting for the girl to hand over the punishment slip she knew she didn't have. Cold, yellow-green eyes, slit vertically like a serpent's, roamed over the much shorter girl's form, lingering curiously on her surprisingly ample bosom.

Re: Homeschooling (for Magnes and Kalysta)
Kalysta looked at the woman as she appraoched. Her expression turned even more blank at her words. They sent her for fighting she thought. Why was her hand held out. She was confused at what the woman wanted.
"I'm sorry I don't think I understand completely. No one sent me here, I think I'm lost. I was exploring the campus and I guess I took a wrong turn."
She looked around trying to determine which way she should go when she leaves.

Re: Homeschooling (for Magnes and Kalysta)
The sound of the foot steps had indeed reached Magnes as well, though she didn;t stir until her mother said otherwise. Her red eyes shining like a dying lamp, shining eeriely through the darkness as she slipped out of the shadows behind her mother. Arms left to hang at her side, she looked mildly interested, though her eyes wandered off to other details besides the girl. Focusing, as her mother said, on possible escape routes the girl might take, or perhaps, wondering if the girl would test the newly arrived creature's strength?
"Naive indeed," she whispered darkly from behind the girl, hoping to startle her. "Maybe she's lying? Beating up the weak ones, yes, that's always fun," the pale girl mused dangerously, her lips curling up into a twisted grin.
Magnes shifted her footing, crossing her arms under her small breasts with her right hips tilting out to the side just barely. Her voice rasping dangerously, seeking nothing but to prickle at the girl's possible fears. "How many lashes do we give for lying mother?"

Re: Homeschooling (for Magnes and Kalysta)
The dark rumble of a chuckle slipped through the taller creature's lips. "Indeed. Thank you, daughter, you're quite right. Now, young lady, if you won't be upfront about what you've done, I'll just have to assume you're cutting class to explore restricted areas of the campus AND lying to us at the same time. Let's see, that's five lashes for the lying, ten for cutting class, and ten more for being where you shouldn't," she said, counting off the penalties on her fingers. "If you'd just be a dear and step over here, we can get you your twenty-five lashes and you can be on your way," she continued, indicating a room just off the side of the hallway.

Re: Homeschooling (for Magnes and Kalysta)
Kalysta folded her arms across her chest and looked rather impassive. "I don't know what you are talking about. I haven't done anything, I don't beat up othe girls. There was no sign that said this was forbidden or restricted area." She was surprisingly monotoned in voice and no emotions showed on her face or in her actions. "Why don't you two go off and play nicely together and leave me the hell alone. Shoo now," she told them.

Re: Homeschooling (for Magnes and Kalysta)
The attitude from the girl spiked a bit of rage within the smaller creatures subconscious, the sort that boiled and brothed at the seams of her sanity. But such an outburst was kept in check for the time being. She even found the stubborn girl a little laughable, even more so when they were told to shoo. "Shoo will we? Hold your tongue, or I'll cut it off," she said dangerously, that rage leaking just slightly into her waking mind, pools of molten silver seeming to drip from her palm as a fine edge began to solidify from it. A blinding white hot flame ignited, and faded within her hand. A six inch blade with a black leather hilt formed from out of nowehere within her small hand, tipped to the concrete floor within a loose, careless grip.
"Can I mother? Have an apitizer before the main course?"

Re: Homeschooling (for Magnes and Kalysta)
"Magnes, that is not an appetizer. We do not cut on the students without warming them up," she said, her gaze suddenly stern and fixed on her daughter's. Her eyes swiveled to Kalysta's and narrowed. "No matter how impertinent they are. Young lady, I do not appreciate you taking that tone with me." Her hand dipped into her vest and came back bearing a pair of heavy manacles. "Now, I'll give you a choice. You can hold out your hands like a good girl and accept that we're going to have to punish you, or I can rethink my decision to stay her hand."

Re: Homeschooling (for Magnes and Kalysta)
(Sorry I forgot..)
Kalysta shook her head becoming extremely angery now. "I don't know who the hell you two think you are but I suggest you leave me alone. You are both nuts and obviously have no idea what you're talking about."
Turning on her heels she shoved past walking back the way she came. She was strong and it showed as her muscles rippled in her angery movements. Her body was the sleek well toned body of someone who had been well trained.

Re: Homeschooling (for Magnes and Kalysta)
The younger creature's own anger peaked, the odd chemistry of chemicals and new genes in her system spiked dramatically. Lashing out with a firm hand, clamping an iron grip down onto the girl's shoulder to prevent her from any such thought of escaping, only helping to highlight the bold nature of any new monster to the isle. No one so much as even thought of offending her mother, or so she had thought.

Re: Homeschooling (for Magnes and Kalysta)
The gray woman's feet clacked now on the floor as she walked in a slow percussion across the floor. Her own hand ran softly over the pale hair of the younger creature and a snarl escaped her lips.
"Good job, Magnes. This one doesn't seem to understand what's going on at all." Gray skin shifted and slid and moved faster than should have been possible to place her silently in front of Kalysta. Steel's eyes flickered towards pure, hate-filled yellow as they took the student in again. "Well, Daughter, I think you'd best take her into the room we've prepared. And don't be so surprised at her rudeness. There's a reason they send these girls to us."
